Can Elderwood Bard's Ult Get His Blue Zhonyas Back?

I really don't understand why they changed it back to gold, that was one of the things that motivated me to buy Elderwood Bard in the first place. The blue symbol before the ult doesn't make any sense if the zhonyas is gold.
