Lore:
A cursed night shall soon occur, The winds of Shurima stir; 'tis a warning for all to heed. The culling is upon us, indeed.
Hobb, the ancient scourge awakes. Stories are told of the children it takes. From the driest dunes to the dampest mires, Many have heard of its savage desires. It appears as a child to lure in others; be ever so careful, my sisters and brothers. It lingers in shadow, this agent of strife, It gathers our youth, it covets their life.
This tale I tell has spanned the ages, From word of mouth to withered pages, Many before have seen its wrath, But few ever live who've crossed its path. The legends speak of one starless night, When a small desert village encountered this plight.
As the markets grew quiet, the children embark, Their evening adventure leads into the dark. From out of the shadows, a young boy came out. Children were fooled by the words he would spout.
"I've scouted ahead, come follow me, I have something to show you. Soon, you'll see."
The children are curious; as they always have been. They followed, but would never heard from again.
They had been gone six hours or more. The villagers know this has happened before. The air had been filled with a sense of dread, It did not take long for the news to be spread.
"Hobb has returned!" The night guard proclaimed, "Let us stand strong, we cannot be tamed!"
The villagers gather, they rally a mob, perhaps they can challenge the wrath of this Hobb. . .
"We know you're out there!" A butcher exclaims, as the crowd marches onward with lances and flames.
"Reveal yourself!" Bellows a Teacher, "Emerge from the shadows, you fowl creature!"
From deep in the darkness, the strange boy appears, 'tis the ancient horror the whole land fears. An inhuman hand grips the back of his head; the crowd was then haunted by the words the boy said:
"I am Hobb," the child spoke, his deep fiendish voice as thick as smoke,
"Your youth came with me, as you might assume, I only grow stronger the more I consume. You've come to avenge them, if I am not mistaken, but I can no longer count the number I've taken. It matters not, how many are dead, . . . Well, as long as I am fed."
"Let us strike now!" The seamstress cried, there was no justice for her son that had died.
"This effort is useless," A shopkeeper wallowed. "We cannot return the children it swallowed."
"No, you cannot." Hobb snickered and smiled, it relished in the thought of this crowd it has riled.
Suddenly, the crowd began to part. A soldier emerges, a hero at heart. He brandished his pike, and charged at the beast, not knowing that he would be part of Hobb's feast.
"Ohhh," Hobb noted, "this pikeman is brave. Watch; I will make quick work of this knave."
Hobb unleashed spines that arise from below, one of them dealing a staggering blow. The hero was forcefully knocked off his feet, Hobb licked his lips.
"Aahhhhhhh. Fresh meat."
The soldier writhed and kicked and wailed, but before he knew it, his chest was impaled. The boy pointed towards him, and opened his fist, from a mouth oh his palm shot a shadowy mist. This billowing darkness enveloped the man's eyes, this torturous curse would spell his demise. Amidst the agony, the man screamed and flailed, a gruesome display for the village he'd failed. As the man stopped squirming, the boy moved in, Hobb knew it was time for his feast to begin.
"That's it," Hobb grinned, "nice and steady, this bit of meat is more than ready. A fine little snack for me to savor, Better eat fast before he looses his flavor."
Mouths converged from every angle, they bite, rip, chew, and mangle, 'til nothing is left but the blood-soaked ground, The crowd fell silent, no hope to be found.
"Heehehehe, delicious." Hobb cackled aloud. He then faced his mouths out towards the crowd.
The mob had then realized their fatal error, as they began to scream and flee in terror. Leaving this crowd in their anguish and mourning, The snickering Hobb gave one final warning:
"Flee, if you will, cower and Hide, It matters not the place you Abide. Be it shed, tower, tent or palace, no one is safe from the Mouth of Malice."

