New Magic Penetration and Magic Resist Items + Haunting Guise Rework- Increasing The Choices

Currently, Magic Resist and Magic Penetration is surprisingly limited in what you can buy. For Magic Resist, you essentially have Spirit Visage, Banshee's Veil, and Locket for Pure Tank builds and Maw and Abyssal for less Tank builds. Banner is also an option, but isn't often picked up with Locket. Magic Penetration is even more limited, being only Liandry's, Void Staff, Sorcerer's Shoes, Abyssal (which cannot be picked up on everyone), and Wit's End if you consider that Magic Penetration. I'm here to suggest some changes to the game to broaden the spectrum of Magic Resist and Magic Penetration.

MAGIC PENETRATION

item 3136 Haunting Guise item 1052 + 415 Gold = 850 Gold +30 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive- Eyes of Pain: +15 Magic Penetration The current Haunting Guise has Health in it for some reason despite it being the only non-boot option for Magic Pen. Being comparable to a Serrated Dirk, it should really just be pure AP and magic penetration so it's buyers are getting it just for what they should be purchasing it for without any additional stats to bump up the price.

item 3151 Liandry's Torment item 3136 + item 1026 + item 3067 + 800 Gold = 3300 Gold +300 Health +80 Ability Power +10% Cool Down Reduction UNIQUE Passive- Eyes of Pain: +15 Magic Penetration UNIQUE Passive: Dealing spell damage applies a damage--over-time effect that deals bonus magic damage equal to 2% of the target's current health per second for 3 seconds. This bonus damage is doubled against movement-impaired units and capped at 100 damage per second vs. monsters. This change is to keep Liandry's Torment relatively the same since it itself isn't a problem, Haunting Guise having health is mainly the issue. I made it build from Kindlegem since Liandry's Torment buyers often struggle with getting CDR since they often buy a Rylai's to complement their Liandry's passive.

item 3185 Lightbringer REWORKED for Summoner's Rift item 3136 + item 3101 + item 1043 + 350 Gold = 3350 Gold +45 Ability power +60% Attack Speed +10% Cool Down Reduction UNIQUE Passive- Light of Pain: +15 Magic Penetration UNIQUE Passive: +25 on-hit magic damage. 20% of all on-hit magic damage that does not apply spell effects is converted to true damage before reductions. I like the idea of bringing back old items for nostalgia when a new role is needed in the game. This is a new on-hit Magic Penetration item so that champions like Teemo, Kog'Maw, Akali, and Varus can gain benefits from the new Magic Penetration system. This is the on-hit magic damage Penetration item, while Liandry's Torment is the Battle Mage Magic Penetration item, Void Staff is the Artillery Mage Magic Penetration item, and Deathfire Grasp is the Burst Mage Magic Penetration item.

http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/a/a8/Deathfire_Grasp_item.png/revision/latest?cb=20130731230043 Deathfire Grasp Welcome back old friend item 3136 + item 1058 + 1350 Gold = 3450 Gold +100 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive- Hand of Pain: +20 Magic Penetration UNIQUE Active: Mark the target for the next 6 seconds. If they are struck by one of your spells while marked, the mark is consumed to ignite a spirit flame upon them for the next 4.5 seconds. While affected by a spirit flame, 20% of all magic damage dealt to them before reductions by you is converted to true damage. (90 second cool down) (725 range) This is the Burst Mage Magic Penetration item. This is to help combat enemy shields and protections that specifically shield against magic damage. However, it won't entirely negate such reductions since the first spell you hit them with won't have the true damage applied to them and I doubt you can kill someone as a Burst Mage with only 20% of your intended damage.

item 3135 Void Staff item 1026 + item 1052 + 1015 Gold = 2300 Gold +85 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive: Magic damage ignores 45% of the target's bonus magic resist (applies before magic penetration). This change is to modernize Void Staff with it's AD equivalents. The price is reduced to solidify it as a purchase for when you need to counter hefty magic resist, especially with upcoming Magic Resist items below.

