Riot, people arnt getting sick of league. they're getting sick of the balance team.
the game has always had balance issues and always will but this is already out of hand and its only getting worse.
the game is only getting more frustrating to play.

Like why buff
...
He was already a 51 - 52% win rate, 30% pick rate adc.

The 'ayyyyy' Irelia Q buff gave me aids.
I am sick of LCS balancing bias, which damages the game for regular play, seems to be a misguided attempt to homogenize proplay to match regular play (oh boy, let's make watching others play even more boring), and detracts from the sense of competitive fairness because balancing around pro inevitably targets specific players and teams unfairly due to small sample sizes.
I honestly feel like some balance team people are not personally knowledgeable about the game and therefore draw opinions primarily from what they see in pro play, when they should rely on the overall gameplay data and should instead make an actual science of balancing objectively... They should also promptly investigate high champion ban rates and try to keep their biases separate, and respect the playerbase's "votes" in the form of bans on who we want nerfed or changed.
The balance team is a sort of quality assurance team, and should view their job as finding out (collecting data and feedback) what the players want and delivering/directing the desired changes. We want stronger turrets and lower champion damage output. We want longer, more strategic fights and less rampant burst. We have given this feedback consistently loud and long enough that the balance has no excuse to not be aware of what we want by now, so delivering it (doing their job) should be their sole priority.
Maybe you don't need to play a game to balance it, but you can't think you know better than the actual statistical data (which became public info with the Riot API) and overwhelming player feedback. Just balance from the pick/ban + winrate data to give us a diverse meta, and promptly investigate ban rates and player feedback, and you should be fine if you are competent. I don't want to hurt your (the balance team's) egos, but I honestly think I could design and code an automated system to replace you that would do a better job than you are currently doing... Maybe you need an automated system to free you up to just collect feedback fulltime and summarize the feedback for the rework team. A program can honestly balance better than a team of humans can.

Ghostcrawler litteraly said he doesn't need to play the game to balance it.
He didn't really make most balance decisions, he just set goals for the team that does.
Fire CertainlyT and we will see more balance in league 100%

He's a Champion Designer.
Sure, he's designed some huge mistakes (
) but It's up to the Live Gameplay Team to actually tune and balance the champions.
I believe the only balancing a champion designer has a say in is when a champion they've designed is being changed.
Jinxylord was involved in the last buffs Jinx received.
True people are getting sick of the balance team but the reasons they are getting sick are not universally the same thing. For every change they make that pleases one side they also piss off the other putting them in an endless cycle of dissatisfying players. All they can do is try to please as many people as they can because it is impossible for them to do any better.
It's impossible for them to do any better? OMG I just died laughing. Begone Riot apologist, you have no power here!
Was that your counterargument? I am going to hope that wasn't the best you had to offer because if it is you have a long way to go.

He's not wrong. Have you paid attention to how they balance? Every fucking time they nerf a really strong champ that's picked/banned in almost every game, they give a compensation buff for no reason at all or they don't even nerf what's making the champ an issue in the first place. It's like they're drawing shit out of a hat to see what gets changed. Then there's the champs that almost never get played ,except by people who main them, to the point that most people forget those champs even exist so they stomped because they don't know what they're dealing with. This causes the balance team to get the genius idea to straight up kneecap the poor bastards and these guys don't even get compensation buffs. So yes, the balance team's a joke and makes you feel sorry for the other teams that get hate by association.
2 right m8
better nerf tahm kench he was played so often and was doing so good -_-...
Tahm kench is annoying champion.. Too tanky I agree to this.
Tahm was #1 a few times this season, so its not that bad.
This, but unironically
He was quite contested in professional games.
Correction: They're getting sick of the MATCHMAKING algorithms .
Yeah. Balance team makes me want to quit so badly.
Still waiting for a nerf on yasuo tbh I think he deserves it the most or Akali.

