Wanted to try my hand at a Volibear rework before his comes out. With the "Silence of the Damned" story, I wanted to try and capture Volibear's intense animosity while still keeping around a bit of his "lightning" theme. The goal here is more to capture Volibear from a flavor standpoint as this vicious god of war that is followed around by his "wendigo-like" followers. He changes those he conquers into wendigo-like beings that will ravage the world around them in an endless cycle of blood, fury, and carnage. And Volibear himself? Probably the most intense and durable Juggernaut to date.

BASE STATS AND KIT

Base Stats Health- 600 (+100 per level) Health Regen.- 10 (+1 per level) Mana- 325 (+35 per level) Mana Regen.- 6.5 (+0.5 per level) Armor- 34 (+4 per level) Magic Resist- 32.1 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 345 Attack Damage- 65 (+5 per level) Attack Speed- 0.68 (+3.2% per level) Attack Range- 150 (Melee)

Passive- In the Wake of The Volibear Whenever Volibear kills a large minion or large monster, the monster will be transformed into an intense abomination that follows Volibear, worshiping his might. Volibear ignores unit collision with abominations and his abominations will focus down whoever Volibear has basic attacked last. The abomination will have 45/55/65/75% of the minion or monster's maximum health, 60/75/90/105% of their attack damage, and will have their movement speed increased to become equal to Volibear's if their movement speed is ever below his. For each abomination following Volibear, Volibear gains 50/100/150/200% Bonus Health Regeneration, 7/8/9/10% Bonus Armor and Magic Resist, 7/8/9/10% Bonus Attack Damage, and 10/15/20/25% increased Size. A maximum of 4 abominations can follow Volibear at once, with the lowest health abomination being replaced when a new one past the limited is gained. Epic monsters do not follow Volibear. Killing an abomination rewards its killer with 5 gold. Levels: 1/6/11/16 Abomination Leash Range: 1150

Ability 1- Rolling Thunder Volibear focuses on the targeted enemy champion for the next 5 seconds, causing him to gain 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% increased movement speed, increased to 20/25/30/35/40% increased movement speed while moving towards the targeted enemy champion. During this time, Volibear gains 30/35/40/45/50% Slow Resistance and Tenacity, ignores unit collision, and he will knock aside enemy units other than the targeted enemy champion that he passes through, dealing (50% AD) physical damage and stunning them for 0.5 seconds. Upon moving within 225 units of the targeted enemy champion, Volibear will leap on top of them and begin to channel and maul them for the next 1.5 seconds, stunning them and dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+40/45/50/55/60% AD) (+4/5/6/7/8% Bonus Health) physical damage, applying on-hit effects, to them every 0.5 seconds. Volibear can cast other abilities during this channel. The channel is broken if Volibear is interrupted or his target is cleansed, but if it is interrupted before it has lasted for at least 1 second, half the cool down of Rolling Thunder is refunded. Cost: 55 mana Cool Down: 9 seconds Range: 1150

Ability 2- Wrath of the Ursine Volibear lets out a ferocious roar and causes himself, all nearby allied champions, and all nearby abominations to go into a frenzy, causing them to deal 5/7/9/11/13% increased damage and take 8/11/4/17/20% reduced damage for the next 5 seconds. Volibear's basic attacks during this time carve into his target's flesh, reducing their armor by 8/9/10/11/12%, stacking up to 3 times, and causing all healing they receive to be reduced by 60% for 4 seconds. Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana Cool Down: 45/40/35/30/25 seconds Range: 750

Ability 3- Blood Blizzard Passive: An icy storm constantly exists around Volibear within 1150 units of him, causing all damage dealt to enemy champions within it to heal Volibear for 7/9/11/13/15% of the damage dealt. Enemies can see the storm through the fog of war upon moving within 1400 units of Volibear. Active: Volibear calls upon the storm around him to empower him, granting him a (110/120/130/140/150% AD) plus 12/14/16/18/20% of his missing health damage shield for the next 8 seconds. While the shield lasts, Volibear's basic attacks will cause lightning to strike down on his target and enemies within 375 units of his target, dealing 20/25/30/35/40 plus 3/4/5/6/7% (+1% per 100 AD) of their maximum health as magic damage and briefly slowing them by 75% for 0.75 seconds. Cost: 75/80/85/90/95 mana Cool Down: 24/22/20/18/16 seconds (upon the shield breaking)

Ultimate- Eye of the Storm Passive: Whenever Volibear basic attacks an enemy, he gains 15/20/25% increased attack speed for 5 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. Active: Volibear causes his next three basic attacks within 6 seconds to rip and tear his target apart. The first basic attack deals 30/40/50 (+5/15/25% AD) bonus physical damage and slows his target by 20/25/30% for 3 seconds. The second basic attack deals 60/80/100 (+10/30/50% AD) bonus physical damage and grounds and slows his target by 40/50/60% for 3 seconds. The third basic attack causes Volibear to bite down on his target, dealing 120/160/200 (+20/60/100% AD) bonus true damage and permanently increasing Volibear's Base Attack Damage by 10. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 70/60/50 seconds

DESIGN Volibear is supposed to be a gigantic threat that brings the absolute carnage of war to the enemy. If Pantheon is the romanticized glory of war, Volibear is the revealed true carnage of war. He embodies the wrath of the ursine, is a true force to be reckoned with. Volibear's passive shows off Volibear's want to be worshipped, brutally forcing those lesser than him to worship him by force. He roams across the Rift with his warband, slaughtering those he comes across. Rolling Thunder has the same skeleton, except now Volibear singles out a target to charge towards before mauling them to death. Volibear's charge is now much harder, but not impossible to stop. The consequences for him reaching his marked target are very severe however, with him and his abominations dealing heavy amounts of damage to the mauled target. Wrath of the Ursine is an initiation tool Volibear gives to his allies to start a fight, as well as a boost Volibear can give himself and his horde to win in duels. Its use should be noted by enemies as Volibear is much stronger when it is off cool down. Engaging on Volibear when it is on cool down gives his attackers a severe advantage that can end in the bear's quick demise. Blood Blizzard is the bulk of Volibear's defensive tools and strongly bolsters his team fighting potential as well. Not only does the blizzard heal Volibear for a heavy amount, but activating the ability grants Volibear a strong shield that causes his attacks to strike down lightning on his enemies, dealing massive amounts of damage over time if his enemies can't crack his shield. Eye of the Storm is a three hit combo that deals an extremely oppressive amount of damage if Volibear's target sticks around for the full three hits. When combined with Rolling Thunder, this can quickly chunk down the target Volibear wants to make sure is dead. This combo also permanently increases Volibear's base attack damage, causing Volibear's godhood to be showcased in full force as becomes an extremely big threat to the enemy late game as his assaults become fiercer and fiercer.

What are your thoughts on The Volibear? The numbers aren't as important, Im most interested in feedback on the kit itself. Does this properly show off Volibear's might, or is it missing something? Thank you for reading by the way! I appreciate anyone who checks out my concepts!

Overall I'm not a big fan of the whole abomination-thing. I mean it fits his new lore, but turning him into a minionmancer feels like a really awkward change.

And I also think that his ult needs to be more impressive, I mean a bunch of empowered auto attacks don't feel that impressive. His E feels much more impressive and unique from a pure flavor-perspective, so I'd actually say that it would make more sense for an ult.
