Aqulis, the Aqua Phoenix

Aqulis shall be a dedicate support specializing in ways for hard peeling and protecting, as well as tank shreding, but only for allies since she cannot do anything else during these moments so she is very reliant with having a teammate by her side at all times to be most effective.

Brief Lore: "Aqulis was a part of once thriving city upon the sea where she will not only keep the city to live-able by inhabitants but she was also the protector of this beautiful city. Until one day a gang of pirates with very large fleets attacked both this ancient civilization and Aqulis causing Aqulis to be overwhelmed and befallen a deep slumber for hundreds of years and upon her awakening she sees that the city she once was a part of has vanished. No one knows whether or not this city still exists or if any creatures still in habit within it; but Aqulis senses and still believes that the city is still out there somewhere. And so she searches in hope to find her city to once again to be the protector and revive the city's beauty and cause it to thrive once more."

Basic Attack Range: 600 units

Bubble Bursting (Passive): Aqulis' basic attacks may intercept enemy projectile basic attacks to completely nullify both basic attacks mid flight.

Aqulis' basic attacks surround her target(s) with a bubble for the next 2.5 seconds, the next ally turret's or champion's basic attack against these bubbled units will burst the bubble to slow the struck unit down by 20/25/30/35%(+1% per 20AP) [@levels 1/6/11/16] for 1.25 seconds.

Sploosh! (Q): Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds; Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 Mana; Range: 1500 units Passive: Upon Aqulis or an ally with Veil of Water exiting Bubble Barrier they are granted with 35%(+1% per 20AP) movement speed for the next 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds and leaves behind a trail of water for the same duration which grants 15/20/25/30/35%(+1% per 33AP) movement speed to other ally units.

Active: Aqulis blasts the bubbles on units from Bubble Burst which does not slow units but instead deals 50/60/70/80/90(+20%AP) plus 4/5/6/7/8%(+1% per 50AP) of the target's maximum health as magic damage and stuns the struck units for 1 second. Struck units are stunned for 1.5 seconds instead if they were in Bubble Barrier.

Bubble Barrier (W): Cooldown: 24/22/20/18/16 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana; Range: 1000 units Aqulis creates a large bubble barrier at the target area with a radius of 200/250/300/350/400 units that causes all movement, allies and enemies, to be reduced by 50% inside the barrier and all enemy projectiles to move 50/55/60/65/70%(+1% per 100AP) slower that enters inside the barrier. Additionally dash, jump, and instant teleport spells are all silenced within this barrier. Aqulis moves 40/30/20/10/0% slower within this barrier. The Bubble Barrier lasts for 5 seconds.

Veil of Water (E): Cooldown: 16 seconds; Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 Mana; Range: 750 units Aqulis surrounds an ally champion or herself with a veil of water to grant 20/30/40/50/60(+1 per 20AP) armor and magic resist for the next 5 seconds while ignoring Bubble Barrier's movement speed restriction and mobility spell silence. If the Liquid Cloak target takes damage then they are healed for 30/50/70/90/110(+30%AP) health; the heal diminishes by 20% for every tick of damage taken.

Aquatic Prison (R): Cooldown: 140/110/80 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana; Range: 725 units Aqulis channels for up to 2 seconds to suppress her target in place for up to 2.25 seconds while channeling, while the target is suppressed it loses 50/60/70%(+1% per 50AP) of its bonus armor and magic resist. The channel may end early by casting Aquatic Prison again, the suppression duration is always 0.25 second longer than the channel duration.

