So, past lore retcon, I thought I might brew up my own ideas on champions that might be changed. So I thought, why not Veigar right? He is a great super villain who is really taken as a joke, but couldn't he have some more deep lore past his outwards insanity? So, I cooked up this. I didn't post it in Story, Art, and Sound since it says in the guidelines that you shouldn't post any of this type of stuff in that section of the Boards. Anyways, enjoy!

VEIGAR EXTENDED LORE Tiny Master of Evil, that is the name they call him by. Veigar, the one that goes by this name, is a diabolical little yordle from Bandle City that has big plans up his sleeves. Constantly made fun of for his size, he takes out his wrath onto any who dare cross his path of destruction. However, what does this little tiny yordle have against the world? What drove him over the edge? Veigar, a name most would laugh at, was once something else entirely.

Born into a poor family among the slums of Bandle City, Veigar, defying all odds, was a brilliant student in the local school and proved himself worthy of an invitation to the academy in Piltover. However, Veigar was a dreamer. He dreamt of magic and powers unheard of that he could use to help this world. Unlike most yordles, he wanted to venture out of Bandle City, away from his kind, and learn of magic practiced in other lands. He wanted to become the master of all magics, as he called it.

First traveling to Demacia, then Ionia, then the Freljord, and then to Piltover, he learned of the most powerful magics available. He spent years away from his kind, learning all he could. However, as he traveled from place to place, he saw the misery and pain each country suffered. Demacia's war against Noxus, Ionia's problem with the shadows the surrounded it, the Freljord's civil war, and Jinx's terrifying reign over Piltover. He grew more and more insane as his adventures lead him to each city. He eventually had to visit the academy in Piltover on his visit there just so he wouldn't go over the edge.

There he met Heimerdinger, who was quick to show him around and show him the benefits of science. However, with each show case, Veigar's knowledge over the arcane could see that this "science" Heimerdinger spoke of was tearing apart the stitches that held the world together. Killing off nature and it's magic to build such contraptions. Veigar left the academy enraged at this. The very fabric of magic lingering in this world was being consumed for the benefit of this "science", but they had no idea what impact it would have. Without magic, nothing could be stable or balanced.

Travelling to Ionia, Veigar went to the temple floating in the sky, where he committed his first act of villainy, stealing a sacred book that was said to tell the user how to master the dark corners of the arcane arts. Veigar studied this book endlessly so he could one day correct the wrongs that were plaguing this land. By visiting specific landmarks in Runeterra that were filled with magic, Veigar would use his magic to convert corrupted magics from man-made machinery and necromancy into his own form of arcane power. He slowly grew to become an extremely powerful sorcerer that got a name for himself. However, his name came with a title he did not at all like: The Grand, Tiny Magus. He was outraged at the disrespect this title brought him, becoming the laughing stock of Runeterra. He found a new goal for himself: earn himself and all yordles the respect and glory they deserved for their contributions to this world. However, as his pursuit for this new goal continued, his mind slowly untangled itself as it had in the past.

Years after leaving, he returned to Bandle City. As he walked through the gates, he was greeted with bows and clapping as he rode in on his newly acquired horse, albeit a pygmy horse. He stayed at a local inn where he told of his adventures to his friends, slowly regaining his sanity and calming down after the long road and journey he had been on. Word spreads fast however, and that one act of thievery Veigar had done would come to bite him back when he decided to go back to the slums of Bandle City and bring his family out of the dirt. What he found was not at all what he wanted to see and would be what turned Veigar into the evil being he is today.

The Sunset That Brought Darkness "...and then the human," Veigar said with a tone of digust, "...told me I was an insult to the arcane arts." Veigar slammed down the wooden mug onto the table in the inn. Eyes of curious yordle all stared at him, glimmering with anticipation on how this story would end. "I said to him, "Then prove me wrong, miserable excuse for a mage." He unleashed a barrage of fireballs upon me, flying to the left and right of me with accuracy I could only call childish and laughable. And then, BANG! It hit me. Not a fireball, of course, but an idea." The children who were with their parents were surprised at Veigar's outburst, but giggled afterwards. "I would simply show him the errors of his ways. With a shake of my staff, I trapped in a bubble of time, so he could show off his miserable magic to nothing but an image of me. The time bubble can only be broken once he hits my image, but I have yet to feel that it has been broken!" Veigar let out a laugh and most of the yordles who were around him did the same, especially the children.

"I must go my friends. It is great to be back in Bandle City." He stood up from his chair and went to the door of the inn, leaving a coin for the lovely girl at the bar. "Thank you for letting me stay, but I have to visit some fellow yordles I haven't seen or talked to for a very long time." He held his hand over where his heart should be, before removing his hand from his blue robe and opening the inn door. He had only taken two steps before was knocked to the ground by a sudden blast of air that swept through the entire city. He fell onto the cobblestone streets before the world around him went dark.

Veigar opened his eyes before standing up and looking around. In the distance he saw a large cloud of smoke rising up in the distance. He rushed over to that side of the town only to find it filled with purple flames that had overwhelmed the slums of Bandle City. Electric currents of magic flowed through the ground where it appeared dark magic had destroyed the ground around it. "You... why?" Veigar turned around to see a familiar hat that he had seen as he entered the city. "Teemo?" Veigar began to step back when he noticed the anger on the scout's face. It only took Veigar a matter of seconds to realize what was going on here. "You disgusting mage! How could you do this to your own kind!?" Tears formed in Veigar's eyes as he turned around to look at the purple flames that had overwhelmed the city. The magic that had destroyed the slums. It perfectly matched Veigar's magic. "I didn't do this..." Teemo's anger overwhelmed his senses. "Your family was in there! You killed them! You killed them all!"

