LORE http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AQOu_9-Vaaw/Tw1bujseWRI/AAAAAAAAARs/0WJ3PPrAdAE/s1600/desert_bkg+x.png In Shurima, there are many spirits of old. These mostly consist of those below the sand, but rarely does a spirit ever come above the shifting sands of the desert. One such spirit is Gin, an old traveler among the first few humans to first enter Shurima. The second ruler of Shurima, Gin was benevolent ruler who was against his younger brother's ideas of slavery. The younger brother told him that all those below Gin were lesser beings and that they should be brought down to their knees. Gin disagreed, as his father had made these sands what they were today and he never expected such behavior from those who followed him. The younger brother was exiled by Gin after he attempted to impale Gin upon a spike after hearing such words from Gin. The guards seized the younger brother and escorted him to the border before telling him to never return. Gin, however, was not the leader Shurima needed at the time, or maybe he was exactly what they needed. Shurima was a new nation and was very much a target of war. Gin, however, believed that combat would better be solved by using the sun to prevent combat. He was a pacifist and did not enjoy combat. As the armies of foreign nations attacked, Gin would use the power of the sun to hold back those who attempted to wage war against them. Their attackers did not die nor sustain any injuries however. The only injuries they gained were from continuing to try to attack. Gin was famous for the Sun Wall technique. Gin was a Sun Priest who had a deeper connection to the sun than any other Sun Priest that ever had lived or ever would live. He was able to control the power that the sun brought him to extraordinary levels that stunned all enemies that tried to attack his nation. Gin wanted not war, but peace. He tried to persuade other nations to become one with Shurima and stand with Gin in trying to unite the world under one flag. Each section of the mighty nation would continue to be controlled by whoever controlled that section beforehand and Gin would protect them with the power of the sun. The only cost was that the nation must not attack Shurima and would trade with Shurima. Most accepted this offer, but some did not. Those that did not were thirsty for blood and wanted nothing other than the power that Gin possessed. They would continue to wage war against Shurima, but could continue to do nothing against the great walls of sunlight that Gin possessed. One army was able to slip past Gin, but could not do any damage before Gin noticed them and showed them what other powers he possessed to push them back. Gin seemed unstoppable. A wave of peace that would prevent any conflict from happening on Runeterra. That was, however, until Gin's younger brother returned. The younger brother brought with him a strange artifact that broke through Gin's Sun Wall with no effort and then nullified all of his other powers. Gin was forced to retreat until his nation could not retreat anymore. Gin approached his younger brother and saw the artifact he brought with him. It also could harness the power of the sun and amazed Gin that his younger brother could use such a thing. However, this was no time for such matters and so, Gin walked slowly towards his brother. He offered his life to his brother if he would spare all who Gin failed to protect. The younger brother, with a lick of his lips, accepted this offer and, in a blaze of light, Gin was seemingly obliterated entirely. Both his body and soul seemed to have been completely destroyed. Gin's brother took Gin's throne and, surprisingly, honored Gin's offer. He protected Gin's great nation, but not through the peaceful ways Gin used. Gin's younger brother tore apart any who entered the nation and threatened it with claims of power. Gin, now a spirit, saw this, and was disgusted in this display of brutality. Gin's brother had trapped him in a plane of existence between the afterlife and the living, forcing Gin to watch his brother's violent ways. Fed up with such acts of violence, Gin approached his younger brother. With all of his might, Gin used what power from the sun he had left and brought his younger brother to afterlife with him. There, Gin imprisoned his brother for all eternity. After that act, Gin had to rest. He closed his eyes and fell asleep for a long time. Many years passed, Shurima going through many leaders. One day, Gin awakened and saw his nation was still somewhat functioning. Not the way he imagined it however. He saw a wasteland where violence was everywhere. He was disgusted to say the least. He approached his imprisoned brother and looked at the beast he had become. His spirit had mutated into something entirely different. A monster that even Gin hardly recognized. He awoke this beast and stole what power his younger brother had. With this, Gin killed two birds with one stone. He was able to send his brother to the afterlife and returned to the mortal world. In a swirl of golden light, Gin appeared. Without even needing the Sun Disk, he had ascended in his act of returning to this world using the powers of the sun. He opened his eyes and tasted fresh air. He felt the sand beneath his feet. He looked upon himself and saw something new. He was not a human anymore. He as an ascended being. At first startled, knowledge filled his mind and he understood that what had happened to him was a gift from the sun. Taking the appearance of an owl-like being, Gin began towards what appeared to be the new capital of Shurima. He saw many others approaching it as well. Perhaps there was a ceremony taking place, yes? He was a little confused about why they would hold a ceremony with such dark clouds on the horizon however. As Gin followed the people to the city, who they themselves wondered who he was, he could not help but feel the presence of something following him. Something that had noticed him leave the spirit plane he had returned from and wanted him to return. The thing he had freed his brother from. A mysterious shadow force that constantly followed him and forced him to constantly be on the move. Something that even he did not know what it was. Something evil.

If Gin is within 1750 units of the shadowy figure, a shadow link will be formed between Gin and the shadowy figure. Once this tether has persisted between Gin and the shadowy figure for at least 5 seconds, Gin will begin to lose 1% of his max health every second. The amount drained per second is doubled every 2 seconds that Gin remains tethered to the shadowy figure. Enemies who attempt to dash over the wall of sunlight will take 100/150/200/250/300 true damage and be slowed by 75% for 3 seconds when they pass over the wall of sunlight, the slow decaying over the duration. This wall will not damage or block the movement of minions or monsters, but will slow them by the same amount upon them passing through the wall. The wall of sunlight will persist until Gin dies. A maximum of 1/1/2/2/3 walls of sunlight can be active at once, the oldest wall of sunlight disappearing upon Gin placing a wall over the limit. Once the shield has been on them for at least 5 seconds, they will also gain 10/20/30/40/50 bonus armor and magic resist while the shield persists on them. Gin can use this ability on himself to gain a 100/150/200/250/300 shield and gain the bonus armor and magic resist instantly. Damage from the shadowy figure that follows Gin will pierce this shield. I wanted to make a Support that, unlike Bard, wants to roam all the time or else he will actually die. Also, one that can make permanent impassable terrain, allowing him to really shape the map. Gin is stupidly good at anti-siege and also supporting a siege, but not being the one to siege himself. However, seeing as Gin constantly has to be on the move, he cannot support a siege for too too long, only being able to help them before the shadows catch up to him. He could make a huge loop, but that is still him not staying there constantly for long. If combined with Azir, Gin can really become a major siege giant if Azir raises a turret at the enemy's inner tower, almost completely nullifying the enemy team's attempts at countering the siege without serious means of eliminating his obelisks. Feedback is appreciated, as long as it is constructive.
