LORE https://cdn.suwalls.com/wallpapers/games/thrun-the-last-troll-magic-the-gathering-29811-1920x1080.jpg Art by Jason Chan While the Kumungu Jungle is a plague ridden land where death spreads through the air like sunlight for some, for others it is home. The many animals and plants that live within the jungle have come to love their disease ridden home due to their immunity to the plagues within. This has granted them a safe haven from the outside world, causing any contact with humans to be either short lived or incredibly rare. While most of the animals within the jungle are your standard predator or prey, natural selection type of animal that doesn't function at the kind of level other races do, there are a few kinds of creatures within that are not only sentient, but arguably smarter than humans. One of such races is the Jungle Trolls. They are a shamanistic race that focus on preserving the plant-life of the jungle and mutating the plants on occasion to serve a higher purpose. One of such trolls is Boggon, an elder of his respective tribe that has been granted warnings from the Greenfather. He has been warned that, soon, mankind and the many races outside the jungle will be able to come into the jungle and hurt what is within. Soon, the plagues that surround the jungle won't be able to protect the life within. Boggon has spread these warnings throughout the jungle and, unlike most stories that have been told over the years, the many races of the jungle actually listened and prepared for the coming assault on their territory. The many creatures scavenged what food they could, created natural barricades throughout the jungle, and sheltered their young. The Jungle Trolls then began to raise up huge walls of vines from the ground and created many wardens to protect the jungle from the plants within. Several magical traps were placed throughout the jungle that only outside races could activate. For the next few years, the creatures of the jungle waited. When it seemed like the Greenfather had lied, man suddenly appeared. Huge machines entered the jungle, slicing at the trees within to harvest their wood and bark. Men in armored suits, made to protect them from the plagues within, piloted these machines. Boggon and the rest of the jungle began their counterattack. From out of the brush came creatures that mankind had never seen before or even read stories about. The Jungle Trolls appeared and quickly laid waste to the huge machines and forced the humans to retreat back to their cities. All of the Kumungu rejoiced at this victory, but they knew mankind was stubborn. In time, they would return, and they would have much more devastating machines. Boggon warned that if they left their guard down now, they would not be prepared for the coming storm. As he warned his fellow trolls of what they needed to prepare for, laughter could be heard from within the jungle approaching them. From behind the wall of vines came a human woman... but not quite entirely human. She called herself Zyra and told the many creatures what mankind had brought her: a new body with mystical powers to relish in. With this power, Zyra could bring about a new age for the Kumungu Jungle where instead of slowly being chopped down with each assault, they could expand outwards and rid the world of the menace that was mankind. Boggon was not so sure of this plan. It essentially meant going to war with the rest of the world. While the creatures of the Kumungu Jungle were powerful when on defense, their offensive powers were limited. Since their main defense came from the Kumungu Jungle's plagues themselves, expanding outwards sounded like suicide to Boggon. However, his mind was tempted to accept after watching Zyra raise an acre of jungle trees from the ground and bringing with it the familiar scent of the plagues that the Kumungu carried within it. Boggon was uncertain now. Could nature really go to war with humankind? Zyra knelt down and whispered in his ears, tempting him with new dreams that he had never even imagined could be reality. A world where humankind could never return to the Kumungu Jungle because they would be wiped out. There would be no more pollution or destruction threatening the animals and plants within. Indeed, for eternity, there would be peace. Boggon, with his mind corrupted by these all too good promises made by Zyra, accepted this new plan. The Greenfather returned and warned Boggon of what he was doing. Nature required balance and what Zyra promised was discord. For centuries there would be nothing but death and destruction. The plants and animals that would need to be sacrificed for such conquest would number in the billions, if not trillions. For the first time in his life, Boggon did not listen to the Greenfather. The promises Zyra had made were all too intoxicating. He could imagine it now. A world where there were no wars and all the animals could play and live their lives in peace. Only their natural predators would endanger them then. Boggon turned his back to the Greenfather, turning to Zyra. Until there was nothing but peace forever, there would be no peace. With that, Boggon left with Zyra to prepare for war. Ivern knew he could not stop Boggon. While he was powerful, the Greenfather could not overcome the control the Jungle Trolls had on the creatures and plants within the Kumungu. There was no stopping this war. All Ivern could do was hope the body count would not be too high. Ivern would save every soul he could, even if that meant sacrificing his own for the greater good.