MAGIC RESIST

item 3112 Orb of Winter https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR5WWSTgQhx9ShTAyoDxWIQZbMpK2mgUpmWarNC4hP-M8vcbf0b + item 1057 + item 1006 + 580 Gold = 2450 Gold +550 Mana +70 Magic Resist +75% Base Health Regeneration UNIQUE Passive: After not taking damage for 12 seconds, begin to regenerate a 75 (+25 per level) shield over the next 5 seconds. From Level 13 forward, you only have to not take damage for 8 seconds. Currently, there aren't many items in the game to combat gigantic Siege compositions other than maybe a Zz'Rot Portal to force the Siege elsewhere or back. This is a much more "contained" anti-Siege that more helps the user when combating Siege instead of simply forcing them elsewhere. At Level 18, the shield reaches 500 health. This also grants you some bonus mana for the characters who are already anti-Siege and want to purchase this item for it's mana to fuel their anti-Siege abilities.

http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/3/37/Force_of_Nature_item.png/revision/latest?cb=20130319090334 Force of Nature item 1011 + item 1057 + item 1011 + 430 Gold = 3150 Gold +800 Health +55 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive: 20% of all magic damage taken is regenerated back as health over 20 seconds. Currently, the most annoying champions to combat are actually commonly AP Bruisers/Tank Assassins, such as Fizz, Ekko, and others of the sort. While this item may not help immediately in a fight other than the stats it provides, it causes otherwise hard to make favorable trades with such champions to become a little more even after a delay. It's almost like a combat version of Warmog's Armor.

http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/9/9e/Zhonya's_Ring_item.png/revision/latest?cb=20130319094510 Ring of Negatron item 1057 + item 1057 + item 1004 + item 1004 + 1110 Gold = 2800 Gold +100 Magic Resist +100% Base Mana Regeneration UNIQUE Passive: All bonus attack damage is converted into bonus health and 50% of ability power is converted into bonus magic resist. UNIQUE Active: Gain a 150 (+50 per level) magic damage shield that lasts for up to 1.75 seconds. (150 second cool down) Do you just REALLY need to negate magic damage burst at set intervals? Ring of Negatron is for you! It grants ginormous (up to 950) magic damage shield that lasts for 8 seconds and the highest amount of bonus magic resist on an item in the game. However, if you are an ADC or APC, be warned. This item comes with a passive that converts ALL bonus attack damage into bonus health and HALF of your ability power is converted into bonus magic resist. This means that if you are building this item, you are locking yourself into the Tank path and should not expect to deal as much damage as before (unless you are Galio or use Health to boost your damage). This item also benefits Mana Regeneration so that it can be purchased by Caster Supports who are facing issues surviving against magic damage. Also, I would have called this Zhonya's Ring, but I didn't want confusion with Zhonya's Hourglass since it is commonly abbreviated as Zhonya's.

These are overpowered and totally uneeded.. Have you been playing long enough to remember why original DFG was removed? Your version would be even more broken.

A quick two cents from me:

Haunting Guise, Liandry's Torment: Overall I feel these are decent changes that may be able to make change in the game Lightbringer, Void Staff: Not exactly sure how to feel aobut these ones. Sounds good as an idea but may end up a nightmare to deal in game. Again not sure. Deathfire Grasp: I understand your reasoning but I still don't like the idea of this item coming back. There was a reason why it was taken down in the first place and just trying to bring it back while also making it more balance just seems a little too much. Sapphire Globe: I like the idea of an item like this Orb of Winter: Again I like the idea of this Force of Nature: I have way to many mixed feelings about this. You literally said yourself it's like a combat warmog's. I can easily see this item being paired up with warmog's on say garen or mundo and then just have them be completely unkillable due to their other items with these two. I'd say lower the health or MR down just a tiny bit Ring of Negation: I really don't think this item could work. True it only provides MR and mana regen but the MR would be the highest in the game and the shield cooldown seems a little low for something that gives a 900 shield. Could see it working but it definitely needs work.

That's my two cents for ya. Pretty neat ideas but the stuff that needs work needs work.

This looks totally unnecessary. Why are people who see broken armpen mechanics want to break mpen also? Doesn't tha just stupid?

Lightbringer sounds broken imho.
