(Champion Concept) Hashat, the Void Bender
LORE https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/e/ec/Void_Icathia.png Art by Riot Games When Malzahar first visited the ancient city of Icathia, he glimpsed a dimension of unseen horror and unimaginable violence. Monsters and beings of unknown strength and structure, feeding off the energy of the worlds to sustain themselves. This dimension was the Void, a wasteland of living weapons that travel from one reality to the next, devouring all in their path. When Malzahar glimpsed such a place, some say his sanity broke and he gave in to the voices whispering dark prophecies into his mind. After such, Malzahar created a cult to slowly bring the Void into Runeterra, summoning horrors that only the patients of asylums could imagine. However, summoning Void creatures is no easy feat. It requires unimaginable energy and power, meaning Malzahar was forced to search out the most powerful mages and summoners in all of Runeterra. As luck would have it for the insane, Malzahar already knew of a childhood friend that had such gifts. They were within him from when he was first a child and he was known now for performing tricks in the streets of the few cities within the Shuriman desert for money. When Malzahar came for Hashat, his friend did not recognize him at all and found him incredibly disturbing. When Malzahar offered him oblivion, he refused. Mysteriously, Malzahar did not seem to refute or argue at all. He accepted his friend's wishes and seemingly left the city. However, that night, when Hashat entered the tent he was sleeping in between two of the structures within the city, dark voices visited him in the night. Hashat was unable to sleep, thinking of the mysterious appearance of his friend. What had befallen him? Dark voices whispered malicious thoughts within Hashat's mind, beckoning him to reconsider his friend's offer. He argued with them as if someone else was within the tent, with others within the city believing him to be mad as they passed by. When the moon began to be covered by clouds and the city fell dark, the true nightmares began for Hashat. Monstrous, crab-like creatures entered his tent slowly crawling towards him and climbing all over him. A mysterious figure seemingly appeared out of no where behind him and covered his mouth so that he could not scream. A quiet whisper told him to not speak and simply let the voices he was hearing overcome him. The hand was lifted from his mouth and blood-curdled screams filled the night as the flesh was stripped from Hashat's skin. When warriors brave enough to venture out to see what was going on made their way to Hashat's tent, they found nothing but blood-soaked belongings and chunks of flesh scattered around on the sand floor. As a chill ran down the spines of all who were witnessing such a scene, the distant sound of laughter could be heard from outside the city. The warriors, now believing there to be a madman within their city, were filled with anger and rushed to the origin of the laughter. However, what they found was an effigy of their darkest fears awaiting them outside the border of the city. A man that was covered in what seemed to be a dark liquid that slowly flowed across hid body, seemingly defying gravity as it flowed down to his feet and back up to his head, slowly turned his head to reveal who he was. Hashat, who had let the whispers take over him, revealed his flesh-ridden face to his guests before the liquid covered his face, hiding all facial features. Crimson eyes that seemed to bleed whatever energy they were made of opened where Hashat's eyes used to be and glared at the warriors. The men were frozen in place, unable to move in fear of the mage that was in front of them. The clouds above began to let loose a barrage of rain, except it was not any rain that they were familiar with. It was the same dark liquid that covered Hashat's body and wherever it touched, it began to burn holes though it's victim. Hashat began to laugh again, reveling in the suffering of his former neighbors. The city itself was now a ghost town after a flood of the dark liquid had consumed all within. Malzahar approached his friend who stood in the center of the empty town. The dark liquid began to soak into the sands of the desert, filling it with Void energy. Now the only things remotely human that could be found within the city were Hashat and Malzahar. Once again, the Void Prophet offered his friend oblivion. With a wide grin, Hashat accepted his offer, seeing now the power that could be his if he accepted. With that, both of the insane Void worshipers left the city, leaving behind only memories of the people who used to dwell within the city. Hashat now works with Malzahar to summon powerful Void creatures into the world of Runeterra. All that can be found of those who attempt to stop them is the blood on their walls of their house and a pool of dark liquid where their body was most likely burned to a crisp before being devoured by the monsters that will one day destroy all of Runeterra.