Plant minions cannot move further than 1225 units away from Boggon, immediately stopping their assault, returning to Boggon, and healing themselves upon exiting this range. Plant minions last until killed, but Boggon can only have a maximum of 4/6 (at levels 1/13) of each type of plant minion following him at one time. Plant minions ignore unit collision. Ability 1- Call Forth Nature Passive: Boggon's presence causes the plants littered throughout the map to respawn 35/45/55/65/75% (+15% per 100 AP) faster after they are either converted into a plant minion or attacked. Active: After channeling for 1.75 seconds, Boggon causes a wall of vines to emerge at the target location with 450/650/850/1050/1250 (+20/22.5/25/27.5/30% bonus health) Health, 0/10/20/30/40 (+15% bonus Armor) Armor, and 5/20/35/50/65 (+25% bonus Magic Resist) Magic Resist. Allies can move through these walls, but enemies cannot. Enemy minions that come in contact with a wall of vines will be taunted to it and forced to attack it until it has been destroyed. Enemy vision is not blocked by these walls. If Boggon is not within 1225 units of these walls, minions will deal 175% increased damage to them. Enemies within the wall upon it's creation are knocked up into the air and shoved to the side of the wall opposite of Boggon. Ability 2- Plague Seal Active: After channeling for 1.25 seconds, Boggon places a seal at the target location that will last for 75 (+10% AP) seconds. When an enemy champion moves over the seal, the plagues from the Kumungu Jungle will be released upon them and any other enemy unit currently on the seal, dealing 4/5/6/7/8% (+1% per 100 AP) of their current health as magic damage over 5 seconds (max 40/50/60/70/80 damage per second vs. monsters) and revealing them for 0.75 seconds. If they are below 50% maximum health, they will also be applied Grievous Wounds for 5 seconds and briefly slowed by 10/30/50/70/90% for 1.5 seconds. Plague Seals will decay after 6 seconds if they placed within 900 units of an enemy structure. Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana Cool Down: 25/22.5/20/17.5/15 seconds Range: 800 Seal Radius: 225

Ability 3- Nature's Blessings Active: After channeling for 1 second, Boggon causes the target allied champion to be healed for 60/120/180/240/300 (+30/45/60/75/90% AP) health over 10 seconds. During this time, their basic attacks and single target, non-DoT spells will apply a stack of 'Nature's Curse' to their target for 5 seconds, refreshing upon reapplication. When an enemy unit reaches 4 stacks of 'Nature's Curse', they will take 6/7/8/9/10% (+1% per 100 AP) of their current health as magic damage (max 300/350/400/450/500 damage vs. monsters) and be rooted for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s). Ultimate- Eye of the Elder Active: After channeling for 2.5 seconds, Boggon curses the target enemy champion on the map for 15/17.5/20 seconds. During this time, all plants that come within 2500 units of the enemy champion will be transformed into their respective plant minion and relentlessly attack the cursed target until either the target is killed or they die. Plant minions summoned this way do not grant vision to Boggon or his team, but are revealed to the enemy team once they spawn and do not require vision of the cursed target to know where they are. The cursed target will take 75/100/125% (+25% per 100 AP) increased damage from plant minions and deal 25/30/35% reduced damage to plant minions during this time. Plant minions also gain 70/85/100% increased movement speed, 55/65/75 Slow Resistance, and 35/50/65 Tenacity while chasing the cursed target, and will slow the cursed target by 25% for 0.25 seconds whenever they damage them during this time. Boggon must maintain vision of his target for the full duration of the channel in order for this ability to be cast. Plant minions already following Boggon will also charge after the cursed enemy if they come within 2500 units of them. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 140/115/90 seconds Range: Global

