Make a Lovecraftian style blood-mage.

The #1 thing that disappoints me about Vlad is all of the missed potential with the concept of 'blood magic.' I feel there's still room for another character that utilizes blood magic without overlapping with Vlad at all.

Vlad's style is more about juggling life-force.

I'm referring to the rites, rituals, oaths, and invocation kind of blood magic. If not that, then the power-hungry tragic fool with the blood-for-blood type.

You could even give him and Vlad unique interactions like Rengar/Kha'Zix.

OK, before riot even CONSIDERS making another blood mage champ they better get Vlad's shit together because his update is the biggest fucking nerf i have ever seen done to a champ. They just removed both his wave clear and actual sustain, all the health you get from your Q's go right into your next E and using it after a few Q's your still nor gaining health so your not sustaining

Vlad is the literal blood-mage. Aatrox, Mundo, and Mordekaiser all use their HP to fuel their abilities. Illaoi is the Lovecraftian Priestess.

Are you familiar with actual forms of blood magic? Vlad just controls the ebb and flow of blood. He's not using 'blood magic.'

An arbitrary naming for magic I use to control candy?

Blood magic implies that blood is the catalyst or medium. Not that its the controlled substance.

Basically, blood is considered powerful, and you can use that as a bargaining tool/catalyst with blood magic. Vlad, for the most part, just manipulates it.

Its better now, but I can't help but feel like both interpretations are right.

Elemental Mages in hardly any Fantasy RPG use their element as a catalyst or medium. A fire mage throws fireballs for example and doesn't chant sorceries on a bonfire to summon demons or whatever.

So in that sense Vladimir is a blood mage, as in a mage that manipulates and controls blood. Blood magic as you seem to interpret it seems to lean more along the lines of summoning/curse magic with blood as a medium, which isn't wrong, but it's definetly a different interpretation.

TL;DR: Candy Magic can either mean: Magic that manipulates and controls Candy. Magic that uses Candy as a catalyst to cast spells.
