Ýones·3/31/2017, 4:53:07 PM·7 votes·1,230 views

Only shadows of their former selves, Fercrux are an army of undead skeletons who seek for the living to join them in their eternal crusade. In game, Fercrux are a uniquely tanky army of indivitual squishy melee skeletons who struggle in small groups but can deal devastating sustained damage when they're united.

#Introduction

Salutes, comrade

It is your favorite concept-designer here bringing you Fercrux, the Cursed Horde. They are essentially 5 minions that can deal extreme amounts of damage when they reach their targets.

Also, I have done other concepts too if you mind. Groncle and Bubbs are good examples of my work, but here is a list of all of my concepts I have done. I'd appreciate if you took a look at them.

#Abilities

Passive: Army of Lost Souls

Innate: Fercrux are a horde of up to 5 Skeletons that each have their unique healthbars and stats.

When a Skeleton has its health regenerated to full health, Fercrux resurrect a new Skeleton that generates health over time. Killing an enemy champion resurrects a new Skeleton.

Skeleton: Stats:

  • Health: 395 (+ 83.6 per level)
  • Health regen: 9.62 (+ 0.55 per level)
  • Attack damage: 38 (+2.98 per level)
  • Attack speed: 0.65 (+ 0 - 43.3%
  • Armor: 29.1 (+ 3.00 per level)
  • Magic resist: 32.5 (+ 1.25 per level)
  • Movement speed: 325

Eternal Oath:

  • Killing a Skeleton grants a champion one fifth of a kill. (Kill 5 Skeletons at any time: 1 kill.)
  • Skeletons grant a 5th of their current bounty when they're killed.
  • All bonus health and offensive stats (AD and attack speed) have their effects divided by 5 on each unique Skeleton (for example: Black Cleaver grants [400 : 5 = 80] maximum health to each Skeleton).
  • Note: Armor and Magic Resist are not shredded.

LEFT-CLICK/DRAG

Indivitual Skeletons may be commanded by left-clicking a single one or selecting a group by dragging the mouse cursor. Select all with Shift.

Q: Ruthless Onslaught Cooldown: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 seconds Dash range: 600 (measured from all Skeletons)

Active: All nearby skeletons charge 600 units towards target location stopping to first enemy they hit, dealing 65 / 85 / 105 / 125 / 145 (+ 50% AD) plus 5% of the enemies' maximum health as physical damage, knocking them slightly back and slowing them by 50% for 1 second.

Enemies hit by multiple Skeletons will not take additional damage.

W: March of the Cursed Horde Cooldown: 11 / 10.5 / 10 / 9.5 / 9 seconds

Passive: Skeletons gain 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5% lifesteal.

Active: All Skeletons gain 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25% damage reduction and 25 / 27.5 / 30 / 32.5 / 35% bonus movement speed for 2.5 seconds. The damage reduction is increased by 4% for every Skeleton fallen in the battlefield.

E: Skeletal Slash Cooldown: 4 seconds Range: 250 (measured from all Skeletons)

Active: Fercrux cleave enemies around them, dealing 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 55% AD) physical damage and slowing nearby enemies by 35% for 2 seconds. Enemies that take damage from multiple cleaves take 85% reduced damage.

R: Return to Fercrux Cooldown: 150 / 115 / 80 seconds

Active: Skeletons begin channeling for 2 seconds. After channeling, Fercrux summon, fully heal and revive all Skeletons to target location.

##Gameplay Notes:

##Playing as Fercrux

Fercrux are an army of 5 "minions" who shouldn't ever be alone. They can deal devastating damage to squishies with not only their basic attacks but also a good W-Q-E combo. They can be controlled indivitually, meaning that some Skeletons can be assigned into any lane you want, maybe put 3 Skeletons in toplane and 1 to bot and mid.

The indivitual commanding can also help in teamfights; make Skeletons fight in the teamfight and make other Skeletons push a lane while they are busy. Fercrux bring a lot of unique pressure into the game because of its mechanics. If a player feels like they could use all the Skeletons avainable, Return to Fercrux can be used at will, when no enemies are nearby to cancel your channel.

#Lore

Alias(es): The Cursed Horde, Army of Undead, Crusaders of Oblivion Weapons/pets: Skeletons, Swords, Shields Genders: Male Race: Revenants (formely humans) Birthplace: Noxus Residence: Shadow Isles Occupation: Reavers Faction: Shadow Isles

Only shadows of their former selves, Fercrux are an army of undead skeletons who seek for the living to join them in their eternal crusade. Long ago, Fercrux were a Noxian legion who unwillingly gave up their mortality in the Shadow Isles to embrace undeath, and in the process they twisted into powerful undead warriors who became bound to the Black Mist's will.

During the times Noxus' empire was rising, Fercrux were a legendary company of knights who swore to protect the general's land. They endured the harshest training possible, a punishing regime that schooled them to be formidable warriors. The word of the army of five men spread quickly across Valoran, and so Fercrux became the symbol and demonstration of Noxian will, power and glory.

