Riot Doing Only 2 VGU in 2020 and 5-6 new champions in 6 months again. It's a problem.

So they are only doing 2 VGU in 2020 and doing 5-6 new champions within 6 months of each other, again? That's really showing us they care. What are they doing to solve the problems created by Riot in regards to Karma, Quinn and Skarnar? What are you doing about the fact that there are tons of players who feel like you are just not doing enough with older champions while prioritizing all of their efforts into new and the same champions every year? It's time to just move on from this game. I knew this was going to happen again where Riot Game Developers still don't care about problems they created and instead of addressing them, create new champions with even more overloaded kits and ignore their older ones that players have been clearly asking 7 years for you to address. What a joke.

I don't understand why a bunch of gameplay Developers claim they care about the game and all of their champions, are straight up ignoring all of their champions that need work, deserve work, and have to have the work to be better champions. The underlying excuse is that there is no money to be made off of older champions anymore besides skins, so who cares anymore. Releasing 5-6 new champions is more profitable and gives them a excuse to not work on new champions. Riot is literally only doing 2 new VGU in 2020 and there will be a vote for 2 more probably in 2021. Riot is not entertaining small VGU, small visual updates, and GU on champions that need it.

If you are not happy with their work ethic and direction, stop giving them money. These Developers only care about the money anymore and they have no more integrity and care about the mains. If they did care, Riot would be sitting here and doing the least amount of work possible to make their older champions better. The concept that these Developers have to completely overhaul a older champion and change everything about their kit, is what gets them in trouble with recent VGU. The mini-VGU was a more successful concept than the overhaul they continue to do and get themselves into trouble with. Who cares anymore right? There will be close to 200 champions in the game and Riot only caters and cares about the same ones they spend massive amounts of time on every single year and new champions. Riot doesn't care about improving older champions kits and arts anymore through min-VGU and small GU. They don't listen anymore.

I'm actually pretty disappointed by this too, and the problem is GETTING WORSE with all the side games coming out that will showcase champions that are in a better state than they are in their original game of LoL. Lux and MF, for example, look amazing in Wild Rift, and are still saddled with lots of antiquated issues in the League. It's bad, and Riot needs to step back and bring all the existing stuff up to par instead of ignoring it.

If they want money, they need to hold votes constantly for skins or start giving us fanservice skins like maids and butlers.

I'm going to be honest I think riot is afraid of doing more since we're getting into champions that have much bigger players bases then Aatrox or urgot had so the hate will be MUCH larger.

But yeah we need more rework like there is way too many champions that need changes.

Champions like tryn and vlad aren't healthy and are very unfun to fight.

This is basically why I uninstalled LOL a long time ago and haven't played since. I'm pretty sure the balance is a clusterfuck right now and they only care about making new champions and making skins for popular champions. If there really are champions that Riot doesn't think is worth working on, like Skarner, then I say just delete the poor scorpion from the game and make room for another kawaii anime edgelord champion

I also think another factor is that Riot is wholly owned by Tencent, so they will concentrate on champions that will appeal to the chinese players, in order to rake in that sweet RMB

As I stated before I know they have different divisions for these things but there really should 2 new champions a year at this point until they catch up with all the ones that need vgu. They just keep adding to the chaos.

I think Riot said they're looking to avoid another Aatrox situation. They're getting to the point where vgus require heavy alterations so they're slowing down.

Probably they think that new champs bring more money.

It's just the same philosophy around not balancing the game for the game's sake, but just making some champs OP for some time (maybe when new skins come out), and then swapping them with other champs.

What about Talon? His gameplay got updated years ago but his visuals still remained the same ever since he came out. He is a champion I really want a visual update. Or at least expand his lore, I want him to be more than an Assassin's creed wannabe or just an assassin for hire. I am asking for too much? Others I want VU is Lulu but from the video I highly doubt It I'll see this actually happening. One can only dream...

pretty sure this is more than a "numbers buff that's going to going to be nerfed later". Of all the champions, I don't know why you put Wukong on there. Can you read, or nah?

100% agree, a few years ago I thought Riot plans to have some sort of consistency in the visual representation, character design and gameplay quality. Nowadays I feel like they like to do expensive skins instead of reworking models and buffs instead of reworking gameplay.

Anyone who sees Udyr/Lee standing next to Sett and thinks that's good enough probably doesn't care in the first place. Kits like Malphite, Jarvan, Olaf, Amumu, Wukong are similarly damaging to the game. It's neither fun to win against them nor does it feel like I learned something when I lose, these old champions make the game more a stat evaluation than an expression of skill.

Yeah I'm angry, I love this game, have played it for 9 years but I feel like it's not really evolving in the last years.

And it's true that Riot doesn't listen to complaints about "vgu's"