Hope you like the champion concept and let me know what you think! Have a nice day! ~ Stacona

EDIT (1): Other: Liquid Cloak (E) renamed to Veil of Water (E)

Misty Winds: Cost lowered to 50/60/70/80/90 from 80/90/100/110/120 Mana Damage lowered to 50 plus 4/7/10/13/16% from 8/10/12/14/16% (flat damage has been added)

Veil of Water: Reworked; previously granted a short duration stealth, damage reduction while stealth to an ally champion only and Aqulis moved slightly faster towards the stealth champion. NOW: The spell is like Galio's shield slightly where it can grant a bunch of bonus armor and magic resist to either herself or an ally champion and the shielded champion that takes damage is healed which diminishes every time the target is healed (suppose to Galio's shield where he always receives the heal no matter who has his shield, so this is a more support version of Galio's shield)

EDIT (2): Bubble Bursting: Slow duration decreased to 1.25 from 1.5 seconds

Misty Winds: Speed buff increased to 80/115/150/185/220% from 60/90/120/150/180%; duration lowered to 1.25 from 1.5 seconds

Bubble Barrier: Enemy projectile's missile speed slow reduced to 50/55/60/65/70% from 75%

Veil of Water: Base armor and magic resist lowered to 20/30/40/50/60 from 30/40/50/60/70 Heal increased to 30/50/70/90/110 from 20/35/50/65/80 (heal does diminish remember for every time it heals)

EDIT (3): Other: Misty Winds removed and renamed to Sploosh!

Sploosh!: Now has a passive granting bonus movement speed and a movement speed trail for Aqulis and Veil of Water allies upon exiting Bubble Barrier. The active is now a self activation of her Bubble Burst to targets afflicted with a bubble around them to blast the bubbles to deal % max health and a brief stun, the stun duration goes up to any bubble units within Bubble Barrier at the time.

Very interesting ideas for abilities, but the ratios seem pretty hefty to me, and the combos would be absolutely over powered.

Your bonus % per XXAP scaling is really generous. I understand that you are intending this champion to be a support, so you may be assuming that people might not get high amounts of AP, but with these ratios they absolutely would. It's nothing for champions to get 400 to 600 AP in a game. Playing on the low side of this scale, that means that every proced bubble will cause 55% slow for 1.5 seconds. 2.5 seconds is plenty of time for an ADC to pop every bubble you throw out. Using the same assumption for your Q at max rank with 40% CDR you can deal 28% max health damage or grant 220% movement speed every 4.2 seconds.

I have to say that I kinda enjoy your bubble barrier idea, however, I see this working so strongly with every other ability that it would make landing every combo a breeze.

Liquid Cloak; .. Stealth and damage reduction are two very strong buffs, and again your percentages are too high. If the duration of Liquid Cloak would instantly end when the buffed champion takes damage, I could see this being okay.

Aquatic Prison: I actually see nothing wrong with this one on it's own. It's an ultimate, so it should be strong, and ironically you actually balanced this one by making it a channeled ability. This means she will have to be stationary for the duration and that any hard cc would end the channel.

I want to finish by saying that I genuinely don't wish for any of my comments to be taken too harshly. I really like trying to think of new champion ideas and it's good to see submissions like this. Keep thinking and maybe even make a few adjustments to this one.

I do want her to scale with Ability Power and she only has the one % damage nuke on her Q which is a single target skill shot--- but my balancing for ratios I base off of 500 Ability Power; which is very hard to achieve as support because of how little gold you get and Aqulis cannot be played in other roles since your basic attacks can be negated completely if they collide with another basic attack so no marksman, and only one single target damage spell that isn't even on a low cooldown so a mage isn't there either.

Q - only damage spell and is single target skill shot; damage is fine because of the cooldown and only damage spell --- considering the base movement speed at rank 5 is 180% for 1.5 seconds 1% per 10 AP is fine, Lulu's speed buff has the same ratio on a 3-5 seconds duration

W - quickly confirm one thing this spell is both a movement negating spell and is punishable since it slows allies and enemies as well as silences mobility spells only (so it is a sudo area silence since it only disables certain kinds of spells) which includes Flash will be disabled since it is an instant teleport; overall it is a weaker version of a normal area silence --- the unique aspect is actually the projectile missile speed slow allowing your allies an easier time to dodge incoming projectile spells even with a 50% slow and Flash disabled

