LORE It was a quiet night within the outskirts of Piltover, the City of Progress. Many were asleep when the sudden explosion shuck the city to it's core, startling all within to awake. Many frantically looked out their windows to check and see if something within the city had exploded. After a quick glance or two, it seemed like it was a false alarm and must have simply been an experiment gone wrong in Zaun. However, that was when they heard the loud march of metal and the smoke rising from outside of the city. Caitlyn, the sheriff of Piltover, pushed many to the side to get a good look at what seemed to have landed just outside of their city. The sight was truly a spectacle to behold. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/0/08/Archmagos_Dominus_Belisarius_Cawl.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170414203353 "Greetings," spoke the... thing in front of Caitlyn that seemed to be covered with technological enhancements. "I have come to aid in the coming storm that is soon to besiege your planet." Caitlyn had only just raised her rifle to his face when thousands of smaller beings walked out from the smoke behind the larger one. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/d/d1/Skitarii_Vanguard.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/250?cb=20150423044548 Caitlyn, quickly realizing she was outgunned for the moment, lowered her weapon. After a short chuckle, the larger being spoke. "We are not enemies. There is only one enemy that we share, and that is of the Void that descends upon your world, infecting the darkest corners that you have yet to check. Besides, your weapons are childish here. I would commend you if you could damage me. Come. We have much to discuss I would assume. Where is it that we can speak more comfortably?" The smoke cleared and from it appeared a crashed ship that seemed to be disappearing from existence and flowing into a cube dangling from the larger being's cowl. Any fire created by the crash was immediately extinguished. Aside from the plant life that was destroyed, it was as if the ship had never even crash landed. Upon further inspection, more and more smaller beings began to step into sight. Caitlyn was not dealing with a small force at the doorsteps of her city, but an army. https://orig00.deviantart.net/a483/f/2015/226/0/6/warhammer_40000__skitarii_onager_dunecrawler__by_doo_chun-d95omeh.jpg Intense weaponry entered Piltover that day, far beyond the understanding of any scientist within. Within a large meeting room, the being who had revealed himself to be called Stawlux Galgis presented his purpose of arrival. "As I have stated to the sheriff of this city with high potential, I have come to aid your planet in the coming war against the Void. I come from what your people might look up and see in the night sky. A planet far from this one. It was destroyed by the Void long ago, but we were able to evacuate before all of our people were lost. Now, we travel the stars, making sure to minimize the casualties the Void has inflicted upon the universe. Before, we merely took to evacuating races before dropping them off at another planet. However, we now know that eventually we will run out of planets to jump to. It might not be in my lifetime, but it will eventually happen. For this reason, we have come to stop the Void once and for all." Most of the population of Piltover had no idea what the Void was to Stawlux's surprise. He revealed the monsters that inhabited their world even now. However, he warned them that there was nothing to be afraid of, for he had arrived. He offered the people of Piltover absolute safety and the ability to perform research on most of the technology he brought with him as long as they provided food and shelter for his men. The people of Piltover, already salivating at the thought of being able to research the machinery that had landed at their doorstep before he had said that, demanded the city accept these terms. Due to the situation they were put in, the leaders of Piltover were forced to accept these terms. If they did not, they could have a riot on their hands. They had promised those who came to Piltover the constant chance to research the unknown and advance the world into a better tomorrow, so how could they refuse? From cubes attached to the many soldier's coats sprung workshops, bunkers, and various other structures that made the typical Piltover architecture seem archaic. From more cubes sprung giant ships that hovered above the ground and quickly began to jet across the sky at speeds unseen before. The new arrivals to Piltover even caused the many people of Zaun to force their way up from their city to see what was going on. Tomorrow had come to the city of Progress, and it promised protection and a technological advantage in the world that would allow for supreme rule. Stawlux hid away into his workshop which was several times larger than the other workshops, dwarfing them in height. Piltover began to advance into an age of prosperity, but Stawlux knew of the enemy they faced and how it would not back down without a bite. He worked hastily, knowing that the Void could arise any day now. When they did, he and his men would be ready for the coming storm. They had trained for this moment for decades, and now it was time to prove the might of the true might of the Mechanicals. The Void would be purged once and for all... and all those who stood in their way would fall just the same. https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/000/622/595/large/even-amundsen-warhammer40k-skitariivseldar-v07.jpg?1443927594 All art was made Games Workshop

KIT https://warofsigmar.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/blogging/picture8/1521/carnimech.jpg Stawlux Galgis, Arch Mechanic of the Mechanicals Main Role: Battle Mage Secondary Role: Juggernaut Health- 655 (+95 per level) Health Regen.- 10 (+0.9 per level) Mana- 400 (+55 per level) Mana Regen.- 9 (+0.6 per level) Armor- 30 (+4 per level) Magic Resist- 32.1 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 325 Attack Damage- 63 (+4 per level) Attack Speed- 0.52 (+1.2% per level) Attack Range- 175 (Melee)

