Character Concept: Decaar, The Glitch
I should first say that my design philosophy is rather straight forward. Everything has a tradeoff. The higher any particular stat is (mobility, damage, defense, etc.) the lower other stats will be as well, some more than others. A character designed for teamfights (aoe damage and effects) can't handle the 1v1 rather well and vice versa. A character who can take a beating can't at the same rate dish it out without taking hits to their mobility. High damage means a higher likelihood of dying from a passing slap to the face. And so on.
Also, I don't design characters that end fights in a matter of seconds and expect multiple rotations of ability to be used in order to take out an opponent. No design of mine ever one-shots or half healths at early to mid-game and even at late game it takes a bit of work to secure a kill on one's own. Outplay's occur when players have time to react and adjust, rather than just a split second before getting blipped from the map.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if an arcade had a meltdown and from the ashes spawned a strange being made purely of electricity and wanted to show others what it meant to feel its pain as it wanders a world it doesn't belong in? Well, look no further.
Decaar is a sentient being that emerged from an arcade machine short-circuiting and he is kinda freaked out by his existence in the outside world and wants to show others what it feels like to be in multiple locations at once. He's a strange disruptive teamfighter that messes with the locations of enemies and causes the world around him to glitch out. While he doesn't do tons of damage, he can make life a living hell for his enemies as he repositions them for his team's sake. Numbers can always be changed.
(Warning. I use the word glitch a lot.)
Passive- Glitch Out- You randomly glitch out, becoming undamageable and everything passes through you for 1 second.
Q- You're a Glitch - In a cone, damage enemies and make them glitch to your location. Deals more damage per enemy glitched. Ex. The enemies will be pulled towards you, but they will have your passive for like .2 or whatever seconds.
W- Glitchy Projection- Send to a location a glitchy image of yourself for a time that attracts nearby enemy minions. Reactivating this causes you to blink to it and deal damage plus additional damage per taunted minion and enemy skillshot that passes through it.
E- Glitch Floor- Blink to a location, creating a hole at your start and end positions. Enemies that pass over it port to the other side and are damaged based on how far they traveled and are stunned. This happens once.
Ult- Glitch Zone- Cause a large portion of the world around you to become glitchy. While you are inside, you Glitch Out more often and your right-clicks blink you to the location or enemy so long as it is within. Enemies inside take 1% of their max hp as true damage every time they are damaged (only once for dots).
Well, there you go. He jumps around the place and shares his glitchiness with the world, not that anyone asked for it. His damage is best with multiple enemies and his mobility is pretty good. Catching him is difficult but like any good developer, you just gotta keep trying to catch it. Once he is caught with his code down, he can be killed rather easily as he isn't meant to be tanky and he has to really invest in damage in order to be useful beyond disruption as his cd's are substantial. If he was built like a tank, he'd just exist in the fight after he uses his abilities and brings nothing else.
Anyway. If you liked it, cool. If you didn't, hey. At least it's not in the game.
