[Champion Concept] Brokk, The Force of Greed
This champion is part of a project im working on to expand the lore and history of the Glade. The Glade is the realm of the Fae, where Lulu was taken by Pix. Not much is known of this world other then that it stands outside of time and is vastly different then Runeterra. I took it upon myself to create a new race and two new factions. For the whole story, take a look at my other Fae champion concepts :D Puck, The Adventurous Sprite, Trystain, The Fae Knight, Gullveig, The Wailing Witch and Juniper, The Forest Guardian
Name: Brokk Gender: Male Race: Fae (unseelie) Birthplace: The Faelands
**Lore: ** Goblins are a kind of Fae from the Unseelie court, and like their Unseelie brethren, they are trustworthy and honest. Many of them work as protectors of the vast riches the Fae nobility have amassed. If anyone touches the gold they protect, they will hunt them down to the ends of the earth to get them back… Brokk however…was different. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened before his birth that could account for the abnormal behaviour nor was he cursed. But even when he was young, the strong feeling towards gold that all goblins have, was corrupted in him. He didn’t see the gold as something to be protected, but as something that he wanted….and wanted badly. Many times did he sneak coins under his clothing or in his shoes back to his house. As he grew older, he grew more bold, stealing more and more and eventually even breaking into vaults and houses that he would normally never enter. Rumours started to spread of a Goblin stealing from the other Fae, but most of them just did not believe. Why would a goblin steal? Brokk did not know. He just felt the urge. Whenever he saw something shiny or precious he just needed to have it. And he felt no guilt in doing so. And with every haul he became greedier and greedier, until the small fry started to bore him. So he set his sights on the biggest collection of treasure and magic artefacts the Faelands knew…The royal treasury of King Oberon… The man was a bit greedy himself, and thus he had gathered magical items from all corners of the Faelands and even from the mortal realm to add to his collection. And thus, Brokk set out to pull the biggest heist he had ever dared to pull. The preparation took months, but in the end he managed to get into the treasury without much trouble. He had expected to see many a magical trap that would keep him away…but all he had to evade was guards… As he wandered through the vast space that was Oberon’s vault, his eye fell on a piece most unlikely to be there. It looked like a normal brown sack, no bigger or fancier then the ones used in storages. And yet it had an eerie feel around it. He approached it and held out his hand. Suddenly the sack started to shudder and Brokk pulled away his hand. The shuddering stopped. Brokk looked around and picked up a piece of gold from one of the many heaps that lay around. He aimed and threw it into the open end of the sack. The coin disappeared….but no thud was heard of it hitting anything. Again he reached out for a coin and threw it. The same soundless effect. Brokk scratched his head. He then walked over to a desk on which a big golden skull lay. He picked it up and moved it to the sack. Again he threw it in the sack, expecting to hear a loud thud….but again…nothing. He then realised what that sack was…It was a Faerie Bag…A magical sack that can hold and keep anything that you put into it. Greedily he grabbed for the sack and started throwing everything of worth into it, from coins to whole chests. It all fell seemingly effortless into the bag. Grinning widely, he knotted the sack and threw it over his shoulder. This would be enough for now, he thought. But as he walked to the exit, he felt magic in the area. Just as he walked through the big open doors, a whooshing sound was heard and he suddenly felt like he was falling. As suddenly as it had started, it stopped. He felt air rushing by his face and smelled trees and dirt. Sunlight almost blinded him. Where the hell was he? Suddenly, a bodiless voice rang through the area. “Happy now you greedy fool? I hope you got what you wanted…I can miss some gold and a magic bag…but you just lost it all…You are hereby banished from your homeland, forbidden to return. I hope you’ve learned your lesson…” It took some time before Brokk realised what had happened. He just slowly walked forward, still with the bag over his shoulder. Eventually he stopped. He had thought a lot about what had happened. Yet he was not sad…He had never fit in with the other Fae…This was a new chance…a whole new world with all kinds of treasure to steal. He grinned and padded his Faerie Bag. “Time to find some riches…”
Appearance: See picture This is NOT my art and i take no credit for it!! His voice would be higher (matching his stature) but raw. He has no evil intent but merely acts upon an urge and his voice should reflect that.
Quotes: (more will come)
Champion select: “They say money can’t buy happiness… I beg the differ…”
Moving: “Ooo…Shiny…” “I want it all!!” “Time is money!!”
Attacking: “If we kill them, we can have their stuff!!”
Jokes:
Taunts:
Auto attack: Brokk hits enemies with his Faerie Bag as he swings it from left to right (critical hits will show him swinging it over his head downward) for a medium range melee attack.
Passive, Treasure!!!: Brokk gains an extra resource bar called “Treasury”. His Treasury bar will start out with a maximum amount of 500. This will scale up with 25, every time Brokk levels up. All gold income will fill up this bar. Minion and small monster spoils will add 100% of the gold income to the bar. Big monsters and champion kills will only add 25% of that gold income. Absorbing an ability with Bag It and not reactivating the ability within 10 seconds will refill the treasury bar with 25% of the absorbed abilities damage. Brokk is in it for the money, gaining damage if his amount of gold is low. If he has 500 or less gold, he gains 20% (+10% AP) bonus magic damage upon his auto attacks. Less then 1000 will result in 15% (+10% AP), Less then 1500 in 10% (+10% AP) and from 1500 up he will do no more bonus damage.
Q, Money Shot: Mana cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 Active: Brokk fires a projectile from his Faerie Bag, dealing 75 / 130 / 185 / 240 / 295 (+ 70% AP) magic damage in a target direction. The projectile will damage all enemies hit, but every successive hit will deal 10% less damage. If Brokk has at least 10% in his Treasury bar, the projectile will consume 30% of his Treasure and will be made of gold, dealing 25% bonus magic damage and stuns the first target hit for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.
W, Avarice: Recourse cost: 100 Treasure per second Cooldown: None Active: Brokk coats himself with magically molten gold that hardens instantly and consumes 100 of his treasure per second. The gold gives him 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 (+25% AP) magic resist, 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 (+25% AP) armor and health regeneration per second (5% of max health). However, the gold also impairs his movement speed a little (-10%). While active, Precious Skin slows the movement (14% / 18% / 22% / 26% / 30%) and attack (17.5% + 0,5% per attack, maxing at 20%) of all enemies that auto attack or walk into Brokk. The effects last for 2 seconds, after which an enemy is immune for 5 seconds.
E, Coin Toss: Mana cost: 80 Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 Active: Brokk fires a flurry of gold coins into the air that will keep raining down upon an area with a 500 unit radius for 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 seconds. The coins will deal 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+35% AP) magic damage per second. If Brokk has at least 20% of his Treasury bar filled, this ability will consume 20% of his Treasure and last 1.5 seconds longer. Enemies killed within the AoE will reward 10% more gold and 50% more Treasure.
R, Bag it: Mana cost: 60 / 80 / 100 Cooldown: 60 / 50 / 40 Active: Brokk opens the Faerie Bag towards a target direction for 1.5 / 2.5 / 3.5 seconds. It then absorbs the first (enemy or allied) skillshot or targeted ability it comes into contact with and renders it completely harmless. Brokk can then reactivate “Bag It” to release the absorbed attack at a target (or target direction) and deals 100% of its original damage plus 15%/20%/25% of his own AP as bonus magic damage. The skillshot will also have the same effect as it had been intended for. The Faerie bag can hold an ability for 10 seconds.
