Billcurme returns with another champ idea. This time, I'm going with my top lane champ idea: Kalisin. Been working on the idea of a melee 'combo' champ. As always, tell me what you think, and I hope you enjoy the champ idea!

Kalisin, The Blizzard's Edge

Role: Fighter

Statistics: Health: 500 (+60/level) Hp Regen: 5.25 (+0.55/level) Ad: 59 (+4/level) As: 0.7 (+3.1%/level) Armor: 20 (+3.15/level) Mr: 32.1 (+1.25/level) Ms: 345 Range: 175

Abilities: Gathering Storm (innate): As Kalasin moves and attacks, he builds up Storm, up to 100. Storm is used as his resource for his abilities. Storm builds more quickly the faster he moves. (5 Storm per auto-attack.)

In addition, Kalasin takes reduced damage based on the amount of Storm he has built up. Kalasin takes 1/2/3/4% less damage per 20 Storm he has built up.

This ability levels up at levels 6, 11, and 16.

Snow Hammer (q): Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 Storm Cost: 30 Kalisin encases the end of his halberd in snow, causing the next basic attack to deal an additional 110/115/120/125/130% bonus physical damage. If Kalisin has ranks in Hypothermia, this ability will afflict the target with Chill regardless of his current attack count.

If the last basic attack was Wind Shear, Kalisin swings the hammer with extra force, causing the target to be knocked back. If this would cause the target to strike enemy terrain, they will stop at the terrain and take an additional 15% ad physical damage and be slowed by 50% for 1 second.

If the last basic attack was Ice Breaker, Kalisin swings the hammer upwards, causing the target to be knocked up for 1 second.

Wind Shear (w): Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Storm Cost: 25 Kalisin surrounds his halberd with razor-sharp winds, causing the next basic attack to add a cleave, dealing 50 (+25/35/45/55/65% bonus ad) additional physical damage in a small cone in front of him. (Cone Size: 125 units long, 70 degree)

If the last basic attack was Snow Hammer, Kalisin hooks enemies in front of him with the blade of his halberd, dealing 50/60/70/80/90% physical damage and dragging them towards him.(Cone Size: 200 long, 50 degree)

If the last basic attack was Ice Breaker, Kalisin impales the target with the spike of his halberd, stunning them for 1 second and dealing 100/105/110/115/120% attack damage and 70% (+25/35/45/55/65% bonus ad) attack damage to enemies behind the target in a cone. (Cone Size: 250 long, 40 degree)

Ice Breaker (e): Cooldown: 15/14.5/14/13.5/13 Storm Cost: 20 Kalisin shortens his grip on his halberd and prepares to lunge, causing his next basic attack to gain 300 attack range and deal an additional 20/40/60/80/100 (+70% bonus ad) physical damage.

If the last basic attack was Snow Hammer, Kalisin charges with the point of his halberd, dashing to his target and dealing (85% ad) physical damage to all enemy units between him and his target.

If the last basic attack was Wind Shear, Kalisin lands with an explosion of wind, dealing 30/45/60/75/90 (+65% bonus ad) physical damage in an area around his target and knocking back enemy minions. (325 radius)

Hypothermia (r): Cooldown: 300 Storm Cost: 50 Range: 500 Kalisin's halberd becomes icy cold, causing every 3rd basic attack to deal 25/35/45 (20% ad) (+80% ap) bonus magic damage and apply Chill, reducing movement speed by 10/15/20% for 3 seconds. This slow can stack up to 3 times. If Kalisin afflicts an enemy champion with Chill, his basic abilities cooldown’s are reduced by 1 second.

Active: Kalisin calls down the wrath of the storm on target enemy champion effected by Chill, dealing 20/25/30% of the targets maximum health as true damage.

Every time an enemy unit affected by Chill dies near Kalisin, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 5 seconds (10 seconds for enemy champions.)

Lore: Kalasin was raised to fight. In the frigid, eternal winter of the Frejlord, Kalasin’s tribe fought every day for survival. Throwing himself fully into the warrior’s life, Kalasin quickly became one of the greatest warriors of his tribe. One day, when a lone warrior stumbled across their war party, demanding to fight their strongest warrior, Kalasin proudly stepped forth. In a show of brutal strength, he was defeated. The man, a clan-less barbarian by the name of Tryndamere, spared his life that day, and instructed him to use the pain and humiliation of his defeat to grow strong. Inspired by this mysterious warrior, Kalasin swore to himself two things: he would grow stronger, and he would follow Tryndamere to glorious conquest. Leaving his clan and striking out into the frozen wastelands with nothing but his halberd and two days of food, Kalasin charged headlong into any danger he found. Using his anger as fuel for survival, he found that the very elements of the Freljord bent to his will. After years alone mastering this new weapon, Kalasin finally felt ready to join Tryndamere in a glorious conquest of the Freljord. However, when Kalasin finally tracked down his idol, he was disgusted by what he found. Tryndamere had married the leader of the Avarosan, and was trying to unite the Freljord in peace. Claiming that Tryndamere had forgotten what it meant to be a true barbarian, Kalasin swore to tear down his illusion of peace, spreading the might of the Freljord across the world in a blizzard of ice and steel.

