LORE Many have questioned the importance of the Eye of Twilight's existence within this world. Why must the world be in balance? Why must he keep his own version of balance? Why not simply kill all who sow evil into this world? The answer is simple: such ideas were spawned by someone, or perhaps more properly said, something that wishes to cause the end of anything that has ever existed, currently exists, and will ever exist. Baphomet, the infernal darkness that dwells within the spirit realm which mirrors our own world, sows these lies into the history hoping one day the world will finally be rid of it's keepers of balance and fall into chaos. Baphomet is a name that even demons fear. Baphomet is a name that all knowledgeable mortals fear. Baphomet is a name that is so feared that in ancients texts written by the Walkers and passed down to their Iceborn, it is said to be forbidden to even speak the name Baphomet. Depictions of the creature can be found almost completely erased from the walls of tombs in Shurima. In short, no being that has ever existed within reality has heard the name Baphomet and not had a slight chill sent up their spine. When the universe was first birthed from the darkness, the darkness that existed latched onto this new reality and manifested as the very first demon to ever exist. This demon was Baphomet, the lord of all demons that have ever existed and ever will exist. His rule has gone unchallenged since the very beginning of the universe itself and for good reason. He desires the destruction of everything, but has not done so simply because he cannot escape the Spirit World which he has been locked within since he destroyed over three fourths of the original universe that once existed. After only a fourth of that which originally was existed, the remaining living celestial beings formed together and trapped Baphomet within the Spirit Realm, a realm created that would act his prison for all eternity. However, even this has not stopped Baphomet from influencing the mortal world. His children, demons, are born when his whispers and words of power seep into the material plane from the spirit world and latch onto a strong emotion or negative energy flowing within the mortal world at one time. If a war is going on, it is likely that many demons filled with wrath will be birthed from it that will need to be slain by the mortal plane's defenders. Shen, the current Eye of Twilight, works constantly to make sure Baphomet never creates enough demons in the mortal plane to accomplish whatever horrific scheme he may be plotting. However, since Baphomet is immortal and the defenders of the mortal realm are not, this has forced these defenders to constantly pass down their teachings to those beneath them and make sure their duty is fulfilled after their death. Otherwise, it could mean the end of all things at the hands of the most powerful demon to ever exist. In recent times, with the Kinkou Order having been devastated by the Order of Shadows, Baphomet has seen an opening to begin his return to the mortal plane. During the next blood moon, Baphomet plans to return to the mortal plane and begin his long conquest. He knows that his return will undoubtedly send a tsunami of energy across all dimensions, so he knows he must act fast when he returns or risk being banished yet again. Or... he could take a different approach from last. In the dead of night, his cultists prepare for his coming, gathering sacrifices and artifacts of great power in order to fuel the spell that will be finally allow the Lord of Demons to return and destroy the final fourth that he failed to destroy so long ago. http://dnd.wizards.com/sites/default/files/media/styles/news_banner/public/images/news/Orcus_TH.jpg?itok=GCzlNGGH

Blood Moon

Their whispers filled the night as the spell was channeled. Shen dashed through the forest, working tirelessly to reach the gathering in time. Unlike any other time the Great Destroyer had been attempted to be summoned, the very air Shen breathed was tainted. Usually the heads of anyone who tried to summon the Immortal Death would immediately explode, unable to grasp the being. This time, however, it was different. This time, for the first time in many years, Shen felt emotion again. It was as if a primordial wave of emotions that could not suppressed even if he had trained for an eternity had washed over him. Shen was afraid. The sky began to turn red and crimson red energy pulsed through the trees surrounding the gathering. Akali and Kennen were closely behind him, none able to speak a word as this wave of dread washed over them. Akali and Kennen began to slow down as reality itself seemed to darken around them. Shen knew better. That was simply a confirmation of his greatest fear that had kept appearing in his mind the entire journey here: Baphomet was coming. The God of All That Has Ever Birthed Evil was actually about to step down into their reality.

