LORE Lost in the Kumungu Jungle during the old Rune Wars and sworn to a nation that no longer exists on the map, only in legend, Cholerax was a devout general of a long lost nation that resided near the current location of Piltover and Zaun. During the ancient Rune Wars, battles were short lived and left catastrophic craters in their wake. Cholerax, fighting for his nation in the Kumungu Jungle, also known as the Plague Jungle, was there when a World Rune left the landscape around him completely evaporated. When such chaotic, malevolent magic coursed through the Kumungu Jungle, something was born. A plague that now prohibits normal entry into the jungle by humans. However, Cholerax was not as fortunate as his brothers in arms, as he was not killed by the explosion. The lone survivor, Cholerax awoke a day later underneath a pile of what seemed to be ashes. This would later turn out to be a pile of bacteria. The crater that was left by the World Rune had transformed into something else entirely. As Cholerax awoke, he found that what was covering him was the only thing between him and what could only be described as a lake of pure corruption. Water flooded down onto him, seemingly drowning him. However, oddly, Cholerax continued to live despite clearly having his lungs and body filled with the strange juice that had filled the crater.
Slowly emerging out from the water, Cholerax wandered the Kumungu Jungle, lost without any navigator to lead him back to his nation. His body was not what it used to be. He had... changed, someway or another. When he opened his mouth, liquid flooded out in seemingly endless supplies. When he moved, he left a trail of the juice which he should have drowned in. His body had been corrupted to a point that was beyond what could be called "living". Cholerax was neither dead nor alive. The strangest part was no necromancy was involved. Something else had taken control of him. The old Cholerax wasn't there anymore. He could only let out moans and groans as he marched endlessly through the jungle. Flies and various insects followed him extremely large swarms, picking away at his body. Eventually, no blood was left for the insects, but they continued to drink. The liquid within Cholerax was found nutritious to the insects, but corrupted them as well. Soon, any insect that had once resided in the entire Kumungu Jungle was found following the moving corpse that was Cholerax.
It seemed like the jungle itself wanted Cholerax to stay within the jungle as he wandered aimlessly through the vines for years and years without end. His body did not age or hunger. He did not feel any emotion, save for one: maliciousness. The bacteria that was within the juice that flooded into Cholerax's body had taken control of him. Cholerax had become one with the bacteria, and it had taken control of every part of his body. His stomach, arms, legs, and even brain, all belonged to the bacteria. The insects that followed Cholerax were too controlled by the bacteria. The bacteria was sentient, yet only had one goal, and that was to spread. However, all of the bacteria could not leave Cholerax. His body had been mutated by the World Rune and a small chunk of it's constantly resupplying and twisting energy was left inside of him. The bacteria could not live without constantly consuming the energy given off by this small, bottomless supply of energy within Cholerax. Wherever Cholerax went, the plague followed.
It seemed like fate that the nation that had risen where Cholerax's old nation had resided developed suits that would allow them to traverse the Kumungu Jungle. These suits would be the cornerstone for later creating a cure to the plague that inhabited the jungle, but that is not the focus of the coming events. Three men entered the Kumungu Jungle and would leave, but not alone. Something had followed them out of the jungle after being lost within for so long: Cholerax. After setting up camp to rest before continuing on their journey back to Piltover, one of the explorers was bitten by a fly. Within the next few hours, all three of the men would collapse onto the ground and die, not having their suits on. Within minutes, Cholerax arrived and analyzed the dead bodies before making sure nothing was left behind to analyse by anyone else. He picked up one of their suits and found it agonizing to touch. The suit was covered in some material that withstood Cholerax's bacteria. However, the bacteria simply could not have such a simple solution to itself. A swarm of various insects began to slowly circle the suits, slowly adapting and becoming immune to the effects of the suits. This took several weeks to occur. All the while, Cholerax stood still and waited. Eventually, the flies were able to touch the suits and felt no harm. Adaptation had been a success. Cholerax had also adapted and, in a sad effort to make himself not obviously corrupted and monstrous, put on one of the suits. Unfortunately for him, after a mere day, all but the most durable parts of the suit had begun to slowly melt away from the juice he continuously leaked.
The field that had surrounded Cholerax's victims was now barren, all of the crops having melted away into goo. The farmers that previously lived there left upon noticing the ginormous swarm of insects near their field. Those farmers died a die later. After raiding the farmer's house in an attempt to find any living organisms to spread to, Cholerax would come across an incredibly large scythe. It was incredibly complex and mechanic, likely having been bought from Piltover or Zaun. As if it was destiny, the scythe did not melt or decay away at all when Cholerax touched it. Now dawning a more lethal weapon, the bacteria headed towards what it's flies had detected to be the nearest pocket of civilization. Within days, the village was completely destroyed and turned into a ginormous pile of goo and decaying buildings. Wherever Cholerax went, this was the result. Wherever he went, death and despair soon followed with the power of a World Rune behind it. None could escape the Plague Harbinger.
