You are working for free. For a billionaire enterprise. Sure , you can love the game, but why work for free?

Ya will answer your question. Ya have a lot of free time and ya wanna be in this game. Ya don't mind to help developers on getting new ideas. Ya is just a simple guy. Ya doesn't need much.

So, don't be like that guy who is good at something, but never does it for free. Sharing is caring, if you smell what ya means. Don't worry, be happy.

Well, in the case of champions, there is basically zero chance of Riot making it, so you are not working for anyone.

In the case of skins, you are pitching an idea you want to see in game, so if it is done, you get the skin and some degree of satisfaction.

In addition, work invested into a champion or skin concept hones your abilities, which is useful if you are interested in entering the industry.

Finally, this is most often done for fun, so it is a reward by itself.
