LORE https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/000/014/863/large/146578_905.jpg?1400192152 Artwork by Maciej Kuciara Myths, it must be what they are. For decades, Halshuur, the Defiler of Nature had disappeared from the city of Zaun. Even in a place where science was unrestricted, Halshuur's machinations were considered too dangerous to be allowed to continue. Experiments that could only be thought of in horror stories were conducted in the labs of the Chem-Baron known as Halshuur. His many followers believed in the philosophy that "life was made to be manipulated by those who dared to evolve beyond what was meant to be" just as he did. There were no boundaries to his experiments as he and his fellow scientists created horrific combinations of nature's once beautiful inhabitants. What was once a squirrel was now a bloodthirsty, eight-legged, arachnid-like beast that drained both the blood and innate magical substances of those it came in contact with. The lower slums of Zaun were constantly prey to Halshuur's experiments and after a complete massacre when a squid-bear combination appeared in the upper markets of Zaun, the other Chem-Barons did the previously unthinkable and worked together to put an end to Halshuur's danger upon the city.

A week after the squid-bear was killed, an explosion felt all across the city went off at the core of Halshuur Labs. While many feared that the labs' many inhabitants would escape and destroy the entire city, it was quickly noticed that there were no survivors of any kind. Everything within the lab was either turned to ash or suffered fatal burns. After an extended period of investigation, it was seemingly discovered that Halshuur, all of his followers, and their many experiments were killed in the ashes. The body of Halshuur was shown to all in the marketplace and, as a true testament to the man's image within Zaun, everyone cheered. That day, it seemed that there was a little less evil within Zaun.

However, recent rumors have caused many to fear that the body they were shown was improperly identified. Rumors speak of a hooded man bearing tentacles for arms creeping through the darkest alleys of Zaun, offering those with nothing a purpose. The once quiet corners of Zaun are now filled with untraceable echoes of beasts that many are certain do not exist in this world. Such rumors have stricken fear deep into the Chem-Barons. While it is true that the Chem-Barons constantly fought with each other for power, such a joining of efforts to bring down one Chem-Baron had never been done. If Halshuur had somehow survived the explosion they created, then they had created a monster that had nothing to lose but his own life. A powerful man that did not wish for wealth, influence, or power, but revenge alone. Seeing as Halshuur had plenty of time to figure out who had destroyed his labs, the many Chem-Barons were certain that he was coming for them all with a horde of creatures that would consume them: flesh, bone, and all. This only worsened their current situation as an insane, escaped prisoner from the prisons in the depths of Zaun was already hunting them all down. A few of them had already been killed by the anarchist and the prisoner showed no signs of slowing down. Halshuur's added weight caused many of the Chem-Barons to go many nights sleepless, unable to rest in fear of what might kill them in the night.

Rumors turned to facts when a giant, flying whale that secreted acid and had rows of shark-like teeth ascended from the bog resting at the bottom of Zaun and rained acid down upon the labs of the one of the lesser Chem-Barons in Zaun, known as Hazzal. His men were devoured in dozens and the few that dodged the ginormous maw of the flying behemoth found themselves melting away from the acid it had flung onto them. The few spectators that survived the massacre could swear they saw someone that was riding the beast. Someone with tentacles for arms and dawning a hood. Even fewer said that it looked like the person had multiple rows of glowing eyes, like a monster from a child's nightmare. Within a week, word had spread throughout Zaun of the event; Halshuur had returned. Many who had long sought after the former Chem-Baron's knowledge suddenly disappeared from society and many began to appear dead in the night with various teeth and suction cup markings all over their body. Fear gripped Zaun once again and, when flesh itself was being bent and manipulated to extreme degrees, many others flocked to Viktor, the Machine Herald. They believed that if their bodies could not be used in Halshuur's vile experiments, he would not pursue them. With a new found following, Viktor declared that, for the better of all of Zaun, he would find and end the life of this madman who hunted and killed those in the night.

Halshuur, deep in the darkest depths of Zaun, heard the rallying cries above as Zaun itself seemed to declare war on the threat below. In response, Halshuur decided it was time he truly revealed himself, and all that he had been creating, to the world. His "children" released cries that seemed to be both a roar to intimidate their foes and a cry for help to end their suffering. Viktor watched as the various abominations of Halshuur ascended from below, sending the city into a chaos never seen before. Gang wars had been tearing apart the city since it's founding, but this was something that had never been seen before. This was no skirmish. This was no petty squabble between two powers competing for money. This was a matter of life or death or worse. This was a civil war. A war between flesh and metal. A war between two ideals that were now fighting to allow the future to embrace their cause. As both sides charged at each other, Piltover glared down from above at the madness taking place in their sister city. Many powers within Piltover knew that a civil war in Zaun would eventually ascend to Piltover, but at the same time many other powers knew the profits that came with war. The city of Piltover became divided as well. A more hidden civil war began in Piltover, fought in the alleyways and in dark places. Whoever won this war would decide the evolution of Runeterra: the evolution of flesh or the evolution of metal. Riding upon the same beast that had destroyed Hazzal's labs, Halshuur cast his shadow upon the city of Zaun, and he made sure Zaun knew truly what the future held for it.

