"Can ward as much" means sometimes they DO ward like they should, which is not contradictory to the previous statement.

Silver supports tend to ward. Its the adc/mid/top laners warding less than 5 times total in games lasting 60+ mins. So glad I finally climbed to gold.....Now maybe top/mid laners will ward?.......Doubt it.

I doubt it. I have seen too many silver supports who don't even bother in purchasing a item 2049 . Unless they are dedicated support mains, don't expect them to ward. However, support mains are very rare on lower elos due to being difficult to carry as a support in low elo.

I don't think it will. Yellow trinket provide 2 wards at the start now. Upgrade is free and automatic.

The "dead" ward changes seem interesting though.

All these years later, still funny. Riot even went as far as to make the "Scarra" ward impossible to do with out the Scout mastery skill. Now they just need to rename Scout to "Scarra's Blessing" and it would be the icing on the cake. :)

naw, supports will start with a pink. maybe toplaners (herald control)... jungle will be the early game ward bitches with jungle item . leesin meta. wards will be everywhere for no gold investment.

I always have the second most amount of wards placed on my team (because support with sightstone OP).

And I never buy stealth wards. Ever.

I just upgrade the trinket. So much more efficient.

They get a charge system now, so you'll have it up two-thirds of the time before level 9.

Does this mean that green wards can't be purchased in the shop, but can still be used via trinkets/sight stone? Or that all green wards are gone for good? I am a little confused on the phrasing. This sounds like everyone only has access to pinks, which is an awful idea.

When asked if trinkets and sightstone still exist for green wards, Axes noted: "Correct. Sightstone still exists (and has more upgrade paths), yellow trinket still exists, but you can't just spend 75 gold for a one-shot stealth ward anymore." As for other vision changes, Pwyff noted: "You'll see a few changes to support this rather than a raw "strip wards out." Pink wards, for example, are getting cheaper, trinkets automatically upgrade, and sweeper has some new functionality. We'll have more details next week! edit: Big one: Yellow trinket starts with 2 wards automatically." Fearless also added: "We have a lot more changes to the vision game that we haven't revealed yet. Short story is that we're giving the jungle a few more ways to opt into the vision game, which allows junglers a greater ability to actively augment and control vision. I just find it hilarious that RIOT wants to promote team warding by removing the most purchased ward type (save trinket). Wouldn't a better solution be to make them more cost effective if you want to have people ward more?

considering the only wards you can get are free, or part of an item that lets you spam them and now has upgrades... id say thats 2 less reasons why you should depend on the support buying wards. not that the concept of it wasnt atrocious enough with a hard cap on wards per player.
