There used to be a lot more cheaper skins before with same satisfaction as 1350RP skins, if we don't count Trynda skin,last time we had cheaper skin was on aprils fool (4 and half months) and new SG skins are also 1350RP,so why not release more 975s?
I noticed that as well. Looks like 1350 will be the new default price. Ornn's secondary skin is 1350. I remember when most secondary skins on release were 975. Feelsbadman. Riot getting greedy af.
I prefer the 1350 skins, they look nicer and if you're going to spend money on a skin it might as well look awesome
I mean...why make 975 skins when you can have a nice polished 1350 $10 skin.
It fluctuates. We are currently headed towards Worlds, so Riot is capitalizing on the heightened viewership to rake in them big $$$ off of "higher quality" skins. I imagine in the off season we will get more 975 and 750 skins.
I remember Riot saying it once somewhere that they just release different types of skins to kind of balance the types out. They released a lot of 750s for awhile, then we get a ton of 975 and so on.
To be fair, the skin prices are rising in correlation with the rising skin quality. No more simple palette changes, no more 520RP skins.
Just makes it so I stop buying skins. I mean, while the skin is 1350, I got to spend twenty dollars by default just to be able to get it and I don't like spending that much on League at once, so I just don't get RP. When they go on sale, maybe, but that's if I'm even paying attention to League at the time.
Because people complained when THEIR main got a skin below 1350.
So here we are.
Typically skin lines tend to be 1350+, and it seems riot have been focusing specifically on skin lines lately.
Same quality, new brand, costs more. Business 101.
