Meredith The Aspiring Conjurer
Goal of this Champion: To fit the niche of a conjurer. This is my 5th Champion concept, I can provide links upon request for the others. This time around I didn't put down any numbers on the abilities or provide any base stats seeing as those are highly malleable, simply delivering the concept. Hope you all enjoy it!

I do apologize that I could not bring my own art for this. The only difference would be the staff and color hue of the familiar would be purple
Lore:
Hailing from Ionia, Meredith was always fascinated as a child by the stories of people called Summoners. Throughout her childhood she read countless texts and as many tales involving these people. From her fascination she had only one desire, to become a summoner herself. In her later years she spent her time travelling around looking to all forms of magic schools to teach her the arts of summoning, eventually being permitted at the Arcanum Majoris. Despite her efforts, Meredith showed little progress.
At most, Meredith could manifest beings similar to what was wanted, but never summon the true creature. These manifestations could interact with the world for short period of time, then disappear. Most of the instructors lost hope in Meredith, except for one. This instructor sought out Meredith and wished to help her expand this art, to make a form of summoning which did not put any of the desired creations at risk. She was successful in creating forms of animals, plants, structures, even people. All of her creations acted exactly as a normal being would, the animals and people had expressions, emotions, and reasoning. More importantly, each one loved Meredith and wished to protect her. Now, Meredith wishes to demonstrate her abilities to those around her, in order to get enough attention for a school of “Conjuration” to be established.
"Sometimes your greatest allies can be something you created." - Meredith

Abilities
Passive: Conjurer’s Resolve (ranks increase at 1/7/13) Enemies damaged by Meredith’s abilities are left vulnerable, causing them to take additional magic damage from her next ability. This can happen on the same target once every few seconds.
- Passive is shown when usable on enemies with a light purple X laying horizontal just above the character’s head.
- The bonus magic damage is purely a small amount of base damage with an AP ratio as the main effect. Basically this is meant to increase the AP ratio on the next ability, without making the effect early game too weak.
- A debuff will show when the passive is there, called vulnerable. When it has been used recently, invulnerable will be there (same icon but without color) to say it can’t be used again.
Q: Familiar’s Calling Meredith summons a wolf familiar at the target location. After a brief delay the familiar will charge along a chosen path. Enemies on the familiar’s path will be dealt magic damage and slowed. This ability interrupts channels.
- Her highest damage non-ultimate ability, primarily used for farming and poke.
- Have the small delay before the dash to allow dodging,
- Low CD and Medium Mana Cost
W: Wrath of the Oak Meredith launches a conjured spear at the target location, dealing magic damage. If the spear hits an enemy champion or monster directly, it will attach to them. After a brief delay, the spear then sprouts tree roots in a circle, damaging enemies and rooting them for a short time.
- Since this is an aoe root, the duration would more than likely be small.
- There is a delay which allows for escape before the root applies, aka counterplay.
- This is her only form of hard CC, so it should be used wisely, especially in lane.
- Medium CD and Medium-High Mana cost
E: Double-edged Shield Meredith surrounds a target ally with a conjured shield, absorbing damage for 5 seconds. While the shield persists, a small percentage of the damage inflicted from basic attacks and single target lock on abilities is reflected back before any reductions are calculated as magic damage. If a basic attack or single target ability breaks the shield, damage will not be reflected back.
- This is similar to the thornmail passive, but lasting only for however long the shield lasts rather than the whole time and applies to single target lock on abilities (point and click). This is the ability that really would allow her to be a support.
- I am intending for this effect to stack with thornmail, so Meredith would work great against an AA reliant team where her allies would build thornmail.
- The percentage reflected would most likely be lower than what thornmail’s is until final rank, where it would either by equal to or higher, not sure on this.
- Medium CD and High Mana Cost
- Passive is triggered with this.
R: Spirit Guardian Meredith conjures a replica of a target enemy or ally champion. This replica will act as a pet and will attack Meredith’s enemies. After a duration, or once the replica dies, an effect will occur on the original target champion. If ally, they are shielded for a percentage of the damage the replica took. If enemy, they are dealt a percentage of the damage the replica took as well as a percentage of Meredith’s AP as magic damage.
- The Replica’s Health, MS, Armor, MR, AS, and Range are based off of the target. The AD is based on a percentage of Meredith’s AP (thinking about 50-60, not sure if that’d be op or not). The replica has no AP.
- Since the health of the replica and the target is the same, the shielding and base amount of damage dealt is essentially % of target’s HP.
- The animation on the effect of the original target is shown by, once the replica dies, it will become a wisp and travel to the target.
- Replica auto attacks trigger the passive.
- Medium CD and Mana Cost (for ultimates that is)
Note: All of Meredith’s abilities are transparent and have a light purple hue. That way none of the abilities are obstructive but are still easily noticeable. If there are 2 Merediths, the enemy Meredith’s abilities will have a red hue.