Passive- Arch Mechanic of the Mechanicals Innate: If Stawlux is present in a lane when minions spawn to push down said lane, the minions spawned are replaced with Mechanical Soldiers that, upon coming within 600 units of Stawlux, will follow Stawlux and copy his movement and attack commands. Mechanical Soldiers ignore unit collision except with each other, meaning they can pass through all other units (and all other units can pass through them) except for other Mechanical Soldiers. Mechanical Soldiers will not move more than 900 units away from Stawlux once they are following him. Mechanical Soldiers have an additional passive that causes them to take 10/15/20/25% reduced physical damage from enemy champions and gain 50/65/80/95 flat movement speed once they are following Stawlux. Levels: 1/6/11/16

Ability 1- Carapace Incineration Beam Passive: Mechanical Soldiers following Stawlux deal an additional 1/2/3/4/5 (+4% AP) true damage on-hit with their basic attacks to enemy units and structures. Active: After a 1.25 second delay, Stawlux fires an intense beam of solar energy in the target direction, dealing 8/9/10/11/12% (+2% per 100 AP) of the first enemy champion hit's maximum health as true damage. If this beam hit's an enemy structure, it will deal 60/100/140/180/220 (+30% AP) true damage instead and reduce the cool down of this ability by 50%. Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana Cool Down: 10/8.5/7/5.5/4 seconds Range: 550 Beam Width: 230

Ability 2- Nullifying Axe Passive: Melee Mechanical Soldiers following Stawlux generate a 20/40/60/80/100 (+25% AP) shield after not taking damage for 6 seconds. Active: Stawlux swipes his metal axe out in front of himself, causing enemies in front of him to take 55/85/115/145/175 (+45% AP) magic damage and be knocked back 550 units over 0.75 seconds. Enemies who collide with terrain stop, are stunned for 0.75 seconds, and are dealt an additional 20/40/60/80/100 (+25% AP) magic damage. Cost: 75/80/85/90/95 mana Cool Down: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds Range: 350

Ability 3- Purge Lightning Passive: Ranged Mechanical Soldiers following Stawlux gain an additional 25/50/75/100/125 attack range and 6/12/18/24/30% (+15% per 100 AP) bonus attack speed. Active: Stawlux's next five basic attacks within 9 seconds gain 350 bonus attack range, are ranged, and have the damage dealt by them converted into magic damage. During this time, Stawlux gains 55/60/65/70/75% (+25% per 100 AP) bonus attack speed and 10/12/14/16/18% (+1% per 100 AP) life steal. When Stawlux attacks an enemy champion with one of these attacks, they are are applied a stack of 'Mechanical Static' for 3 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Allied champion basic attacks that attack an enemy champion with a stack 'Mechanical Static' will also apply a stack of 'Mechanical Static'. Once an enemy champion has 6 stacks of 'Mechanical Static', the stacks will be consumed to deal 3/4/5/6/7% (+1% per 100 AP) of their current health as magic damage and stun them for 0.8/0.9/1/1.1/1.2 second(s). Cost: 90 mana Cool Down: 14 seconds

Ultimate- Mechanical Garrison Active: After a 1 second delay, Stawlux constructs a wide circle of metal terrain around himself that can be destroyed with 10/11/12 basic attacks and lasts for up to 15 seconds. While within the circle, the cool downs of Stawlux's basic abilities are reduced by 25/30/35% and the range of Carapace Incineration Beam is increased by 75%. All Mechanical Soldiers within the circle become ranged and have their attack range set to 800. Mechanical Soldiers that are already ranged gain an additional 10 Attack Damage while within the circle. Allied units can move through the wide circle of mechanical terrain. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 170/160/150 seconds Mechanical Terrain Circle Radius: 550

GAMEPLAY PHILOSOPHY Stawlux Galgis is a Melee Mage Bottom Lane Carry that uses his vast army of soldiers and devastating abilities to decimate the ranks of the enemy team before melting their towers with his collected army and beam attack. Unlike Mordekaiser, Stawlux does not directly benefit from going Bottom Lane, but it is by far the best choice for him due to the lack of early turret shielding in the Bottom Lane, which will allow him to assault the enemy tower as quickly as possible. Furthermore, Stawlux Galgis has the unique ability to command his team's minions, meaning that he can literally deny his enemy farm by getting collecting his own farm quickly before retreating with his army under his tower. He also makes it so his lane's minions are much harder to kill for enemy champions, making them that much harder to last hit for gold, hampering their ability to farm. This unique ability to command minions makes Stawlux a unique and valuable asset for any team looking to take objectives. It would take ages to compile all of the potential strategies that Stawlux Galgis can do with his team's minions, so it is perhaps better to say what he CANNOT do:

