how about a way to earn ip for the people that dont have alot of time to play?

hear me out here.

some people dont have enough time/energy to play more than 1 game of leauge even in aram after a day of work or whatever reason for it, as a result they fall so far behind IP wise that when they do have time for a full game in normals or ranked their champion pool is very limited.

it could take someone with limited playtime months just to get one champion that they liked after playing them in a free rotation if they cant afford to pay with real money.

so when i sat down to think about it i came up with the idea of a app that passivly earns a bit of ip every so often as long as the app is open (even in backround). (really rough numbers here) maybe 10-12 IP every hour open.

im sure there would be a issue with abuse and im not 100% on how to deal with this but a idea is to have the app disabled once you are logged on to the leauge client, its not fullproof but its a idea.

id love to know others thoughts on this

Any day you don't feel like playing/can't play at least 2 games, (given 50% win ratio) play a co-op with your main and just stomp it in 12minutes. You'll get 1st win bonus, and almost no time/mental energy invested.

And if you don't have enough time to play...I would assume you have a job? Request like 2-3 hours of overtime some week(end?) and buy a decent amount of champs with the extra pay from that.

They could do an app for a game like Pixel Poro or Cho'gath Eats the World that gives IP based on your score. So you could gain some ip while you're away from home or just have a couple minutes of free time and not 45min+ to dedicate to a full game.

But just an app that runs and does nothing would just be like...trading your phone's battery life for a couple ip, and add extra load to Riot servers and neither side is really benefiting from it.

Edit: BTW- 12ip every hour, even if you leave the app open 24/7 would take you 22 days to earn enough ip for a 6300 champ. And running a background app that connects to a server 24/7 would drain your monthly data pretty hard....and probably have to buy a new phone after 4 months of doing that. Buying a new phone every 4 months is gonna cost a lot more than the 5 or so champs you'd earn out of it...and if you go into overdraft with your data limit even 1 month it's gonna cost more than value of the ip gained.

People that play a lot get a lot of ip. People that don't play a lot and have to work can buy rp. time=money

The tribunal(if it ever opens again) will grant IP based on accuracy, but I'd recommend using bot games and the fwotd (first win of the day) for IP grinding
