(Champion Concept) XL-387, the Noxian War Machine

LORE The relationship between Piltover and Noxus (and, due to this, Zaun and Noxus) has always been shaky at best. While Piltover has on rare occasion provided Noxus with powerful weapons of mass destruction through guns and various other advanced machinery, the power of Noxus has always demanded more for their war effort against Demacia and other nations they try to absorb into their legion. In recent years, due to a change in the leading power in Noxus, the relationship has become almost hostile. Multiple Noxian spies have been found in Piltover in order to illegally smuggle weapons out of the city and provide power for Noxus. Some spies have even been sent to simply inspect the access points of the city and how it is built up, hinting at the possible intent of an invasion by Noxus in the coming future. As the spring season came to Piltover, conflict was also on it's way. In a recent interrogation by Vi, an enforcer of the law in Piltover, with a spy from Noxus, it was revealed that Swain, the leader of Noxus, was planning to invade Piltover. Unless the spy was lying, this was fact. Caitlyn informed the higher powers within Piltover and, in a day's time, the city was in locked down. No one was entering or leaving the city without going through a long process of checks and questions. A single message was sent to Noxus in order to confirm what was happening. If the message was not returned within a week and a half's time, Piltover would destroy all it's connections with Noxus. The message was received and responded to immediately. The spy, as it turned, was not entirely lying. However, they were not telling the truth either. The city of Piltover was something Swain had planned to take under his wing in due time, but only if they did not join him peacefully. In his response, he wrote, in a rather unworried style: "In times of war, all must make a decision on who they side with. There are those who side with Demacia and those who side with Noxus. This especially applies to your city. As a city of vast trade, it is doubtful that Piltover is not providing for both sides of the war effort. This is not acceptable in the eyes of Noxus and must be dealt with. You will either side with Noxus or be considered an enemy. I would recommend you choose wisely." The upper powers of Piltover were disgusted with this decision. This war was between Demacia and Noxus. Why should the world have to change itself to be black or white? Before any rash decisions were made, Caitlyn made sure everyone in the room realized that Noxus was a powerful nation. Even if Piltover could win a fight against them, the victory would be bitter. The city would be in ruins and much progress towards the future would be lost. After much thought, Piltover came up with an idea. In order to sate Noxus' desires, they would grant Noxus a powerful weapon that was unmatched on the battlefield. Only Piltover would have the means to defeat it, and even then the best they could do is disable it if it came near the city. Seeking knowledge on how to create a weapon of mass destruction of this scale, Piltover sent for inventors of Zaun to aid in this construction. Inviting Zaun would also allow Piltover's neighbor to be clear from Noxus, meaning Noxus would not have to potentially bring harm to Piltover by waging war against it's neighbor. Plus, Zaun was known for how dangerous some of it's creation could be. Months went by and, eventually, the weapon had been created. It was the greatest mechanical weapon that mankind had ever created. Swain himself visited Piltover to see the behemoth when it was revealed. The creation, modeled after the the reborn Sion (an idea thought up by a few of the twisted minds of Zaun), clunked out to meet it's master. After a quick inspection, the weapon was deemed acceptable for the deal between Piltover and Noxus. Piltover would remain neutral in the war at the exchange of this immense weapon. As it sailed away with Noxus' naval army, the greatest minds in Piltover wondered if what they had done was right. Just what had they unleashed upon the world? The first battle between Noxus and Demacia with this giant war machine present answered this question. They had unleashed death. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/1/14/Blood_Rippaz_Gargant.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20111011053810 Named XL-387, now painted and refined for the Noxian cause, this huge machine now clunked it's way towards Demacia. By not having to use magic, the machine would remain unhindered against the Demacian army. Even the shields of the greatest warriors were blown to bits by the powerful missiles unleashed by XL-387. Piltover might had just given Noxus to the key to the complete annihilation of Demacia.

Thank you for reading and feedback is appreciated! XL-387 is meant to be a giant machine of war that it's team gathers around. It is a symbol of victory that both protects it's allies and obliterates it's foes through sheer near invincibility. XL-387 is incredibly durable and provides it's team with a moderate amount of protection, but lacks in damage and mobility, two things that often allow for team's to make plays and for a character to carry a game. Basically, while XL-387 is really hard to kill, you'll likely be hard pressed to find one directly carrying the game without help from it's team. It's ultimate encourages it's allies to all gather together and unleash a storm of fire upon their enemies when a fight starts, dealing massive damage without taking any themselves. If the enemy can get through XL-387's shield, then the real fight starts, but with XL-387's team with an advantage. The rest of the time, XL-387 is simply protecting the valuable members of it's team with a barrage of missiles and tons of health.
