Singed Rework [Suggestion]

Hello, here is my suggestion which will tackle some of the core issues with singed and help to alleviate them somewhat, but keep him still interesting to play and have defined weaknesses.

The biggest problem Singed is facing is in my opinion.

  1. His item synergies
  2. His lack of range.
  3. His lack of depth

1. His item synergies

The first problem I want to tackle is that Singed compared to most other tanks and fighters who either scale with HP, AD or HP is that he has an additional scaling which is mana. The problem is that more often than not is that you will be goaded into buy Mana items like item 3027 and item 3003. While these might be more viable now on him after the Mage changes, but most people recommended going Xitem 1056 into item 3116 prior to that.

So at some point people totally ignored his passive, which means his powerbudget is being underutilized. Additionally Singed as a champion is actually one of the few champs where you can down prioritize cool down reduction so while he could use items such as item 3025 item 3110 and gain more "Value" compared to other champs you will actually rarely want them because Singed is a strategic champion and doesn't rely on spamming attacks and he would actually rather want item 3143 item 3742 or item 3075 .

Not to mention building to much mana is a huge noobtrap...

New Passive: Empowered Bullwark Singed converts 25% of his maximum HEALTH into bonus MANA.

Aside from changing his base stats and perhaps toning down how much mana he gets this change will give singed a better quality of life as he can now build straight HP and gain something from it. His starting items will give him a more satisfying start besides going flask since you will gain mana from them item 1056 item 1054.

Also since singed can build health earlier he can buy item 3211 or item 3751 and follow more the same curve as champs such as Maokai which see more promenint play and is not as heavily as denied when farming(because of their range).

With this change Singed item pool seems alot nicer for him.

2. His lack of range.

As you might notice with all the reworks happening to toplane champions is that they gain ways to farm from range(Poppy andSion ) or they can block out the damage (Shen and Poppy ) or they have sustain within their kit like (Maokai and Trundle )

The point being is that singed doesn't have that except for more hp or better base regen which doesn't mean a whole lot when the enemy picks a ranged toplaner and he knows what he is doing.

My suggestion is that since the change above helped out with his mana problem and makes him able to build items that will better help him survive lane or make it easier for him to rush item 3116 It means we can shift his powerbudget abit to give him something which makes him not totally stomped by ranged.

Here is the idea:

Mega Adhesive: Cooldown: 14 - changed to --- > 10 seconds Mana: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 changed to ----> 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90
SLOW: 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75% changed to ---> 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% New ability: Minions and small monsters are executed below 15% hp.

The idea here is that we nerf his ability to catch out enemies during gank scenarios for the added ability to farm. Also now his fling and mega adhesive are now on equal cooldown and will make singed much easier to predict and play as.

3. His lack of depth

So Singed is perhaps a simple champ and while Riot have added more playmaking with his root mechanic singed is still really unique and while I wont make him complicated I would like to add something to make him feel more relevant to his lore.

And that is why I want to change what is the most boring part of his ultimate into something abit more interesting.

Whenever singed FLINGS a minion or monster they will now drop a flask that he will use to boost his ultimate. Champions will drop 2 flasks. Enemy champions can stand on the flask and break it.

The more flasks he gather the better his ult becomes and thus the bigger the payoff when he uses it which should give you abit of a thrill when you play singed.

The only thing I really agree with is to change his passive.

He actually does have a lot of depth to him, it is just not in mechanical skill. It's in game knowledge and mindgames, which makes him extremely unique, and, difficult to master. The only real mechanical skills that he has that you should learn are void tosses and sky autos.

I love the your idea for the ult, but honestly, not everything has to be complex in league. His ultimate, at least for me, is satisfying to use, and has its own difficulty to it, albeit an extremely small difficulty, timing it right. Plus, it is one of the few truly useful steroid abilities in the game.

He's a solid champion for now. Until 2019/2020 when every single champion in the game has a passive on every skill, a three hit system, and dashes, he's fine where he's at.