Im pretty sure only boards don't like current state of the game. I haven't seen any relevant thread on reddit which would complain about balance for like a month. Also, i haven't seen any complaining in-game about state of the game.
Game is in pretty good shape now folks, but some of you still prefer to crybaby about AD assassins (which are pretty bad after wukong nerfs). That's shameful, there's a reason why boards are viewed as a joke in the community.
Reddit's purpose is to discuss the esports elements. Balance issues should never get so bad that even reddit starts talking about it.
You guys are just proving my point about boards being viewed as a joke in relevant community.
Maybe try to cry about ad assassins even more lul
Also, reddit's purpose it talk about league overall. It's not a r/leagueoflegends-esports. It's r/leagueoflegends
While that is true the mods over at the subreddit make it nearly impossible to directly criticize Riot because of their safe place agenda.
They are making it impossible to verbally abuse Riot, not their decisions. Boards threads like "what the fuck is balance team doing" surely are deleted, and that's good actually. But polite discussions about upsides and downsides of the meta are working without deleting anything.
Polite discussions and looking at different opinions doesn't happen on boards unfortunately

That's verbal abuse?? And I'm sure threads like those don't get deleted
Maybe the example isn't the best, but you can't deny boards are verbally abusing Riot in most of their threads
Because it immediately gets removed. And if you think that game is in a good sport right now ,you dumber than a balance team.
Reddit has been on states with a daily Hashinshin post on the top complaining about how useless top is and everyone bitching about balance team, Reddit was also filled with adc complains about post 8.11 and everyone bitching about balance.
Stop spreading lies and false narratives pretending that on Reddit is not allowed to bitch about balance, if right now there are not toons of threads about it is not because mods are removing these, it's because right now majority of Reddit has only a few complains about the meta.
Well, hashinshin did get them to push changes early even though the end result would likely have been the same and with THOUSANDS of followers, it's not easy to say "oh, he didn't say that" when a topic he makes gets removed
of course, he's not the best example for player opinion because he is angry like mad, but then again, a lot of people are for the random stuff that seems to go through "testing" and stays for some time afterward
100% total AD bonus to yasuo's ultimate, for instance. Even with no items, that would be around a 70 damage buff to it and with a standard build, that adds up to several hundred
Oh you mean how the PAx situation wasn't "That big a deal" expect reddit mods blocked people for 3 days straight from even mentionning PAX or DZK. Oh yea we should totally trust Reddit mods. Just like you should always trust the CIA when they tell you there are weapons of mass destruction in Irak... oh wait.
Lol no they didn't? Thread blew up hard and there were a lot of posts about both PAX and DZK, so i don't think you're right.
Also i'll always trust more reddit mods than boards user, considering how boards complain and how false their accusations are

Agreed
Except they did ban PAX and DZK as key words, for 3 days after the first post nothing else came up, there is a reason for that. I litteraly tried to post something about PAX and it never came up anywhere. It was shadow banned.
There was no reason to split in different threads i guess. You want to talk about PAX and DZK? Talk in thread about them, pretty simple. But there is some truth in your comment, they were deleting needless threads about them, which wasn't bad tbh, but you're still right.

To be fair, the Reddit side is so curated by the mods against any negative posts, even threads about major events are culled.
Just look at what happened about the PAX issue when it was making waves, the Reddit threads kept getting closed down because they were "too repetitive", even though that is what people were trying to talk about.
Reddit removes posts where people go apeshit and verbally abuse someone. Threads which are common on boards are no-go on reddit, which is good actually.
Also, yes, i know about that, but there was at least one very big thread about PAX situation which was on front page. They maybe went too far with deleting, but there was no reason to make multiple threads about one issue either
No, players are sick of the propaganda that aims to destroy their awareness for competition and teamwork to replace it with addiction and no values.
Riot Games knows very well that they can't make the game more fun when it's already balanced, but they still keep making promises. xD
Riot makes money off of the discontent and the internal fighting of the playerbase. It's in their name, no coincidence. It's all just a distraction. They are control freaks
If I may play the devil's advocate, how does pissing off your fans make you money? Perhaps poor teamwork lies not on the fault of the game creator, but the individuals playing?
I mean I would love to see supporting evidence for your theory, but until you can substantiate evidence for your claim, I am hard pressed to believe this is anything more than a conspiracy theory

The game is open ended you need to give more and more impulses to keep players engaged. That's exactly what Riot did. Players are led to expect anything but balance.
Riiiiiiight. Your argument has no supporting evidence, and your link only leads to you complaining about riot. Until you can provide true evidence to substantiate your claim I cannot support your claim

They are just useless worthless scum and they deserve to loose their job. Hope they wont have kids. I do not want people like them to breed.
You ok?