KIT Halshuur, the Defiler of Nature Main Role: Battle Mage Secondary Role: Catcher Health- 500 (+80 per level) Health Regen.- 8 (+0.6 per level) Mana- 370 (+45 per level) Mana Regen.- 9 (+0.6 per level) Armor- 25 (+3.5 per level) Magic Resist- 32.1 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 335 Attack Damage- 63 (+3 per level) Attack Speed- 0.64 (+2% per level) Attack Range- 150 (Melee)

Passive- Defiler Innate: Halshuur's basic attacks deal 25% bonus damage as magic damage to minions and monsters and slow their attack speed by 15/20/25% for 4 seconds. Whenever Halshuur kills a non-epic neutral monster, he is given a copy of their DNA. Halshuur can hold three samples of DNA at one time. Levels: 1/7/13

Ability 1- Rapid Mutation Passive: Halshuur's basic attacks restore 4/8/12/16/20 mana and heal every monster he currently controls for 3/4/5/6/7% of their missing health (healing a minimum of 12/14/16/18/20 health) when he attacks a monster. Active: After channeling for 3 seconds, Halshuur creates an abomination that is a combination of all three copies of DNA he is currently holding. The abomination has 355/365/375/385/395 (+100% bonus movement speed) movement speed, 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 attack speed, and 55/60/65/70/75% (+10% per 100 AP) of the combined stats of all monsters killed to gain the copies of DNA used in the creation of the abomination. The abomination will follow Halshuur, attacking the last target he damaged with either his basic attacks or Tentacle Poison, prioritizing enemy champions. Their basic attacks deal magic damage instead of physical damage. Abominations reward 5 gold to their killer. Abominations last until killed and there is no limit to the number of them that Halshuur can create, but abominations will begin to lose 20% of their current health each second if they are more than 1100 units away from Halshuur (losing a minimum of 70 health each second). If an abomination is more than 1100 units away from Halshuur and is below 20% maximum health, it will attempt to run back within 1100 units of Halshuur. Abominations ignore unit collision and, after not taking or dealing damage from or to an enemy champion or large monster for 10 seconds, will restore 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% of their maximum health each second. Cost: 55 mana + 3 DNA Samples Cool Down: 15 seconds

Ability 2- Tentacle Poison Active: Halshuur enhances his next basic attack to gain 250/300/350/400/450 bonus attack range, deal 15/25/35/45/55 (+10% AP) bonus magic damage, and apply a poison to his target for 4 seconds, dealing 10/15/20/25/30 (+10% AP) magic damage per second and slowing them by 10% (+2% per 100 AP). This damage is increased by 100% against minions and monsters, and half this ability's cool down and mana cost is refunded if Halshuur strikes a minion or monster with the enhanced attack. Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 mana Cool Down: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 seconds

Ability 3- Cytoplasm Barrier Active: Halshuur creates a barrier in a half-circle in the target direction that consumes the next projectile that passes through it, healing Halshuur for 6/8/10/12/14% (+2% per 100 AP) of his missing health in the process. The barrier lasts for 2 seconds before dissolving. Cost: 95 mana Cool Down: 17/16/15/14/13 seconds Barrier Width: 50

Ultimate- Constant Evolution Passive: Halshuur's own body mutates further as this ability is ranked up. Level 1- Halshuur's cloak begins to rip as his squid-like body begins to bulge outwards and multiple tentacles spawn all over his body. Halshuur's basic attacks now deal 35/55/75 (+20% AP) bonus magic damage and shred the magic resist of his target by 3/4.5/6% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 4 times. Level 2- Halshuur's cloak has all but been destroyed now, with only the hood remaining to cover his abnormally small head in comparison to his large, hunched body which is now piloted by a legion of tentacles instead of feet. His skin appears to be very pink and squid-like. Halshuur now deals 30/45 (+2% bonus health) magic damage per second to nearby enemies as he constantly lets loose poisonous ink, applying spell effects. Level 3- Halshuur's hood rips, his body grows even larger, and even more tentacles spawn all over his body. His face is revealed to be similar to that of a mix between a crab and a spider, with extruded eyes and venomous pincers that feed into a gaping, weirdly hollow hole where his mouth should be. Halshuur now ignores unit collision and reduces the cool down of Tentacle Poison by 40% if he uses it to strike an enemy champion. Active: Halshuur releases a mixture of poisonous ink and cytoplasm in the target direction, causing enemies in the target area to take 200/300/400 (+50% AP) magic damage and be silenced for 1.25 seconds. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 150/110/70 seconds Range: 600 AoE Radius: 200/275/350

