It seems to me that one very clear, possible option exists for League to evolve in new, unexplored ways. And yet I have never seen it mentioned ANYWHERE.

What about Removing Champions? In-Story, and In-Lore it would make sense for Vayne, Evelynn, or Shaco to just KILL somebody, outside the arena.

I understand that this will likely be very unpopular with some people, but what about actually Killing Teemo ? Riot could rework him, and bring him back as one of the undead... or never. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind seeing Yorick go, or... list them for me?

after a champion was removed, they would be unavailable in the shop, but could still be used in custom games, and during special events, but not in Ranked.

If it was purely removal from lore then it might make sense but completely deleting a champion from league without bringing them back in another form (Reworks/Relaunches) would just never work. It's possible but the backlash from the community would be insane, even if it was a matter of removing Teemo.
