Solus: Wanderer of the Sands (Champion Concept)
I found this old Champion concept I made a long time ago, and was intrigued by it again, so I cleaned it up a bit and, welp, here it is. I'll avoid numbers, because they get in the way of the concept, and generally are better left to game developers.
Solus: Wanderer of the Sands - Fighter Faction: Shurima Gender: Male Age: 47
Lore (WIP)
Appearance (WIP)
Kit and Gameplay
Passive - The Roaming Sands: When Solus casts an ability, he spawns Sand wherever he moves that stems from himself. Whenever Solus is on Sand he gains a small Armor buff. Whenever Solus is hit by an enemy champion, he loses the armor buff, and gains a small MS boost. The Armor buff refreshes whenever a new ability is cast.
Abilities cast on sand have an additional effect.
Explanation: Kind of like Riven, Solus relies on spacing out his abilities to make the most of his Armor and Sticking ability. Thankfully, no animation canceling to go along with it.
; Q - Lashing Sands: Solus sweeps his foot across the ground, flinging Sand out in a cone in front of him. Enemies in the center of the cone take more damage than enemies on the outsides of the cone.
If Solus is standing in Sand, Enemies in the middle are blinded if they are facing towards him.
Explanation: Lashing Sands is one of Solus's survivability tools as a fighter. Sticking to your sand grants you more Defense and Survivability. Plan is to make this an average CD, something not spammable, but reliable to have in a fight.
W - Wave of Sand: Solus launches a Wave of Sand forward, gaining MS on it and all Sands as long as the Wave is in motion. Recasting the Wave turns it back towards you.
Enemies standing in Sand when the Wave hits will receive an attack speed slow, and a Minor Slow.
Explanation: I don't want any fancy dashes or blinks, so Solus gets a lot of his Mobility through Zone Control. MS while in sand means that he'll have a superior advantage in fighting if his Enemy allows him.
E - Passive: The Sun bearing down upon Solus, he gains increased Vision Range and can see within nearby bushes. Active: Solus sends the sun to gaze upon another location, revealing the area for a short time. Solus loses his passive when this is on CD.
Explanation: Pretty simple. May be too strong, idk. He will not see invisible units.
R - Law of the Desert: Solus summons the Spirit of the Sands, creating an Area around him that will stop any Allied or Enemy movement abilities. MS boosts will not be affected. Whenever Solus moves when Law of the Desert is active, he will leave behind Sand. Solus's Armor and MS from his passive will be doubled when within this area.
Explanation: Now this one is complicated, and is the most likely to be changed. For some clarification, that which might not be obvious in game, this will not affect Passive Mobility like Kallistas, or Q's from Riven, because those are combat based movements. Things like Jax Leap, Fizz Dash (not W), and Lucian Dash will be affected though. Like said, most likely to change this depending on feed back.
Gameplay: Solus's gameplay is focused within utilizing his Abilities in a way to take advantage of his Passive. He only has two damage abilities, but he Synergizes well with items like Black Cleaver and Triforce. Solus's main roles are seemingly in the Jungle or Top Lane, using his W to engage fights, and E to see ahead in bushes to stop those awkward encounters with those enemy junglers.
My personal hope is that his lack of hard cc (Stuns, snare) in favor of combat based control and Zone control will be enough to even out weaknesses and strengths, but I have my concerns.
This is pretty WIP, and I'd like some Feedback if possible. I'll add in Lore, Interactions, item quotes, and appearance, when I have more time to type. And like our Lord and Emperor always says "SHURIMA