GAMEPLAY PHILOSOPHY Halshuur can be compared to a few other "Summoners" in League of Legends, but he is much more strange and different in how exactly he summons his pets. First, it is much more difficult for him to summon a creature and said creature is usually not entirely worth the invested time when compared to other summons... at least, until later in the game. Once Halshuur has been given time to seek out powerful monsters and he has a few AP items under his belt, he can unleash truly horrific monsters of extremely large quantities to devour his opponents. It should be noted that, unless Halshuur has devoted literally the entire early game to developing an army, ignoring lanes and doing nothing but farming, it is unlikely he will ever have so many creatures for you to fight that it is near impossible to fight. There has only been one meta in the entire history of League that allowed for Junglers to AFK farm and still impact the game, so Halshuur's unlimited army scenario is not as threatening as one would imagine, especially since it essentially has a limit set on how quickly it can develop due to monster respawn times. Anyways, getting onto Halshuur in general, he is a summoner that combines the various creatures of the Rift to form truly monstrous specimens to seek out and destroy his enemies. His Passive allows him to quickly eat away at non-champion health bars and collect monster DNA for use in Rapid Mutation. Once he has killed 3 monsters, he can activate this ability to create a monster that will fight for him. Note that Halshuur can only hold 3 DNA Samples, so killing creatures beyond a third before he can use this ability will simply not harvest the DNA. This also means that Halshuur should be careful when it comes to the exact order upon which he kills his monsters, because only the first three will impact his next monster. In order to direct these monsters around, you can either simply basic attack something or poison an enemy with Tentacle Poison, causing your weird beasts to chase down the slowed target and gnaw away at them. Tentacle Poison can also be used to quickly kill a minion or monster as it deals double damage to them and refunds half the cool down and mana cost, meaning it can be used to VERY quickly cycle through the Jungle Grocery Store of DNA. The slow attached also allows Halshuur to very effectively make up for his Melee Range despite being a Mage since it both extends his range and puts on a rather potent slow on his target. This allows Halshuur to easily kite enemies, chase them, and slow them down for his little friends to catch up to them. Cytoplasm Barrier is Halshuur's lone defensive tool, allowing him to put a Windwall-like effect for a single projectile. This limitation is extremely severe when Halshuur is fighting multiple enemies as even a single stray ranged minion bolt can destroy his barrier. If it is destroyed, he will heal, providing him with some sustain if he has taken a moderate amount of damage. The barrier also has a short duration, meaning it has to be used when you know a projectile is on the way right then. His ultimate will allow Halshuur to perform a big burst at the beginning of a team fight, following up on his team's Tank's initiation. However, the big deal is actually the passive which provides Halshuur with a ton more sustained damage, especially once he has leveled the ability to Level 3. This makes Halshuur even more of a late game champion, essentially unlocking more and more passives as the game goes on. All in all, Halshuur is a Late Game Summoner Mage that has to be used with a ton of set up to be effective.

I really like this concept :)

I think my favorite part of your kit is the fact that he mutates with ranks in his ultimate :P

Only have a minor problem (my opinion obviously) with the kit and a possible suggestion:

  1. Minor problem: I think you have too much going on in the way of mana restoration, especially since it is not specific to lane or jungle. Since the jungle monsters are the unique monsters in the game, why not make this guy a jungler (fits his hiding in the depths theme) and remove minions from the equation?

  2. Suggestion: One of the coolest parts of your kit is the making abominations. I think since you are not going to limit how many he can have, you should instead say that if the abomination reaches more than X units away it dies, rather than it cannot go past X units. This would reward opponents for being able to make you retreat away from you attacking abominations as a form of counter play.

Thats all I got for ya :) Good work!

1 problem I have with this may be with evolution.

it kinda treads of Kha'zix's theme.

Whenever Halshuur kills a non-epic neutral monster, he is given a copy of their DNA. Halshuur can hold three samples of DNA at one time.

this part should not be in the passive unless it interacts with the rest of the kit.

Halshuur's basic attacks restore 4/8/12/16/20 mana

this can be put in the place of the above.

only Q has any interaction with the monsters that are created therefore it should be all on the Q.