Something in Veigar snapped. All of his memories with his family... his ma and pa. Dead? No, he didn't do this. Right? "Answer me you pathetic mage, why? Why did you do this to your own kind?" Veigar stood up and turned to Teemo. Tears that would have been wept were gone from the eyes of Veigar. Instead a slowly building laugh came to his throat. "You think I did this? You fool! You pathetic... little... runt!" With that, Veigar's mind slipped over the edge. Within a tenth of a second, he unleashed a blast of dark magic at Teemo, sending the scout flying into a house behind him. Teemo recovered quickly, he had taken worse. "Filthy insect!" A second blast was shot at Teemo, this time he was barely able to dodge the blast. "After all I have done to show the world the power of our kind!" Veigar threw a third blast, Teemo jumping over it before shooting a dart at Veigar. The dart bounced off what appeared to be cage of dark magic surrounding Veigar. "Fools! All fools! I would never... never!" Teemo shot a barrage of darts towards Veigar, all being destroyed by the cage.

"Miserable!" A fourth blast was sent out. "Pathetic!" A fifth blast. "Wretched!" A sixth. "Little runt!" Seventh. "I didn't do this! You miserable scouts! You have framed me! You all have! All I wanted was respect! Power! Glory! But you do this..." Veigar held his hand open and Teemo was lifted into the air. "To me!" Veigar began to pound the scout in the ground, lifting him up and down, over and over. Tears began to fill Veigar's eyes again, causing him to slowly come to halt before dropping Teemo from the air. Thud! Teemo was seemingly lifeless on the ground. "Ma... Pa!" Thoughts of anger became thoughts of sadness as tears overwhelmed Veigar before he knelt down and looked over at the unconscious body of the scout. "Veigar..." He turned around to see that the residents of Bandle City had gathered. "No... he did this!" The crowd backed off, their eyes reflecting their fear as Veigar said this. "How could you all betray me!" He got to his feet. "That's enough!" A blast from a cannon sent a cannonball at Veigar, shattering the cage of magic surrounding him and sending him flying into the purple flames of the now completely destroyed section of Bandle City. Tristana hopped down from the rooftop she was on before rushing to Teemo's side as he let out a wheeze to show he was not dead.

Veigar stood up and slowly looked around. He tried to stand up, but his hand was crushed under a stone pillar that had fallen on it. "No... No..." That was all he could say as he pressed his head back down against the ground. The pillar was suddenly flung to the side off his hand. He shot his eyes wide open and slowly got up and looked around, seeing if anyone else was around. He saw a figure in the smoke. A floating figure that was too tall to be yordle. It appeared to be human. Veigar walked slowly towards it, through the flames as they burned him and destroyed his robes. The figure disappeared right before he was close enough to see who it was. He held his breath before wheezing in pain. "No matter..." He wasted no time as he limped out of the fire and eventually found the wall of Bandle City. Mustering his remaining power, he blasted a hole in it and ventured out of the city, looking back at the city. "They did this to me... they did this to me... they did this to me... they did this to me!" A dark aura overwhelmed Veigar's being as his wounds were closed and his face covered in darkness. His glowing yellow eyes emit flames of fury as he began to laugh before, in a flash of darkness, he disappeared.

"If they think they can frame me and take away my power, my respect, my glory... they are mistaken. I'll show them. I'll fix their mistakes. I'll reset this miserable world. I'll do whatever it takes to correct what they have done! All of them! Everyone! The world! They will see! I'll show them how powerful I am! Time, I just need time. Or rather, the opposite. I need to reverse time! Yes! Reverse it! Bend the fabrics of space itself! Then everything will go back to how it was before they did this. Miserable... I hate them! Hate them! Hate them! Hate! Miserable!" He paused. "I'll save you Ma and Pa, even if it means destroying this excuse for a world. Their souls... all of them... will belong to Veigar. Me. The Tiny Master of Evil! Ha! They will see. All of them! I will fix all of this!" A vile laugh filled the night as the flames that ravaged Bandle City were put out. The flame they really needed to worry about, however, had only just sparked. The sun fell below the horizon as a new darkness formed in Runeterra.

VEIGAR SHORT LORE Veigar, the Tiny Master of Evil, is a dark, magic filled warlock that plans to fix all of the mistakes of this world. After his family was killed in an attack on Bandle City that Veigar was accused of committing, he swore that he would avenge his parent's deaths by killing all who he believes to have framed him of the act of destruction. With the power he will collect by harvesting his victims essence, he then plans to "reset" the world and correct all of the mistakes the world of Runeterra has made, including the murder of all those he has lost. Deep inside, he just wants to see them again and at least say hello one last time to.

But will it be worth the cost? The path of destruction and death that he leaves behind? It seems he has lost the ability to see what true glory and power is, for after all his dreams of becoming a powerful magus everyone adored and respected, all he has become is a dark warlock that is feared and seen as a miserable villain by all.
