Almia, the Creature from Below

Hi everyone! This is a character concept for a creature instead of a humanoid champion. This one is about a sea serpent creature. Anyways, let's get to it.

Name: Almia

Homeland: Independent, Ionia (area of the Vastaya).

Friends: None

Rivals: Things/People that aren't Vastaya.

Class: Mage

Lane: Jungle or MID


Powers

Passive: Concealed Waves

When Almia is inside the jungle's river, she is able to submerge herself beneath the water. This gives her increased MS and empowered effect with her next ability after leaving the water.

Additionally, Almia can create lakes with her abilities that can be used to give her "empowered" effects. She can submerge herself beneath these, hiding herself with invisibility. In order to get the empowered effect this way, Almia must touch the lake she created {i.e. submerge herself}). Almia has the power to move between lakes she created.

This ability has an 18 second cool down that decreased by 3 seconds every 6 levels.


Q: Tsunami

Range: 1175

Mana: 50/55/60/65/70

Almia strikes her wave beneath her, sending forth a tidal wave. Once this wave reaches it's full distance (can be adjusted), it crashes creating a lake. This ability carries away enemy minions and lower-ranked monsters. The ability slows champions by 40-70% depending on how long it took to the wave to hit them. The more time, the weaker the slow. The wave deals 80/110/140/170/200 (+80% AP) magical damage.

Empowered: Almia sends forth 3 tidal waves, creating 3 lakes.

Note: Lakes dry up after 5 seconds. Additionally, Almia can combo wombo her W+E on the same lake.

Cool down: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds

Note: The wave moves slow.


W: Underdrift

Range: 950 (to be activated)

Mana: 60/75/90/105/120

Almia's targeted lake closes, taking all minions and champions (both ally and enemy) to her. The closure deals 50/90/130/170/210 (+75% AP) magical damage. It deals no damage upon appearing at Almia.

Empowered: Almia snares her captured prey (if enemy) for 1.25 seconds.

Cool down: 15/13/11/9/7 seconds


E: Whirlpool

Range: 1000 (to be activated)

Mana: 50/65/80/95/110

Almia's targeted lake begins to swirl, dealing damage to those stuck in the waters. This deals 25/30/35/40/45 (20-30% AP depending on how much health they are missing) per second. The whirlpool lasts 3/3.5/4 seconds (raises by .5 every 2 levels).

Empowered: The waters churn harder and faster. They are able to drag enemies to the center.

Cool down: 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds


R: Serpent's Ire

Range: 3400 (max)

Almia targets an enemy champion. After a 1 second delay, she charges them, leaving behind a stream. Upon arriving at her prey, she drags them back through her stream. Dealing 50/70/80 (+60% AP) magical damage every 150 units of her stream.

Damage (rounded): 1100, 1540, 1760 magical damage for max stream. This is without the 60% AP boost.

Targeting System: Similar to that Nocturne's ult and possibly Kindred's passive. Kindred similarity: She gets a panel with her enemy's faces. She selects one (they are highlighted if within range, faded if they are dead or out of range). Nocturne's because of the charging.

Note: If Almia is cc'ed before she takes off, the ult is canned. If she is cc'ed after she arrives at her target (only with stuns, knockups, or snares), she will not be allowed to swim back with her prey. Additionally, she leaves lakes at both the end and start of the stream.

Cool down: 140/120/100 seconds


Strengths and Weaknesses:

Strengths: Almia can combine her W+E abilities to deal massive amounts of damage to her prey. Almia can easily pick off single targets, or whole groups at once. She is the perfect fight starter because the unwary prey could be dragged to her kicking and screaming.

Weaknesses: Timing is important. If she misses her timing, it could affect her ability to crush her enemies. Being too aggro has Almia can land her sticky situations where she picks up more enemies than she intended. It could even land in situations where she wanted to be the predator, but instead was made a free kill because of her ultimate. Enemies with spellshields are entirely immune to most of her abilities making enemies such as Morgana extremely OP against Almia.


Note: She doesn't have unique interactions because she doesn't speak. She is just your regular sea serpent. However, I do have artwork:

Hi, I wanted to leave some examples of what I am thinking for the different classes.

  1. A Valkyrie Fighter champion

  2. An Imp mage champion.

  3. A chimera hybrid of multiple classes (hold many aspects).

  4. Salamander tanky mage

  5. Mermaid / Merman characters of various classes

  6. Fairy / Pixie

  7. Vastaya character (cats)

  8. I am open to your suggestions. I may make a duo. xD
