[Champion Concept] Rin the Yordle
Hello! Obviously, I didn't create Rin the Yordle. For those of you who don't know, RinTheYordle is one of the most talented artists I've ever seen, and you should all go check out her stuff. A while back, she gave me permission to create a champion kit for Rin (not official or anything) and its the next one in my series of champion concepts submitted to Riot as part of an ill-fated game design application back in April 2016. Some of the lore concepts or references to in-game mechanics may be out of date now, but I'd still welcome any feedback (also about the post itself, somewhat of a forum noob). My notes are in brackets, question marks denote sections I thought would need balancing. I'll post the next 2 or 3 champion concepts tomorrow.
Abilities: Tough Skin (Passive) - The next 2 basic attacks dealt to Rin are reduced by 50%. Tough Skin is refreshed if Rin has not taken damage in the last 10 seconds. [includes minion and monster attacks, does not affect on hit effects] Rin-cendiary Devices - Rin attaches increasingly more volatile explosive charges to the next 4 tools she throws, dealing damage based on how close she is to her target for a maximum of [+AP] bonus damage. Her fourth amplified attack knocks both Rin and her target away from each other. [Small knockback, similar to Zigg’s satchel charge, 4s? cd, buff lasts 10?s, can be cancelled by reactivation] Overcharged Generator - Rin drops an electrostatic generator, stunning and dealing [+AP] bonus damage to the nearest enemy champion after a short [1s?] delay. This ability can jump to [0/1/2/3/4] nearby champions. [The damage/AP ratios on this should be good, similar to Ryze’s rune prison in damage output, 24s? cd] Floating Observation/Reconnaissance Kits: Stealthed [AKA F.O.R.K.S.] - Rin jury-rigs a cloaking device and remote flying attachments to one of her forks, granting vision along its path. If F.O.R.K.S. encounters an enemy champion, they take [+AP] damage over time, and are revealed. [Small damage, similar to nidalee traps, 12s? duration on dot, 50s? cd on ability, similar to ashe’s hawkshot but the enemy team can’t see it unless they have oracle’s/vision] Glider Extraordinaire (Ultimate) - Rin activates her glider, gaining bonus Ability Power[significant], Health, Movement Speed[significant], and dealing [+AP] damage to random nearby enemies. After a while, Rin’s Glider overheats, removing the bonus effects and slowing Rin by 50% for a short time. [24s? duration, 2min? cd]
Lore: [Rin the Yordle has an extensive existing lore in place. As a champion, she would incorporate this lore with provisions for the final iterations of her kit.]
[Notes: Rin’s auto attacks are random tools she pulls from her magic bag or tool belt. Her auto attacks are ranged]
