[Champion Suggestion] [Concept] [Game Mechanics] Freyr - the sword-man
-
No matter how much goofy the character seems, give a chance lolololol I made the drawing in the paint with the mouse lolol my whole hand is destroyed.
-
Possible phrases: "Yes, my armor has pockets." "Wait, wait, wait! Are you arguing with me? I am a sword-man, all your arguments are invalid!" "When I get too dizzy I puke screws... I don't have to explain anything to you." "I'm not ungainly! You're a bad swordsman!" "I don't have to justify myself to you! I'm a sword!" "Swords don't have to pay for lodging, it's on the bible! Hehehe ..." When dying: "You ripped off my arms and legs... Let's call it a draw!"
- Skills:
Connected to an allied champion:
-
Passive - I'll cut them for you: Freyr connects to an allied champion and can only release him after x seconds. If the allied champion is being attacked while he is being connected to Freyr, he absorbs the attack for himself. When connected, the player can cut using the cursor to control the body-blade of Freyr. Note: Freyr can still be hit while connected to a champion. Passive - Ungainly: For each skill that Freyr uses, he will have difficulty returning to normal. The Ungainly passive of two different abilities will not coexist, using one skill cancels the debuff of the previous skill, but creates the debuff of the current skill.
-
Q - Watch Out!: Freyr takes a spinning cut around the connected ally, dealing damage and slowness to enemies nearby and healing the ally. Passive - Ungainly: When using this ability, Freyr's body-blade will transform in a curved sword and its cuts will only do damage by turning to the right. If he used Deflecting before this ability, it will push nearby enemies with a small shockwave. If he has used Yeet! previously, instead of a cut, it will cause perforations and grant shield to the connected ally.
-
W - Deflecting: Freyr uses his magical sword-body to take a hit and absorb the next enemy skill that hits him or reach the allied champion to which he is connected. By absorbing the ability, he may activate Yeet! again to cast a magical cut that deals damage when traversing enemies or until the absorbed energy dissipates. Passive - Ungainly: After using this ability, your blade will turn into magical energy and your cuts will become magic spells. If Freyr has previously used Watch Out!, he will reflect the ability back to the enemy with decreased damage. If Freyr had used Yeet! previously, instead of reflecting, it will lessen the damage of the enemy abilities you touch.
-
E - Yeet!: Freyr extends his sword-body, thrusting and pushing enemies. Passive - Ungainly: After using this ability, Freyr will continue with the extended length and its cuts will be blocked if they collide with structures and walls. If Freyr uses this ability after Deflecting, instead of pushing, he will cause bleeding to hit enemies. If Freyr uses this ability after Yeet! it will leave enemies struck fragile.
-
R - I Believe I can Fly: Freyr launches and spins in the air, dealing damage to enemies who receive the cut of his blade on the way to and from the return. Passive - Ungainly: In the return there is the risk of him to connect to a different allied champion. Ungainly effects of other abilities will be undone when using I Believe I can Fly!. Disconnected to an ally:
-
Passive - Ungainly: Using any Freyr skill runs the risk of being stuck on a wall or floor.
-
Q - Watch Out!: Freyr spins on its own axis, causing sluggishness to hit enemies.
-
W - Deflection: Freyr takes a hit with his sword body and lessens the damage of the first enemy skill to hit sim.
-
E - Yeet!: Freyr will jump in a straight line, giving a brief knockback in a small area around the first hit enemy.
-
R - I Believe I can Fly!: It will spin on its own axis, but if Freyr used I Believe I can Fly! in the middle of the path of Yeet!, it will spin instead of colliding. Comments: The R looks less useful than it actually is, it's actually essential, since this skill will become necessary to undo the Passive Ungainly for greater performance control. Ungainly may seem pretty useless in some skills, but in Yeet! it becomes very useful in the lane since Freyr usually does not have the same range of adc's, besides being used to give clear wave and poke enemies.
Final considerations: I had a lot of fun thinking about this champion concept. As silly as it sounds, I do not try to take him super seriously (as can be seen in the names of skills), he is a sword-man and your arguments are invalid! lolololol I tried to make him as fun as possible by making him a goofy character, after all, who never made a mess during the game? Even more playing with friends...
