Nazrath , The Shadow Demon (Champion Concept)
Lore Long ago, a creature roamed the lands of Ionia while controlling the minds of the innocent to slay one another, all of his doing is to fuel his desire to live. This demon was born from the hate and sorrow left behind by war. It corrupts those who are full of happiness as it sees them as a great source of life. However, whilst terrorizing a village, a man with great wisdom captured this demon and sealed it off into a box along with other shadowy figures. Years later, a student of the man, who sought power out of jealousy of his rivalry, opened the sealed box briefly to take a peek only to be found out by the master and banished from the school. The demon used this quick moment to seal itself into the mind of the student. Nazrath, is what it calls itself, was then weakened after being stuck in the box for so long. It corrupted the student named Zed, causing him to think of only revenge until the day Zed invaded the school and received the box. Nazrath formed itself into existence and feasted on the spirits inside the box, slowly growing in Zed's shadow.
Role : Support
Abilities Passive : Dark Ritual Whenever an allied champion kills an enemy champion, they get a stack of Dark Ritual, up to a maximum of 10. Each stack reduces their total max health by 1% but for every 1 health sacrificed, they gain 0.07(+0.01 per 125 ability power) attack damage or 0.10(+0.01 per 100 ability power) ability power, adaptively. A stack is lost upon death and Nazrath does not benefit from his own passive.
Q : Shadow Veil Places a buff on an ally champion that lasts 5 seconds. Nazrath's other two basic spells can only be casted while a veil is active. If the veil expires, nearby enemies will have reduced vision and be silenced for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds. Only one veil may be active at a time and Nazrath cannot cast this on himself.
W : Shadow Leech Fires a projectile from the veiled ally and stops at the first champion hit. Has a cooldown of 1 second, no casting time and isn't affected by cooldown reduction. Allied champion : Transfers the veil to the struck ally and refreshes its duration. It will not transfer the veil to Nazrath but will refresh its duration. Enemy champion : Deals 10/15/20/25/30(+7% ability power) magic damage, heals the ally for 100% of the damage dealt and refreshes the veil duration.
E : Shadow Remnant Places a shadow remnant in a 500/550/600/650/700(+40% ability power) aoe around the target. If reactivated, the ally switches places with the remnant. Remnant lasts until the veil expires or when the veiled ally leaves the aoe.
R : Dark Corruption Marks the enemy champion for 3 seconds. When it expires, the champion will begin attacking its allies for 3 seconds and gain 10%/20%/30%(+1% per 30 ability power) movement speed and attack speed. The affected champion will prioritize champions and Nazrath receives the kill credit of the enemy.
Gameplay Nazrath is a very difficult support that requires maximum teamwork. Unlike other supports, Nazrath can be very vulnerable on his own but becomes a force to be reckoned with if his team plays around his kit extremely well. His pay style rewards those who can plan ahead and command his allies to suit his unique play style.
Early Game He and his adc are very weak together in the early game but if he can constantly hit his shadow leech on enemies or himself, their lane sustain is impeccable. Proper remnant usage can often save his ally or even net them both an easy kill.
Mid Game Nazrath needs to avoid being alone at all cost, his weakness is even more noticeable during the mid game as the enemies have more abilities and items. An average player will stick with the adc, but a good one will often roam to provide other lanes with poke, sustain and mobility.
Late Game In teamfights, it all comes down to keeping yourself alive while being able to constantly keep your veil active. Moving the veil around will reward you more. Sometimes, it's better to keep the veil on one ally and keep healing them rather than moving it around to deal damage. A common initiate combo would be Q an initiator-E to the enemy back line-E again. His commander play style is very rewarding if you can pull it off.
Inspirations for this concept Kel'thuzad from Heroes of the Storm Why is Thresh the only tier 3 difficulty support? The idea of a reverse taunt Swain's rework concept (Riot said they wanted a commander at the backline) Zed's cool lore
P.S : If any rioters are going to make this champion a reality, please make Nazrath SUPER EDGY like Kayn and Zed since they are all the same, in a way.
