Riot, is there any particular reason why Zyra's ult cost still scales with rank?
Veigar has an ult that is a flat 125 . Zyra's still goes 100-120-140 at ranks 1/2/3 respectively. Is there any reason this hasn't been changed to either a 100 at all ranks or 125 at all ranks?

Pika3103 votesFor the exact same reason it took so long for Rito to fix Sona's ult cost: Rito hates Zyra and doesn't want her to be a viable character. Every time I come on the Boards, I see threads asking for Zyra buffs, Rito doesn't care about our voices, their only interests are self-serving ones and this isn't likely to change anytime soon. It would essentially require replacing the majority of their biased "balance" department employees.

CrazedPorcupine1 votesRemoved mention of Zilean, I generally build so much mana regen and mana on Zil that his Ult's cost become non-relevant to me.
As for Zyra, she's the only mage/support left to have a non-flat ult amount aside from Zil, but Zil's is a massive freaking revive that has a 45 second cooldown at rank 3. (Even lower with more CDR down to 36 seconds at 40% CDR)
The closest person to Zyra for Ult of Impact would be Sona, and they chnaged Sona's to a flat 100 at all ranks.

if i remember correctly, now that i think of it she had a buff on her ult in pbe but after they upgraded the ai on her plants they were very happy with the results and took the buff out.
i think riot said that they took out the buff because of her new plants gave a lot power

Illaoi's ult does this so why not Zyra? Her plants die stupidly fast and it is 30-40% of her damage.

On top of that she has an ability that doesnt cost any mana so I guess thats compensation?
1000angrybees1 votesI'd have to agree with this. If anything, it's a pretty good ultimate for how much it can do (AOE, CC, buffs her plants), and considering she has one charge based ability.
Edit: I don't think she shouldn't have a flat cost of like 120 or so, though.
CrazedPorcupine3 votesThe thing is though, Malphite ult is a more immediate AoE knockup+Nuke while being a flat 100 Mana cost across all 3 ranks. Yes it buffs her plants, but comparing it to other massive AoE CC ults, Zyra's is has comparable damage, a much more DELAYED CC effect, and still has a scaling mana cost.
1000angrybees1 votesMalphite's ult is possibly the ult I hate out of any ability in the entire game. It's honestly too fast, too strong, AOE, unblockable, and pretty damn hard to miss with (at least 99% of the time, only by something like Kayle's ult or Fizz's pole)
