Rather than giving a lengthy explanation on the history of vision-management, I'll skip ahead to proposals.

Second Trinket

Build Path: > item 1028 + 500 gold = item 2049 (Second Trinket)

The effects of this item are fairly simple:

  1. plus 150 hp
  2. 5% reduction in Summoner Spell Cooldowns.
  3. four diverging upgrades, each costing ZERO gold. each upgrade mimics one of the 4 currently available Upgraded Trinkets: item 3364 Scans area but does not grant persistent truesight. item 3362 places Vision Ward item 3363 grants sight of targeted area item 3361 2 amo limit. places stealth ward. maximum wards places increases by one.

Selection of your second Trinket is not influenced by your first trinket. You may choose 2 copies of the same trinket if desired.


> Another idea I have had, which may be less viable, is to alter the Summoner Spell {{summoner:2}} to act as a trinket with 300% range, and 100% AOE. It would require, at level one, that the player choose which of the 4 available options would be manifested. The Stealth Ward option would grant a Max ward limit of 5.

How about instead of that, just change it so that it holds less wards, but recharges every often. And then also give different SS options such as mana, AP, or so on. Even if they were as gold inefficient as the HP is, it'd still be better than the HP to some supports (tanks don't mind but if I get caught out as Zyra, Soraka, or Sona, 150 HP is not going to do much good.) The issue a lot of supports are having isn't the lack of vision, it's that Yellow Trinket is cheaper and just as good (if not better)
