LORE http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/a/a4/Piltover.png/revision/latest?cb=20140702013138 In the city of Piltover, chaos has begun to conquer the city. Jinx, an extremely dangerous criminal, runs about the streets with no capture in sight. The police of the city have begun to doubt that they will ever be able to catch the demon, excluding Caitlyn and Vi that is. However, the rest of the police force has begun to doubt the safety of their city. Turning to the great scientific minds of Piltover, they agreed to build a machine that would end Jinx's reign of tyranny forever. Work on the project began immediately, but an issue arose. Jinx just loved to blow up their work before it could be finished. This forced the minds to leave the city in hope that Jinx would not follow. Lucky for them, she did not. A month passed and the machine was nearing completion. Under the name H.D.S. or Hextech Defense System, the machine was an extremely deadly piece of machinery that could kill anything that entered it's sights at the blink of an eye as well as capture anything it saw. The first iteration of the machine was sent after Jinx and, to no one's surprise except the creators, it was destroyed and Jinx escaped. Research continued and still nothing was able to be built that could capture the criminal. Many of the greatest minds abandoned the project, but a few stuck around. As time went on, one of the researchers, named Tot, began to realize why the machine could not catch Jinx. In order to catch a human, one must think like a human. So, the project secretly went underground for several months before, finally, it happened. Tot and his crew, in the deep, plagued lands of the Kumungu Jungle, found something. They found a rune from the Rune Wars of long ago that was enchanted so that any matter that touched it would become sentient when the rune was fed mana. They took the rune and, after a few more months, found a way to implement it into the H.D.S. and make the robot sentient. They then created a machine that stole mana from the air around the robot and, before long, the machine was shown off to the police force. All went well until the police force heard of what was within the robot. The rune inside the robot caused many problems. Tot, being a yordle from Bandle City, had not realized in all the time that him and his team had been building the machine, that they had used a substance banned on all of Runeterra. Runes were a deadly weapon that could easily wipe out all life on the planet if left uncheck. The first Rune Wars were evidence enough of this and, after the Rune Wars ended, runes in general were banned. Some runes were lost and forgotten however. The robot was set to be destroyed immediately, these being orders directly from Caitlyn, Heimerdinger, Vi, and all of Runeterra. However, the sentient robot had begun to develop. It had learned of the world around it and how it functioned. It knew what the people around it wanted to happen to it. In a frightened fit, the robot escaped Piltover and entered Runeterra. Tot and his crew were sent to jail for use of runes and the hunt for the machine began. News spread throughout Runeterra that a machine powered by a rune was loose, and all who heard this were frightened. Any who had read or researched the Rune Wars knew what runes could do. Wounds that, instead of healing over time, corrupted the body. Magic that would cause someone to become enrage and want to kill even their closest friends. Mind control of the most deadly and terrifying kind. Runic magic was the most forbidden magic of all Runeterra and now, a machine was loose with it in it's system. Not only that, but said machine was also armed and fortified to take down or capture the hardest to catch criminal in all of Runeterra. It was possibly the deadliest combat machine that had ever existed in Runeterra. The rune inside of it alone was entirely possible of acts of destruction that even celestial beings would be surprised of. Runes were the ultimate creation of an extremely powerful, downright godlike mage from long ago that were made to kill gods. The rune inside R.H.D.S. could easily destroy entire mountains if tampered with incorrectly. However, who said the machine itself was evil? R.H.D.S., frightened by it's very creators actions, ran. It's own parents had betrayed it and now it had nothing. A sentient robot that had nothing but itself and nature. As it roamed Runeterra, it came across many humans and yordles that, unfortunately, had to be dealt with if it was to survive. Saddened by the actions they forced R.H.D.S. to perform, it ran to the one city that, ironically, it was only remotely welcomed in. A land of unchecked experimentation and use of hextech machinery that smelled like death. Zaun was this place. R.H.D.S. entered Zaun and disappeared off the face of Runeterra. Slowly rusting away in the alleys of Zaun, it knew no love. No love that it could hold close. That is, however, until someone with love for it found it. An inventor that was also seen as insane and dangerous, Viktor found the robot and saw it's potential. Knowing well that any attempt to take the rune inside of it would likely end in his complete and utter annihilation, Viktor instead taught the robot himself. Acting almost like a parent to the robot, he taught R.H.D.S., who Viktor called Runic for short, about the world. However, he taught it his version. He taught Runic the betrayal and cruelty of the world. He taught Runic the anger within himself and told him how all the "fleshbags" of Runeterra just could not embrace the future evolution. Runic, being just a child, embraced these lessons and, in time, became almost like a partner to Viktor. Helping Viktor in exchange for an easy access to mana in Viktor's lab, Runic became feared even in Zaun. As time went on, Runic was used by Viktor to ascend to the top of the food chain in Zaun and, eventually, the fate of Zaun will be decided by Runic on whether or not humans and other "fleshsacks" would be able to defy the glorious evolution into the machine.

While in Extermination, R.H.D.S. becomes a large, floating, iron ball that fires runic projectiles that travel instantly and are not projectiles. It also gains 40/70/100 armor and magic resist as well as 150/200/250 bonus attack range. During this time, R.H.D.S.'s basic attacks will cause it to fire 1/2/3 additional runic attack(s) at the closest enemies within a 125/200/275 radius around it's target. Each of these runic attacks count and act exactly like a basic attack, each triggering on-hit effects and on-attack effects on each target hit. This lasts for 7/8.5/10 seconds, the duration being extended by 2/2.5/3 seconds every time R.H.D.S. scores a kill or assist while in Extermination stance. R.H.D.S. ignores unit collision and impassable terrain while in this mode, allowing it to move over units and terrain. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 190/150/110 seconds

Hey guys, this was mainly an idea I did to try and explore a theme and see how the community reacted to it. Wanted to see if they considered an ok idea or bad idea with the idea of a multi-class character that could only be one at a time and had down sides and up sides for each stance. Their ultimate would, of course, remove such a restriction and make them the ultimate force of nature. Anyways, I want you guys' opinions on this one especially and want to know how this could be improved, even if that means reworking some abilities.

This is a great design. With Ryze's rework making him a rune mage, R.H.D.S can be a welcome addition lore-wise. I like how he uses a mechanic similar to Udyr, but has an actual ultimate. Speaking of which, his ultimate might make just a bit too powerful, with him gaining move speed, attack speed, range, regeneration, and defense. Maybe his ultimate could give him a item 3085 like effect for his attacks while it's active and a shield. Just an idea, but as I said; I love this design!

Defender seems counterproductive with the reduced damage for being ranged. Seems like a good flex/hybrid pick though.