The earth itself began to shake, and reality seemed to bend and break. The moon increased slowly in size before clouds gathered above their heads and it began to rain. This was not water however. The intense smell of iron filled Shen's nose. This was blood. He kept going, not answering the questions suddenly released from both Akali and Kennen. This was no time for words. This was no time for anything. Shen himself could see into the spirit realm, and he alone could see the demon's shadow eclipsing the world around them. When Shen arrived in the clearing where the cultists sat chanting, the ground was flooded with blood, rising up to just above his ankles. Dark whispers filled Shen's mind. If he had not been prepared for this exact moment, he would have gone mad then and there. Suddenly, from the sea of blood at Shen's feet, hands reached up and grabbed at his legs. This he had not been prepared for. They began to pull Shen down into the blood as if it was far, far deeper than it actually was. Cries of souls that were being tortured filled Shen's ears, likely being shouted from the mouths that possessed the hands which pulled on him. He slowly began to sink into the blood and then, in a burst of energy, a portal opened up in the middle of the clearing. A murk filled the air from it which made Shen feel as if his blood itself was being boiled. He fought through the pain and, in one swift emotion, cut through half of the cultists there. The portal began to falter, slowly beginning to close. A cultists shouted for Shen to stop, but it was too late for them. In another swift motion, the remaining cultists were dead and the portal disappeared. The blood that had previously filled the land was gone. The clouds disappeared and all was as if nothing had happened. The red light given off from the moon was gone completely. The night was silent.

Akali and Kennen finally caught up with Shen. Even Kennen was breathless, surprised at the inhuman speed Shen had shown in arriving here. Suddenly, Shen fell to the ground exhausted. It had taken all of his strength to stop the ritual, and he was unable to do anything else. His body was at it's breaking point and he knew that the muscles in his body were likely damaged severely. The feeling he had felt earlier of his blood boiling was likely a spell that had spread out and amplified the pain of his muscles tearing from overexertion. Shen had almost closed his eyes when, suddenly, they snapped open again at the sight in the sky. The moon... the moon... the moon! The moon was still a blood moon! It had ended. The ritual had ended and yet the moon was still a solid crimson. Even the light it shined down upon Shen was normal, and yet it was still very clearly a blood moon. A chill filled Shen as the trees around Shen flashed a pulse of red energy through them and the moon returned to normal. Shen had failed. He had trained his entire life for this moment, and yet he still failed. With an emotionless face hiding how Shen truly felt, Shen turned to Akali and Kennen and spoke.

"Baphomet walks among us."

Shen could see the tears slowly begin to form in Kennen's eyes and the frustration in Akali's face at all of their failure. And yet, the question lingered in Shen's mind. If Baphomet had truly returned and was among them, why were they still alive? Why was Runeterra still here? This question haunted Shen for weeks to come, and he did not find an answer. He searched for a presence that matched Baphomet's, but none could be found. Regathering his composure, Shen began his investigation. How could he not? The fate of all of the universe was in his hand's and if he did not stop Baphomet from accomplishing whatever it is he was planning, it would all cease to exist.

GAMEPLAY PHILOSOPHY Baphomet is a large and in charge demon who boils the blood of his enemies before sneaking up behind them and finishing them off with a blow from his mighty staff. When fights begin to break out, Baphomet can summon a blood moon to empower himself and summon a meteor to fall upon his enemies, crippling his enemies and finishing off their injured. Baphomet is an incredibly durable Burst Mage that, despite relying on stealth, will always be seen coming by his enemies due to visual and audio queues that warn of his arrival. Baphomet's slow yet painful style of play can put intense pressure on his lane opponent as he constantly vanishes from sight only for his enemies to have a demonic symbol appear below their feet, leaving them guessing as to when and where Baphomet will strike next. His Blood Boil ability is a very, very strange ability due to it's incredible range, but incredibly slow projectile speed. Any enemy champion can outrun it unless they are slowed, but the massive wave of negative energy will just keep on moving for a very long time. Enemies hit will take a fairly respectable amount of damage over time and, if any of them die, Baphomet will be rewarded with a stack The Immortal Death. Speaking of which, Baphomet's early game is actually somewhat focused on farming, as he will want to gather as much armor and magic resist as he can from his passive through killing enemies. If he can farm enough, he can become an incredibly durable threat, especially when combined with the strong shield gained from Soul Buffet. By using Blood Moon, Baphomet can even exert pressure on other lanes by throwing down large meteors to crush his opponents into submission. When Baphomet's team begins to group up and fight the enemy team, Baphomet does not cease to become a threat that exerts intense pressure on his enemies. He can sneak up on the enemy back line by becoming Invisible and then going through the front line to devastate their back line. Once he has killed their carry, he can use the meteor half of Blood Moon to stun the enemy and help lessen any retaliation he may receive upon suddenly appearing next to the enemy team's carry. The shield from Soul Buffet can also add up when it hits multiple enemy champions, creating a strong barrier to negate the enemy's damage on top of his large amount of armor and magic resist.

In the average game, I gain somewhere around 200 cs and 17 kills/assists. That's around 280 free armor and magic resist even before the % kicks in- and then you give him 100% armor and 100% magic resist as HP!?
