My iteration of the Taric rework
Concept: Hard-counter against high AD comps, champion who allows the team to get plenty of defense and armor. Secondary role as a melee mage (Now that dazzle's fixed, the AP scalings can come back) Passive: no changes, I like the way his passive allows him to chain his CC and other abilities and create a low-CD flow. tl;dr: The same
Q: Stays the same tl;dr: The same
W: Taric gets reduced movement speed whilst charging his W, preparing for an AoE attack all around him. Depending on how long you charge, the intensity increases. It can go as high as three levels, sending out an extra wave of crystals for each charge. This ability no longer gives bonus armor passively. Concept: | 3 | 2 | 1 Taric 1 | 2 | 3 | So basically, the AoE gets larger for each charge. This ability has another effect other than just damage: the ability scales with AP and armor, also taking a part of Taric's armor when using it. The higher the charge, the more of Taric's total armor is taken by the ability. The armor taken from Taric is then multiplied by an amount and spread across all allies in the range for a reasonably long amount. Taric can basically serve as a 'buffer' who makes his teammates stronger right before battle. If used in battle instead of a pre-battle buff ability, this ability also has a slight slowing effect. It is no longer instant, it no longer lacks counterplay and it even has multiple uses now. tl;dr: It's like a channeled Nautilus W with a bunch of extra effects.
E: Dazzle now creates a flash in a cone in front of Taric after a short cast time, stunning the closest champion, the length of the stun depending on how close they are. Any enemies other than the closest champion only take damage from dazzle, and don't get CCed. Dazzle has an AP scaling (Taric gets waveclear!). tl;dr: This is like a small-scale Cassio ult/Annie W.
R: In addition to the current things Taric's R does, it gives a crystal shield to all nearby allies, halving the damage of the next auto attack that they take. Just imagine this in an early laning phase fight, where your ADC is dueling and almost dies, and manages to turn it around because you just gave him/her a shield. tl;dr: Like Braum shield but different
