Yes, Bengi saved SKT, but only because Faker was able to synergize with him better.

Whats the only thing he did besides pushing farm lane as vic and be a supportive mid as ori only time he came in handly was for ult or when he just used vic field for stuns until he played Ryze and pooped on them. Again nothing but sit and utl. But hey I really cant say much cause the Faker fans that like SKT only cause of faker will always then he plays Mid,jungle,adc,support, and top all at the saaaaame. The team is nothing without the other players and I dont want to BM but I'm sure they will do just as well if Faker retires.[slayer-jinx-catface]

Outside of worlds he was not playing at the level a multiple-time champion should play at.

I am not saying he is a bad player because he clearly is not. But he was not living up to expectations / meeting standards and that is why Blank was brought on.

The SKT junglers are more passive warding bots who let their team mates (who are incredible at laning) play more aggresive.

As for their performance in team fights and all of that I can't say I've paid much attention to that so if that's why you think he's underperforming then that's fair I won't argue.

But really SKT junglers don't put much pressure because that's just how their play style works, they are usually there when things go wrong though, don't blame that on Bengi it's how their team plays.

I'm no coach, but you don't bring in a potential replacement unless you think that player is on a decline.

Look at when they brought in Easyhoon; Faker himself has been quoted saying that he felt to be declining that year. Does that make them bad players? No. Does it mean they were not playing at the level one would expect of them? Absolutely.

I'm not sure Blank is actually an replacement though. I might be completely off here but I believe they bring in Blank to play by a different play style because simply playing around your lanes alone doesn't always work.

Especially during LCK before the tower first blood update with lane swaps, Lane swaps were a huge deal for SKT because it only left them with mid lane as a potential winning lane and it definitely hit their performance during LCK. I love ROX but I honestly believe SKT would've been first seed if it wasn't for lane swaps.

And this is when they brought in Blank, he barely even played during worlds tbh and if I remember correctly they lost majority of their games with him, even though he was doing a pretty good job during LCK.

And guess what, Bengi couldn't keep up with the meta, so they brought on somebody who could.

Most teams don't have a new jungler for lane swap metas, so the fact that SKT needed one shows something.

Why do you think they started rotating Blank? It is because they were thinking of replacing Bengi. Just like when TSM brought on Keith, to seriously weigh the possibility of ditching Wildturtle / motivate him with the threat of replacement.

pretty sure it was game 2 right after orianas (faker) ult cought the enemy midlaner ang jgl, olaf (bengi) followed up on ine of the kills

I really hope something happens to SKT, Faker is too smug and takes way too much credit, League itself is based on teamwork and cooperation. The way faker speaks and acts, he makes it so his team feels like shit.

Faker had 1 good game out of 5 at worlds. Bangi and the "Team" won the games.

his team mates get a ton of fame in LCK, I agree that worlds caster almost act like it's just him but SKT is a team full of great players and they all know it, just because Faker acts like he's the best in interviews doesn't mean he's like that towards his own team mates. I'm sure SKT members get along just fine or else they wouldn't be able to perform like this, just take SoloQ as an example :) People who don't get along generally underperform.

And there's a difference between taking credit and being given credit.
