A Teemo rework/update

It can't be denied. Our dark Lord and Savior is having a rough time being relavent. Outside of his mains he can tend to struggle. Why? Well for starters he's usually only picked to counter the enemy top and give some map pressure through traps. But with the help of Scuttle (plushie pls), red trinket, plants, duskblade, control ward, and more; his traps are kinda failing.

Some people say buff x or revert y but I think it's time to give one of the oldest and most iconic champions a rework. So I've come up with one that's on the Darius level. Same play style retained, same build stype is being aimed for. Just looking to update him.

So Teemo is typically built or designed to build ap, attack speed, on hit, and cdr. He's also known for his poison style. So I came up with something that makes him a poison/status effect champion. (Think Butterfree)

Passive remains the same. It's pretty solid.

Old Q: Blinding Dart is pretty iconic to Teemo and is usually what allows him to counter aa based top laners and give adc's hell. But against any mage or caster, it's really just an empowered auto attack reset. New Q: Knock out. Teemo fires a skill shot that puts his target to sleep for x seconds. Something short in duration and gives him a little hard cc. Also can't be cleansed or removed (you're asleep). It can collide on first champ, minion, or whatever if it seems strong.

Old W: For the most part it's just a speed boost. Pretty out dated. New W: A small hop. Think Gnar Hop. Can bounce off Shrooms

Old E: Youre AA's apply poison. Kinda boring. New E: Passive- AA's still apply poison. Active- Teemo applies a selected statis to his next 3 shots. Think Twisted Fate selection style. One that applies a slow. One applies grievious wounds. And one amps the normal poison. After the 3 shots this ability passive goes on a cooldown.

Old R: His iconic Shrooms. Aggrivating and bordline op back in the day when they had ten minutes, nuked, and weren't so easy to detect. Now they're pretty easy to detect and shut down. New R: Still tossable and bounce off each other. When popped (even when disabled) they drop a small Blinding smoke aoe (think Graves). Teemo can also use his new W to bounce off them (Gnar style). When bouncing off them they pop immediatly.

Note (when popped while disabled they don't do damage. Only drop the smoke. This allows them to still have counterplay through detection items but still have some use to fight back.

So, if you actually read through this, Thank You. I feel this would make him a pretty unique champion in regards to all the statis ability he brings.

  • He still retains his need for the stats he usually builds.

  • He's got fun new tools that still allow counterplay (no PnC blind on constant poison ticks) but has an added cc and statis effects that help him be useful in team fights so he doesn't have to be stranded into top island.

  • He's still Teemo in playstyle

I get it, teemo feels old, like really really old.

Simultaneously, though, I cannot image teemo doing anything different.

Teemo hasn't been a meta pick in like half of the games lifecycle, and honestly, Riot seems okay with that, I don't think they are planning any changes to him unfortunately.

i hardly ever play teemo mostly ekko, but when i do play teemo i make the enemy team bow down and beg for mercy... so a rework like this wouldent happen because i would never play teemo again if THOSE were his abilitys, i mean, W, a hop? wtf... q is fine as it is being a blind cause it can be highly effective against bot lane carry early game and late game it takes a massive chunk out of peoples health and w is a gap closer... r can only be detected by special types of vision or oracles potion but people normally dont waste they're gold on those and say "fuck it i dont care" and deal with your BS ult, e is better off being a passive than something as odd as what you want from it, besides TF is already broken with that if you can rig the system via timeing, people found out that you can actually count how much time it takes to get the next card, meaning they found out each card changes after 1.5 seconds meaning it takes 4.5 seconds to make 1 full round, if you could rig it with teemo, dear god... its bad enough TF gets the choose how he kills you, but amplifying the poisen dmg is insane, even a slow, your odd "hop" would make it remain a gap closer... pop W then E rig system for slow and then poisen, i hope we dont get a rework like this... it would make teemo who balanced himself out during all the time hes been out of riots bingo book for reworks and updates, ect... maybe if you made this a bit more balanced out and more intresting riot may do it if it gets enough support
