Sly, the Acidic Squid

I have been playing Splatoon lately, so I want to make a champion that has the same feel that still feels like a League champion.

So in the same vein Sly is a transforming champion between half-human and a full-squid with pretty high mobility, but it has to be set up in some way.


Basic Attack Range: 475 units Movement: 325 units per second Acid Pool: 100 Acid


Acid Spray (Passive): Max Jump Range: 500 units Sly's attacks and abilities leave behind pools of acid on the ground for 12 seconds as they travel.

If Sly walks over these pools of acid he transform into his squid form to swim in it and gain 10%(+6% per 100AP) bonus movement speed.

Sly can jump over terrain if he is currently in squid form and jumping into a pool of acid by issuing a movement command into it. Sly ignores unit collision while swimming in acid.

Sly's abilities consume Acid, Sly restores 10(+1 per 10% base mana regen) Acid per second while swimming in pools of acid, Acid consumption is reduced by 0%(+5% per 100 bonus mana).

Sly's attacks and basic abilities take him out of squid form.

Octo-Cannon (Q): Cooldown: 4 seconds; Cost: 20/25/30/35/40 Acid; Range: 1000 units Sly fires a ball of acid in the target direction dealing 50/70/90/110/130(+40%AP) magic damage to struck enemies. If Sly emerged from squid form then Octo-Cannon deals double damage.

Acid Spitter (W): Cooldown: 6 seconds; Cost: 6/7/8/9/10 Acid per second; Range: 600 units / 80 degrees Toggle: Sly constantly spews out acid in front of him dealing 40/55/70/85/100(+25%AP) magic damage per second. Sly cannot enter squid form while Acid Spitter is currently active.

Sticky Goo (E): Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds; Cost: 40 Acid; Range: 1000 units Passive: Enemies are slowed by 3/6/9/12/15%(+3% per 100AP) while on pools of acid.

Active: Sly shoots out sticky acid in the target direction stunning the first enemy struck for 1.5 seconds and dealing 60/90/120/150/180(+40%AP) magic damage.

Eruption (R): Cooldown: 130/110/90 seconds; Cost: 50 Acid; Range: 600 units Eruption can only be cast while in squid form, locking himself out of his human form while charging.

1st Cast: Sly charges himself for up to 4 second, while charging his movement speed doubles.

2nd Cast: Sly erupts powerful and steaming hot acid above him knocking enemies into the air for 0.5 to 2 seconds and dealing 150/225/300(+70%AP) true damage to struck enemies. Knock-up duration based on how close enemies are to the epicentre.

This is a cool champion concept, but you have to remember that manaless based casters are incredibly hard to balance.