  1. He cannot roam from lane to lane and scoop up an entire wave of minions. In order for a lane's minions to be Mechanical Soldiers that will follow him, Stawlux Galgis must be within that lane when each of the minion's spawn.
  2. Stawlux Galgis cannot split push passively just by standing in a lane when a wave of minions spawn and then moving to another lane to push. If Mechanical Soldiers are not following Stawlux Galgis, they will not be any better than a normal minion.
  3. Stawlux Galgis cannot transform every lane into a Mechanical Solider by standing right beside his Nexus. Only the lane he is closest to will be transformed into Mechanical Soldiers. It should be noted that if Stawlux Galgis is in the jungle when a wave of minions spawns, no Mechanical Soldiers will be spawned at all.

Stawlux's ultimate, Mechanical Garrison, allows his team to obtain a "base of operations" in a siege scenario by granting them a nice ring of terrain to hide within. Furthermore, Stawlux and his Mechanical Soldiers can actually outrange enemy turrets while within this ring of terrain, Stawlux through his beam and Mechanical Soldiers with their own basic attacks. Mechanical Garrison cannot also simply be used in a team fight for zoning and as a DPS boost by lowering the cool downs of Stawlux's abilities. It's high cool down should make Stawlux a little hesitant to use it whenever he wants to however.

Thank you for reading and constructive feedback is appreciated!

This concept is absolutely phenomenal. I'm very intrigued, impressed, and would absolutely LOVE to see this champion in game.

Now for my critique...

First off, I love the whole "converting minions" mechanic that you implemented. It's genius. It's unique. However, I do feel as though it could be fairly overpowered.

In short, minions have 30% reduced damage, +100 flat movement speed when following him, deal 2-6 + 4% AP true damage, gain a 20-100 + 25% AP shield when out of combat for 6 seconds, gain 25-125 attack range and 6-30 + 15% per 100 AP attack speed, and then of course "Mechanical Garrison" buffs them furthermore.

I get that the minions are supposed to feel powerful. They are an ancient race of soldiers that have been training for decades to combat the Void. That's fine. It's awesome. But I feel as though some numbers for the soldier's stats need to be tuned down, because he seems like a very oppressive champion in the bottom lane, and these minion stats will make it absolute hell for the enemy laner to farm.

I'm not sure what qualifies as "following Stawlux". But for now, I will suggest number fixes - 20% reduced damage, +75 Flat MS, 2-5% true damage (ratio is fine). I believe the shield is balanced, because it's rare for minions to be out of combat for six seconds while in a lane. So this is fine - I love it. As for the attack range and attack speed, I think that is also balanced. Again, you can take these suggestions with a grain of salt - just insight from an ADC main lol.

Ability wise, this champion is extremely unique and it's awesome. He has a little bit of everything, a melee-ability, a ranged solar-beam (which I'm assuming is somewhat similar to a Xerath Q in length?), and an auto-attack ability.

The only bit of quibbling I have for his E, "Purge Lightning", I think it could be a little more interactive. Instead of 5 auto attacks solely from him, it could be 5 attacks from him and allied champions. Or perhaps, 5 attacks from him, and 7 from allied champions. This would encourage a form of team-work while also allowing him to feel like he is independent.

Also, as a leader of these soldiers, I think it would be cool to have a way to control them and who they attack. Of course, this could be quite overpowered, but there can also be stat reduction in compensation for the ability to command them to focus a certain target. Or maybe only a certain number of soldiers can be commanded at a time.

Other than that, this concept is truly wonderful. I love the lore - it adds a sense of impending doom that clashes with this "mysterious hero" character(s) that really builds a tension while also adding resolve. It's simplistic and captivating.

In terms of the art, did you create the images? If you did, they are truly amazing! If not, that's alright - I would just suggest crediting the artist.

I would certainly play this champion if they were to be implemented into the game.

Damn, im sorry to say that i dont have much constructive comments, aside from WOW THATS ANAZING. This guy is what Yorick should have been, a true sieger that actually control his minions, and has more than one way to play. He fills so many strategic gaps in the game and opens up other strategies like powerleveling or sieging. But sadly, it's LoL, where most of the playerbase are casual who cant afford to learn counterplay, so this champion of yours mght end up getting reworked into something more "skillful" and "interactice" aka generic.

a melee bot laner would just be abused top lane.