Abilities:

If Hobb kills or gets an assist on enemy champions or epic monsters, that target leaves behind a "life node" after their death that hovers in place over their death point. The node is a purple, egg-like sphere with a glowing, skin-like pattern on it. Hobb can attack this node (targeting it as if it were a monster). If Hobb attacks it, the node shatters. A massive mouth appears on Hobb's chest that absorbs the node's shards - restoring 10% of his health, and refunding and cooldown and mana cost of the ability. Nodes disappear if they are not used within a few seconds.
- Node duration: 8 seconds
Q: Gluttonous Wrath
Hobb lashes his arm forward with inhuman flexability and range - flailing it in forward a linear trajectory. Towards end of its path (or if it collides with a unit), his hand becomes an eel-like mouth that bites the target with a whip-like action, dealing magic damage - a percent of which returns to Hobb as health.
However, if this arm hits a wall or map structure instead of a target, it slithers off of Hobb's body, and plants itself within the wall's surface - gestating into a large, sinister mouth that faces outward. This activation takes 1.25 second(s) - after which it becomes invisible, and the trap is armed. If an enemy champion or monster steps within this mouth's linear line of sight, the mouth is revealed, and quickly lashes a tongue-like appendage outward in a straight path, and if it connects to a target, it pulls that target to the wall. This stuns the target for a very brief moment, and deals the same amount of magic damage (as the typical Q) upon contact, but no health is returned to Hobb. The mouth then disappears after it is used once.
*Hobb can have a maximum of 2 traps in use at once.
*Traps can be targeted and killed by enemies w) sweepers/vision/etc. (Health: 2 hits)
- Ability range: 600
- Trap (grapple) range: 600
- Stun (grapple): 0.5 second(s)
- Damage: 55/65/80/100/130 (+70% AP)
- Mana cost: 50/50/55/60/65
- Cooldown: 10/10/9/8/7
W: The Scattering
Hobb roars in a target direction - pushing units away from Hobb within a cone-shaped AoE. Champions will be pushed towards the center of the ability's range, and any non-epic neutral or enemy monsters will be pushed even further away - to the far edge of the ability's range (minions, smaller jungle creep, etc.). This effectively separates champions from other targets.
- AoE: 550 long, 500 wide (150 at its base) (Champions will be sent back to the 400 unit distance mark, while minions will be sent to the 550)
- Fear duration: 0.75 second(s)
- Mana cost: 70/70/75/75/80
- Cooldown: 13/13/12/11/10
E: Spine of Agony
Hobb selects a point near him, and then selects another targeted direction from that point. The first point indicates where a horrifying appendage will will erupt from the ground, and the second click will determine which direction it will strike towards. This arm-like appendage has a set of large incisors at its end - like a short row of teeth. Any target stricken by this toothy appendage takes a sizable chunk of magic damage.
- Maximum Range (of placement): 550
- Length/Range (of spine): 450
- Damage: 70/110/150/190/250 (+70% AP)
- Health gained: 20% of damage
- Mana cost: 75/75/80/85/90
- Cooldown: 10 at all ranks
R: Dusk Eternal
Hobb casts out a plume of darkness in a straight trajectory - passing through the air with a breathy wail (hitting a single champion). If an enemy champion is struck by it, they become haunted with a debuff that limits their sight range, and reduces the target's magic resist by 30%. Enemies stricken will have a wisp of black fire above their head to indicate the debuff.
While an enemy champion is effected, Hobb's Q and E abilities can be used with a 1 second cooldown (cannot be lowered by cooldown reduction). If Hobb successfully lands his Q or E abilities on the effected champion, the respective ability's mana cost is fully refunded upon impact.
Aesthetic notes: Victims are immersed in a torturous state of darkness, a darkness that is even more intense in the distant parts of the screen - meaning the corners if the screen are almost completely black. The player is also subjected to an ambient symphony of unsettling, hellish moans as background noise.
Throughout this ability's duration, the target is also taunted with a slew of Hobb's VO lines that follow and further torment the enemy (often saying unique lines to certain champions, etc.).
*If Hobb is killed before this ult duration is over, the debuff disappears, and the ability ends.
- Range: 700 units (linear)
- Duration: 6 seconds
- Sight limitation: 600 units
- MR reduction:
- Mana cost: 120/125/130
- Cooldown: 120/115/105

Their feet shall lead them astray.
The herd needs thinning.
When they see me, it is too late.