Quotes:

Selection: I am ice and fury.

Starting the match: Let the slaughter begin. I’ll show you angry… I am the storm. For the Freljord

Starting in Howling Abyss: Nothing quite like home. Seems like a warm day.

Attacking: Cleave in two! Strike! Cut and sever. I’ll show you a slaughter. This is how a barbarian fights. Blood on the snow. Ha! Hya! Rah! I’ll show you angry! (Snarling noises) Grrah! Bleed dry. I’ll cut you. You’re outmatched.

Movement: Follow my tracks. I dare you. A trail of bodies. Glory ahead, death behind. Stay warm, keep moving. Faster than the cold. On to the slaughter Making tracks. Vanish in the snow There is a storm ahead. Keep moving. The air is cold. Stinging winds. I’m itching for a fight. It’s been too long since I stabbed someone.

Joke: I don’t have anger problems. I get angry, I kill you. No problem. Some say I’m too angry. They stop complaining when I MURDER THEIR FACE OFF!!!

Joke near an enemy Ashe Ashe: Okay, starting to see why Tryndamere settled down.

Taunt: Your bloody corpse will feed the crows! I’ll hack you to frozen pieces! I’ll shred you apart and toss salt in the wounds! You're meat waiting to be carved!

Taunt near an enemy Braum Braum You protect those that sully are land, Braum. The weak have no place amoung us, Braum.

Taunt near an enemy Lissandra Lissandra: Your time has ended, Ice Witch. You have no place in my land.

Taunt near an enemy Olaf Olaf: Come forth, Olaf. I will grant you the death you desire. Your goal is worthy, Olaf. You deserve the greatest of deaths. I admire you, brother. Come and earn your respite.

Taunt near an enemy Sejuani Sejauni: Right idea, boar rider. But you will never lead the Freljord. I admire your intensity. Too bad it pales next to mine. You’d be a decent queen. But I will rule.

Taunt near an enemy Tryndamere Tryndamere: Avarosian grain has made you fat, Tryndamere. You were once great. Now you are weak. I admired you once. I will never make that mistake again. You could have ruled. Now you simply warm the throne for me. You have forgotten the pain that made you strong. Allow me to remind you. Losing your tribe was good for you once, Tryndamere. How about we try that again? You are a barbarian no longer.

When a nearby Tryndamere Tryndamere uses Undying Rage: I’ll show you angry, Tryndamere! Your anger is nothing to mine! Primal roar

Killing an enemy Olaf Olaf: Rest well, brother. As you deserved.

Killing an enemy Tryndamere Tryndamere: This was fate. Weak. Pathetic.

Works Well With: Nami Nami: Kalisin is all about sticking to his opponents and making them have a bad day. Who better to help with that then League's fishy friend, Nami? Nami tosses bubbles and waves, disrupting fights and speeding up the Blizzard's Edge while her Tidecaller's Blessing helps lay on the damage and Surging Tides helps Kalisin close in on his enemies.

Ivern Ivern: One problem our dancing dervish Kalisin can run into is kitting. Pesky ranged champions poking him down without getting close enough for him to land an Ice Breaker on their face. That's where League's nicest jungler comes in. A root and free dash here, and a well timed seed there, and suddenly our happy little ball of anger turns into an unstoppable killing machine.

Taric Taric: Kalisin only really has one direction: forward. This can land him in some pretty sticky situations if he didn't save flash. Bring in The Shield of Valoran with heals, invincibility, and cc. Suddenly Kalisin's foolish dive is a nice clean couple of kills thanks to everyone's favourite fabulous support.

Struggles Against: Shen Shen: Kalisin excels at 1v1, smashing up and cc-ing his opponents to death. Unfortunately for him when The Eye of Twilight is around, every fight is potentially a 1v2. Add in a taunt to throw off Kalisin's beat down, and your gonna have a bad time. But most devastating of all is our ninja tank's Spirit's Refuge, protecting his allies from Kalisin's only source of damage--his basic attacks--essentially shutting him down.

Teemo Teemo: As scary and angry as Kalisin is, even he has to bow to the eldritch abomination of a hamster that is Teemo. With blinds to shut down his damage, speed boosts to escape his wrath, and a field a doom-shrooms to tick away at his health, Teemo can effectively destroy a helpless Kalisin without him being able to do anything to stop him.

Vayne Vayne: Kalisin likes to stay next to his opponents, wailing away at them with his halberd. Unfortunately, he can't do much to a tumbling, stealthing carry like Vayne. Dodging around his strikes, knocking away and pinning him to a wall, and constantly chipping away at him with true damage means any Kalisin fighting a good Vayme transforms from a deadly death-dealer to one sad panda.

And that's that! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't be afraid to voice them. I like to sign on a couple of times a day, and will do my best to respond as soon as possible.