Fercrux's soldiers' lust for blood and glory had grown too fierce, and as their victory count rised, so did their ego. The lead of Noxus had talked about conquering the Blessed Isles into their command, but no soldier wouldn't ever want to go there, having heard of tales of the isles' corruption and The Black Mist. No army would go to a reconnaissance into the isles, but Fercrux were open for the challenge.

Fercrux had set their foot on the isles, but as the time passed, the mist had exerted its corruption into them. The mist eventually killed the Fercrux, resurrecting them as undead skeletal warriors, and as slaves to the will of The Black Mist. Their lives and power became bound to the mist; as The Black Mist grew or diminished in power, so too did the Fercrux.

##Return of the Fercrux

The Fercrux first re-emerged around the Battle of the Bloodcliffs. It was around this time that the undead horde established themselves in there and began to launch attacks against the city, which had caused the Bloodcliffs to fracture into 2 smaller cities due to infighting. Fercrux's first target was the western-city. After conquering the west and slaying the mayor, Fercrux returned back to the oblivion before returning the very next day, resulting in the death of a legendary Freljordian warrior, Fornos.

But the city of Bloodcliffs was not yet defeated, and it managed to maintain a line of defense along the cliffs. The city had lost many soldiers and were not able to defend their city, so a few months later, Bloodcliffs would be conquered by Noxus.

Few decades later came the attack on Frostheld. During this time, the Freljordian warriors told of seeing Fornos fighting amongst Fercrux, and seeing Black Mist covering the sky. It was the Harrowing, and the Freljordians were not prepared. During this time, Fercrux destroyed the watchtowers of the city before returning to ether. Frostheld managed to maintain its defense.

No one knows why the Fercrux targeted the Freljordian cities first, but they have later been seen attacking Shuriman and Zaunite cities as well, as well as going wherever the Black Mist travels during the Harrowing.

This is a cool idea, but it is also, by far, the least practical idea possible.

I'm going to leave the kit alone simply because the passive concept overrules pretty much everything else and is the core theme behind this, and is also why this will never work.

First, it's a really dick move to take a champion's worth of exp and gold out of the game, if I'm reading it literally. If I apply some common sense and say the last skeleton gives up normal champion kill bonuses, it's somewhat more reasonable - but only somewhat, since you can hide Skeleton 15 somewhere obscure anyways.

The skeletons can't lane. Period. Since all of them get CCed if any do, it's remarkably simple to catch them out of position and tear them apart. It's a target rich environment - there's no way you can miss a skillshot against that many targets.

Any AoE damage ruins them. 35% DR against AoE damage doesn't mean crap - if you hit two skeletons, you have a net gain in damage than if you don't, and if you can't hit two skeletons, you were either cherry-picking an exposed one or can't aim anyways.

You can't split up. The moment you do and any enemy CCs a stray skeleton, your main force is stalled. Riven wants to go in? Bot lane skellies are boned. Nami ults? Mid lane skellies are boned. Amumu ult-ganks mid? Every skellie is boned.

As a melee champion, you're exceptionally vulnerable to ADCs, especially in the late game where the Hurricane-favoring ones can kill skeletons in a single crit while also dealing collateral damage to your army. You'd get mowed down before getting any more than a few hits off - and that's pretending they don't have any CC or AoE. Which they...likely do.

The shared CC has all sorts of interesting fringe cases. Probably the funniest would have to be if Skarner ulted a skeleton - and in turn pulling the entire army on top of him. Knockback has other interesting implications.

Don't let this be your CCOS entry - this champion, while a pretty damn cool idea, is more likely to end up as a terrible joke character than anything else due to the myriad of weaknesses being 15 low-powered skeletons gives you. I'll keep an eye out for your stuff in the meantime.

Ha... I like it. There used to be an entire section of the boards dedicated to champ and item ideas. They used to care. Anyway:

  • Their cleave splash damage is intense. Despite the fact that any second splash damage on the same champion is mostly negated, simply having a Ravenous Hydra, Inifinity Edge and T-Force would make this basic ability able to remove most of their team on the initial splash. This is why they nerfed the same idea on Malphite.

  • The passive Lifesteal makes them heal for more than Warwick. Again with Ravenous Hydra and their E you would never actually kill them without CC stacking them to pieces. Even then they would survive it if they managed to hit someone once.

  • The numbers on Q are wayy too high. Also limit it to either a displacement or a slow.

I like the idea though.

Really cool idea but being able to control them individually seems unrealistic. I think it would be cool if they acted like a single champ but with separate health bars, kind of like Kled I guess. The power of their abilities could depend on number still alive. As far as the abilities, I think the Q would be cool if they did move through enemy units, damaging and slowing them type thing. For the ult maybe instead of summoning at a target location they could just revive in the immediate area doing a little damage and maybe granting some extra armor and MR for 5 seconds or something. Still a cool idea and we could use more shadow isles champs!

I am quite proud of the lyrics I quickly wrote around the Misty Mountains song.

Real cool! I like the lyrics. I sorta wish some of his abilities were a bit interesting. His Q, W, and E aren't that creative. I love the formatingbtw.