E - Stealth always have a secondary effect; every stealth ability has a second effect whether it be movement speed, attack speed, mana regen, etc stealth gets a second effect because if the enemy can see them then the spell ends up being useless --- casting any spells or dealing damage removes stealth so this is for a quick 'save an ally and allow them to re-position' but I may decide to grant armor and mr instead of damage reduction kind of like Galio's shield; or even make the shield an even more support orientated version of Galio's shield so that the user with the shield gets a declining heal with a bunch of armor and mr instead of the heal always being on the user (makes sense for Galio since he is a tank; but adding a similar spell that already exists is not a bad idea)

R - I always wanted a support with a suppression ultimate (suppression is the strongest CC in the game which is why it has to be an ultimate); so this ultimate is useless when allow since you cannot use the bonus armor and mr since you are stunned yourself and unlike malzahar the channel does not deal damage

I like her ultimate a lot, it's a very good ultimate for a support and could almost guarantee a kill when used in conjunction with her W. Her Q seems very overpowered however, it is a lot like Lulu's whimsy, except a much more damaging ability. Since she already is very strong, there's absolutely no need for her to have such high damage output. If she built full ap, she could literally do 30% of a target's MAX health. Her w is a bed waiting to happen too. It also seems a but overpowered. Maybe just the mobility silence on enemies and scaling attack reduction would be enough to still be a very solid ability. Her E is a little odd with the heal. So the heal only procs if the target takes damage? Assuming you mean 100 health by tick, the heal is still pretty balances. However, the armor/magic resist buff is insane, and I understand how that compliments the heal, since you won't take much damage, but even without the healing, her e is a crazy ability. Reduce the base armor/magic resist and then it's pretty solid. R is good. I like her passive, but since there's basically no point in time in which the bubble won't be proced, the slow needs a lot of nerfing to not be crazy overpowered. Overall, vary good concept though :)

Passive - there is a double passive here where she can block an enemy projectile basic attack OR if the basic attack connects with her target then it requires teamwork to apply a decent slow --- but since she can block most ranged basic attacks this also means most ranged basic attacks can block her basic attacks as well so the bubble is never applied to even allow the chance to slow; so there is play around her passives

Q - single target skill shot nuke, damage should be fine, it is her only damage spell not to mention it is dodge-able - the more powerful effect is the darkness CC it provides (Graves' smokescreen applies darkness CC if you don't know what that is, but in an area) A large boost of movement for a short time, should be fine for re-positioning your back line or even helping them to chase down a target

W - the area is suppose to be like everyone is trying to run through water, which you move much slower trying to run through water unless you are a creature made for swimming (Aqulis) or obtain flippers to help you swim (her E on an ally); but whether you are an ally or enemy this is a no mobility zone to cause you to not only move slower but you cannot use things like Riftwalk, Lissandra claw, Irelia Q, or even Flash; but enemy missile projectile slow is for helping your teammates dodge skill shots even if they are slowed in the bubble barrier

E - i see you don't play Galio often, his shield is 30-90 armor and mr on a shorter cooldown and less mana; granted only heals himself which the heal has the same mechanic [i pretty much copied galio's shield but changed it to be more support orientated; i lowered the base defenses for the AP ratio scaling]

R - this was the main idea for the concept; creating a support with a suppression ultimate

I will look over my numbers again; overall Aqulis will get an AP item or two with support effects but will not be a dedicated full AP build since Aqulis is too heavily built around being a support champion across the board; her only nuke is useful since it is % damage to help the player know the support is suppose to be with your backline helping to kill the frontline as well as trying to peel, plus the darkness CC is the strongest thing here because the target you hit with it cannot see what he is doing at all so if you darkness a tank then he wont know that his own backline is getting owned and cannot go back to help peel OR cannot know where exactly their target went off to since they cannot see because of the darkness CC; I just wanted to point out that her only nuke is not just a nuke to help her marksman and mage kill the tank line but that there is a darkness CC attached to it that people seem to over look or something
