[Champion Concept] Jora, The Mask of Vengeance

Hello! The recent unveiling of Neeko reminded me of a champion concept I made a while back. I noticed some similarities, which made me think perhaps this, and my other ideas, may be well received. This was part of a series of champion concepts I came up between 2012 and 2016, and submitted to Riot as part of an ill-fated game design application back in April 2016. Some of the lore concepts or references to in-game mechanics may be out of date now, but I'd still welcome any feedback. My notes are in brackets, question marks denote sections I thought would need balancing. I'll try to post the rest tomorrow.

Abilities: ● Soliloquy (Passive) - While disguised, Jora gains bonus movement speed. ● Wardrobe - Jora intensely studies a teammate over a brief time, learning to mimic their look and actions as well as adopting their appearance. Using any of Jora’s abilities or attacking an enemy champion removes the disguise. [Range, duration similar to Morgana’s ult, ability is targeted on a champion, no CD]. When Jora removes his disguise, Jora gains bonus attack speed. [For 6? seconds] ● Suspense - Jora passively gains [15/20/25/30/35?] attack damage. Whenever Jora kills a target, he permanently retains part of their essence, returning health. [Kills restore health equal to a % of the target’s maximum health, balance around sustaining in top lane when building as a bruiser] ● Drama - Jora’s next auto attack deals [+AD] bonus damage and stuns the target [10-20 second cd range?] ● Grand Finale (Ultimate) - Jora blinks to an enemy champion, dealing [+AD] bonus damage. [1 min cd range?]

Lore: Jora was part of a family of actors, famed throughout Valoran for their great skill in the dramatic arts and mimicry. One day while Jora was out, Shaco sealed his family inside the theater and set it alight. No one knows if Shaco was hired, or simply acting on a whim, and the Demon Jester didn’t stay around long enough to answer questions. Jora was driven mad with revenge, and vowed to avenge his family. He uses his talents for disguise and performance to discreetly seek out Shaco wherever the clown may run.

[Notes: Wardrobe makes Jora look identical to the champion he uses it on, for the enemy team. He could be a different color (a la Shaco clone) or remain himself with a buff for his own team. He would adopt the auto attack animation of whomever he copies, giving him potential ranged auto attacks (without a disguise he is melee). Selecting him while disguised would show the items of his target, however, pressing tab would light up his champion’s line, and update his items appropriately.]