KIT Hashat, the Void Bender Main Role: Battle Mage Secondary Role: Catcher Health- 487 (+78 per level) Health Regen.- 3 (+0.25 per level) Mana- 415 (+55 per level) Mana Regen.- 9 (+0.75 per level) Armor- 18 (+2.75 per level) Magic Resist- 30 (+0.5 per level) Movement Speed- 335 Attack Damage- 56 (+3 per level) Attack Speed- 0.62 (+2% per level) Attack Range- 550 (Ranged)
Passive- Void Mending Innate: While Hashat is standing within a Void Torrent, he will begin to recover 1/1.5/2/2.5% of his missing health each second and gain an additional 15/25/35/45 (+3% AP) bonus Armor and Magic Resist. Prior to reaching Level 13, this healing will be halved if Hashat has been out of combat for at least 3 seconds. Levels: 1/6/11/16
Ability 1- Void Torrent Active: After a 0.625 second delay, Hashat creates a Void Torrent in the target area, causing enemies within to be silenced for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s). The Void Torrent will last indefinitely, but will disappear if Hashat moves more than 600 units away from the center of it. Enemies that stand within a Void Torrent will take 18 (+4 per level) (+20% AP) magic damage each second, ignoring 15/20/25/30/35% of their bonus magic resist and applying spell effects. If two Void Torrents touch each other, they will combine into a larger Void Torrent that is 150 units larger than their current AoE Radius. A Void Torrent can be no larger than three times it's normal size (450 AoE Radius) and any Void Torrents that touch a Void Torrent already at maximum size will stop their current movement so that their edges do not overlap. Void Torrents that would combine into a Void Torrent larger than the maximum size will act the same, stopping their current movement so that their edges do not overlap. Cost: 35 mana Cool Down: 16/14.25/12.5/10.75/9 seconds Range: 500 AoE Radius: 150 Leash Range: 600
Ability 2- Surging Corruption Passive: Void Torrents will deal an additional 1/2.25/3.5/4.75/6% of an enemy's current health as magic damage to enemies inside them. Active: Hashat causes all Void Torrents to move 300 units towards the target location, dealing 45/60/75/90/105 (+20% AP) magic damage to enemies they pass through and slowing them by 75% for 0.5 seconds. Cost: 45 mana Cool Down: 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds Range: 775
Ability 3- Dispersing Corruption Passive: Void Torrents will pierce an additional 5/15/25/35/45 of their target's magic resist. Active: Hashat causes all Void Torrents to move 300 units away from the target location, dealing 45/60/75/90/105 (+20% AP) magic damage to enemies they pass through and slowing them by 75% for 0.5 seconds. Cost: 45 mana Cool Down: 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds Range: 775
Ultimate- Void Split Passive: The distance the center of a Void Torrent can be from Hashat and not disappear is increased by 75/125/175. Active: Hashat sends a bolt of Void energy in the target direction, dealing 50/100/150 (+35% AP) magic damage and Grounding enemies it passes trhough for 1.5/1.75/2 seconds, inhibiting the use of Movement abilities. Void Torrents that the bolt of Void energy touches will split, dealing 50/100/150 (+35% AP) magic damage to enemies within them and silencing them for 1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Void Torrents that split will split into the number of Void Torrents that combined to make it. Normal sized Void Torrents hit by the bolt of Void energy will pop instead of split, causing Hashat to regain 6/8/10% of his missing mana and causing the Void Torrent to disappear. 300 AoE Radius Void Torrents will split into two 150 AoE Radius Void Torrents with these Void Torrents moving 300 units away from the center of the previously whole Void Torrent they spawned from. These two 150 AoE Radius Void Torrents will split to the left and right of the direction the bolt of Void energy came from. 450 AoE Radius Void Torrents will split into three 150 AoE Radius Void Torrents with these Void Torrents moving 300 units away from the center of the previously whole Void Torrent they spawned from. Two of the 150 AoE Radius Void Torrents will split to the left and right of the direction the bolt of Void energy came from, while the third will split in the direction the bolt of Void energy came from. Bolts of Void energy cannot split Void Torrents that have already been split by the same bolt of Void energy or Void Torrents that are currently moving due to Hashat using Surging Corruption or Dispersing Corruption. Cost: 90 mana Cool Down: 17/15/13 seconds Range: 775 Projectile Speed: 1075

GAMEPLAY SUMMARY
Hashat is a Battle Mage that relies heavily on zoning his enemies with his Void Torrents while using his abilities carefully to combine his Void Torrents into larger Void Torrents so that he can zone enemies in just the right way from all the right angles. He can then disperse them for a burst of damage and crowd control while also allowing him to set up different placements for his Void Torrents afterwards. He is an incredibly difficult champion to play to maximum effectiveness, but relatively easy to make minimum use of right off the bat. Correct positioning and Void Torrent movement is critical to success. The standard combo for Hashat to typically try and make use of is to use Surging Corruption and Dispersing Corruption one after the other to perform a quick burst of damage to the unfortunate enemies caught in the path of the Void Torrent as it goes forwards and back to where it used to be. However, more creative uses of the ability open up an infinite number of possibilities that become more and more realistic as Hashat gains more Cool Down Reduction. Eventually, a good Hashat can effectively chase his enemies with Void Torrents to constantly drown his enemies in the dark liquid his Void Torrents are made of before bursting them down with a nice Void Split. In the late game, Hashat acts as an incredible siege engine for his team that can protect them by allowing them to stand in his Void Torrents while other Void Torrents torment enemies sitting under tower range. This makes him an incredible champion to bring against dive-heavy team compositions and with teams that rely more on poking the enemy down from far away. Overall, Hashat is not someone who will quickly rush down an enemy and obliterate them. He prefers much more to slowly drown them, all the while reveling at their attempts to escape or kill him like the crazy bastard he is.
When playing against Hashat, while he may seem incredibly difficult to approach, it is good important to remember that Hashat's Void Torrents disappear if he is forced away from them. Enemies with strong displacement abilities or enough brute force to force Hashat to sacrifice his Void Torrents to retreat will be able to overwhelm him and force him into very unfavorable positions. Also, should you have the range for it, you can also simply attempt to poke Hashat down from a range he cannot damage you with his Void Torrents from. Beware treading down this path however as Hashat will will regenerate health while he is standing inside a Void Torrent, meaning you better have some heavy hitting and constant enough poke that he cannot just regenerate back the health he lost.