KIT Cholerax, the Plague Harbinger Main Role: Juggernaut Secondary Role: Warden Health- 625 (+100 per level) Health Regen.- 11 (+0.9 per level) Mana- 225 (+35 per level) Mana Regen.- 7.5 (+0.75 per level) Armor- 31 (+3.75 per level) Magic Resist- 32.1 (+1.25 per level) Movement Speed- 325 Attack Damage- 62 (+4.5 per level) Attack Speed- 0.575 (+1.33% per level) Attack Range- 200 (Melee)
Passive- Infection Innate: Cholerax is the source of his own Infection Aura around himself, which causes enemy units near him to be given 2 stacks of Infection once every second. This effect stacks up to 100 times. At certain thresholds of Infection, the target will weaker. Once the target has 20 Infection, they will receive their first debuff and will begin to emit a smaller Infection Aura around themselves. 20 Infection- The target is slowed by 2.5%. 40 Infection- The target is slowed by 2.5% and is applied Grievous Wounds. 60 Infection- The target is slowed by 5% and is applied Grievous Wounds. The target's health regeneration is disabled. 80 Infection- The target is slowed by 5% and is applied Grievous Wounds. The target's health regeneration is disabled, and their Armor and Magic Resist is reduced by 15%. 100 Infection- The target is slowed by 7.5% and is applied Grievous Wounds. The target's health regeneration is disabled, and their Armor and Magic Resist is reduced by 25%. Cholerax's basic attacks and abilities deal bonus magic damage equal to 1% (+1% per 100 AD) (+1% per 100 AP) of the target's missing health (max of 100 versus monsters). Enemies cannot lose Infection while inside of Cholerax's own Infection Aura. Once they have left Cholerax's Infection Aura and have been out of it for at least 4 seconds, they will begin to lose 5 Infection each second, reduced to 2 Infection each second if they are moving. If the target has not taken any damage for the last 8 seconds, they will lose an additional 3 Infection each second. While inside another units Infection Aura, their Infection cannot deplete but it will immediately begin to deplete upon exiting the unit's Infection Aura. Visiting their allied fountain will cause them to have 25 Infection depleted each second. Cholerax Infection Aura Range: 500 Enemy Infection Aura Range: 300
Ability 1- Pillar of Plague Active: Cholerax cannot move or basic attack (but can use abilities) for the next 2.25 seconds, during which the ground around Cholerax begins to glow green and emit gas. After the 2.25 seconds are up, the ground within Cholerax's Infection Aura erupts towards the sky with green gas, causing enemies within the area to take 50/75/100/125/150 (+70% AD) (+50% AP) magic damage and be applied 30/35/40/45/50 Infection. Cholerax is healed for 10/15/20/25/30 (+14% AD) (+10% AP) health per enemy hit, reduced by 50% for minions and small monsters. Enemies with 100 Infection before this ability hit them take double damage from this ability. Cholerax can cancel this ability once at least 0.75 seconds have passed to refund half the mana cost, but not deal any damage/healing and put the ability on cool down. Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 mana Cool Down: 9/8/7/6/5 seconds Range: 500
Ability 2- Rotten Reaping Active: Cholerax's next three basic attacks within 10.5 seconds deal 4/4.75/5.5/6.25/7% (+1% per 100 AD) (+1% per 100 AP) of the target's maximum health as bonus magic damage (max of 75 versus monsters) and apply 2/4/6/8/10 Infection each. If Cholerax hits the same target with all three basic attacks, they will be slowed by 99% for 3.5 seconds, decaying rapidly over the duration, and cause them to generate 1 additional Infection each second while inside his Infection Aura for the next 6/7/8/9/10 seconds. Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 mana Cool Down: 14/12.5/11/9.5/8 seconds
Ability 3- Lord of Flies Passive: Cholerax is followed by a swarm of flies and various other blood sucking insects, causing enemies within his Infection Aura to take 8/11/14/17/20 (+10% AD) (+5% AP) magic damage each second. This effect deals 2/4/6/8/10 (+2% AD) (+1% AP) bonus magic damage for every 20 Infection the target has. Active: A massive swarm of insects engulfs Cholerax's Infection Aura for the next 4 seconds, causing enemies within to be dealt 30/35/40/45/50 (+20% AD) (+15% AP) magic damage each second, and be applied 3/4/5/6/7 additional Infection each second. If the target has at least 50 Infection, they are also applied nearsighted while within his Infection Aura due to the flies getting into their eyes. Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 mana Cool Down: 23/21/19/17/15 seconds Passive Range: 500 Active Range: 500
Ultimate- Epidemic Active: After a 3.5 second delay, all enemies with at least 20 Infection will pulse out a wave of bacteria from their bodies, causing them and nearby enemy units within their Infection Aura to take 12/15/18% (+1% per 100 AD) (+1% per 100 AP) of their current health as magic damage (max of 500 versus monsters). The damage from multiple Infection Auras will stack. Enemies damaged by another units Infection Aura will also be applied 30/40/50 Infection and slowed by 75% for 1.5 seconds. The Infection and slow from multiple Infection Auras will not stack. Cost: 125/150/175 mana Cool Down: 195/180/165 seconds Range: Global AoE Radius: 300

STRATEGY
Laning Phase Cholerax is a big dude with a lot of issues. However, being a pest for his enemy is not one of them. Even being near the guy will hamper his opponent, meaning that Cholerax wants to really put on the pressure for his dance partner in his lane. Constantly applying pressure through Pillar of Plague and Rotten Reaping will cause Cholerax's opponent to have to decide between waiting out and missing some farm or taking the Plague Harbinger head on to try and push him back. One thing is for certain, if the enemy doesn't do it quickly, they won't be coming out of the fight the same way they went in. They will be stacked with Infection, forcing them to sit still and recover for a bit before heading back out. This gives Cholerax some time to farm in peace or, if the enemy decides to engage without waiting out the storm, gives Cholerax the advantage in their next fight. However, Cholerax begins to fall behind when the enemy is able to perform hit and run tactics against Cholerax, abusing his slow nature in order to out-maneuver the behemoth and secure themselves an easy kill. If Cholerax can't predict his opponent's movements correctly and consistently, he will be seeing a grey screen for a good deal of the early game.