GAMEPLAY SUMMARY

Boggon is a small little dude that plays as a back-line Support champion. With his immense walls, protective plant minions, seals, and respectable healing, he is quite the difficult champion to approach. However, all of his spells have a channel time that can be interrupted. If he is jumped on and the champion who jumped on him can keep interrupting him or just flat out kill him before he can cast many if any spells, he will quickly lose power in fights. It's about positioning, and making sure you know where the enemy is and they don't know where you are. Over the match, Boggon will want to roam the map and create as many plant minions as he can until he reaches his cap. This will give him and his team a ton of extra utility to combat all sorts of enemy champions based on the enemy team. Blast Cone Minions perform well against Fighters and Tanks who wish to engage on your team by knocking them into air upon dying, providing your team with a small amount of time to recover from their initiation. Scryer's Bloom Minions perform well against Assassins who wish to use stealth to sneak their way behind enemy lines by catching them in the act, allowing your team to react before the Assassin begins their combo. Honeyfruit Minions perform well against ADCs and sustained damage threats by providing a constant source of healing for your team with their fruit, allowing you to endure slightly harsher barrages of attacks. By predicting where fights will occur by placing down Walls of Vines around the area, you can provide immense meat shields for your team that can make it difficult for the enemy team to navigate through the area and damage your team. This can also be used in a Siege scenario so that the enemy will have a hard time damaging your team due an immense wall standing between your team and theirs. Overall, the Walls of Vines will provide you and your team with the protection you need against teams with lower range. Plague Seals can be used for a variety of scenarios. When in a Siege scenario, they can be placed under the tower to force the enemy team reposition away from the sealed area or take damage. They can also be placed behind your Walls of Vines in order to provide protection against sneaky Assassins who might endanger you and your allies. Finally, they can also simply be littered throughout the jungle in order to provide your team with vision of the map and break away at the enemy's defenses before the fight even begins. Nature's Blessings is an interesting spell since it is the first heal over time in the game that isn't reliant on allies staying within a certain area and isn't self-cast, although it can be. Nature's Blessings gives allies healing of course, but also provides their attacks AND single target, non-DoT spells with an effect that causes their enemies to be rooted after damaging them four times. This provides your team with benefits for focusing down one target since the cool down of Nature's Blessings is low enough for it be applied to multiple of your team's damage threats at once. Aside from that, it's a fairly basic ability that can be spread throughout your team rather quickly. Eye of the Elder is a long duration curse effect that causes an enemy to think twice before wandering into the jungle unless they are fine with coming under a barrage of attacks from the local flora. This will also increase the damage dealt to an enemy by the plant minions already following Boggon as well as force them to charge and attack the target if they are within the curse's effect radius. This is important to note after applying a curse to someone since this means you will be throwing you all of your army to focus down one target. You cannot force your plant minions to stop attacking them and target someone else during this time, so plan ahead and use this ability wisely, especially since it's channel time is quite long.

When playing against Boggon, it is important to keep the pressure on him. If he can never complete his spells channel times without taking immense damage or being interrupted, he will be reliant on only his plant minions to impact a fight, which requires him to damage someone and if he can't cast spells, this means using his short range basic attack. Forcing Boggon into this situation is ideal and effectively shuts him down. If he is able to create a fortress of vines, do not fret. As long as your team can deal out a steady stream of damage, the walls will eventually fall and be unable to be replaced due to the ability's high cool down. Also, as long as you can kill his plant minions before they reach you, their effectiveness will be heavily reduced since they are melee and almost all of their effects are reliant on them being near enemies to be of use.

Thank you for reading and feedback is appreciated! I might add in a Quotes section for this guy eventually if he gets noticed.

Note: I wanted to quickly point out that the tooltip for his Passive wouldn't be that long in game. The stats and effects of each of the minions would not be shown in the tooltip, but instead displayed when you click on them like you would an enemy champion to see what items they have. Their passives would be displayed as permanent buffs for reading. Also the technical bits, such as the plant minions' gold reward and leash range, would not show either.

I love the concept of the champ, but my first reaction is that you tie a lot of his power into the plants on the map. As we've seen over the last several seasons, Jungle changes are almost the only thing guaranteed during off season. For all we know plants won't be on the map after this season. I know you did that to differentiate from Zyra's seed concept, but it seems a pretty big flaw to assume that map plants will be around for a while.

One of the best champion idea I've seen in a long while. Screen shotted all of it to show to my friends. The ult does seem a bit lack luster. Maybe have the plant monsters spawn faster when ult is active? Also if you don't mind how exactly do the walls work? Are they like Anivia and disappear eventually? Or did I miss something

Would be nice to have an actual plantlike support, we have a magelike support, a tanky top support, and a jungle support.

I really loved reading this! I thought it was a really creative design. I think it would be cool if he had some sort of connection to trundle in his lore just because ya know trundle is the troll king. Also I would worry about the reliablity of the plants that spawn naturally around the map I think that his passive should add something about plants spawning around him every once in a while kind of like Zyra orIllaoi . Also is plague seal invisable like Jhin trap? I really love this idea and would love to see it expanded in the future. :)

I really enjoy the idea. Trolls are one of my favourite races in mythology and another troll champion is definitely welcome.

Seems a little OP, the kit is strong and the damage/healing is quite strong as well

I'm too tired to give you a full run-down, but I can give it to you later. My first thoughts, though?

There are no plants on Howling Abyss or Twisted Treeline.