Mid-Late Game Cholerax transforms into a center piece for teams built to compliment his strengths. Teams that can benefit from abusing the enemy's position or manipulating it can allow Cholerax to unleash catastrophic amounts of damage to the enemy team and have the entire enemy team succumb to his plague through Infection. Lord of Flies becomes an incredibly important ability in team fights, allowing Cholerax to blind the enemy team and force them to use what they had been seeing before they entered Cholerax's swarm of flies to aim their abilities and hit Cholerax and his allies. Lord of Flies' near-sight effect is primarily useful for Cholerax's allies since Cholerax will want to be in melee range and within even the enemy's heavily reduced vision range. However, long range allies can have their exact position remain an enigma to the enemy team as long as Cholerax keeps them within his insects. Once Cholerax believes the time is right, he can use Epidemic in order to either force the enemy team to separate or take astronomic amounts of damage. Late game, if Cholerax can hit the same target with 5 instances of damage from Epidemic, there is a decently high chance they will be reduced to extremely low health if not instantly killed. This threat will always keep the enemy team on their toes and force them to make sure to limit how much Infection each of them have so as to not allow Cholerax to accomplish such high amounts of damage.
End Game As the game comes to an end, Cholerax will be a true menace to the enemy team, more so than any other point of the game. His mere presence brings doom for the enemy team, causing him to be a prime target for enemy crowd control and damage. It is a smart idea then to purchase items that reduce the effectiveness of enemy crowd control and damage so that Cholerax can continue his onslaught. Also, items that can counter the enemy's higher defenses will allow Cholerax to really beat up the enemy team. Liandry's Torment when combined with Rylai's Crystal Scepter has great synergy with Lord of Flies, allowing Lord of Flies to become a blender for Tanks and squishy targets alike. However, in the end, proper use of Epidemic will be how Cholerax leads his team to a victory. Using Epidemic when enemies are unable to separate apart in time, such as when they are all stunned or slowed, will always result in a large amount of damage being dealt to them, allowing Cholerax's team to quickly end the team fight.
CHANGE LOG
May 11th 4:44 PM EST
Passive- Infection
- Reworked the decay rate. Now passively decays after a delay of leaving Cholerax's Infection Aura, decreased while moving. Depletion is increased after not taking damage for a while. Depletion is interrupted while inside another units Infection Aura (that isn't Cholerax), but will start again immediately upon exiting.
Ability 2- Rotten Reaping
- Damage changed from 25/40/55/70/85 (+10/12.5/15/17.5/20% AD) (+16/17/18/19/20% AP) bonus magic damage per attack to 4/4.75/5.5/6.25/7% (+1% per 100 AD) (+1% per 100 AP) of the target's maximum health as bonus magic damage per attack
- Hitting the same target with all three attacks will now also cause the target to generate 2 Infection each second from Cholerax's Infection Aura instead of 1 for the next 6/7/8/9/10 seconds
Ability 3- Lord of Flies
- Base Damage increased from 25/30/35/40/45 to 35/40/45/50/55

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed and were thoroughly grossed out by Cholerax. His overall theme and story are based on the Death Guard in Warhammer 40K, which are my favorite army to play as besides Orks. Any feedback is appreciated as long as it is constructive. Thank you!
CCOS I have reviewed my neighbor IKratosKlayton's concept known as Genom, the Goblin if you would like to check out their concept. It's an interesting take on a few concepts that have been passed around over the years, but not many have really nailed them down as good as he has here. I would recommend giving it a look!
