Riot, whenever Leona's next skin comes out ....

Can it revolve around a unique theme rather than what Leona has been given beforehand? Don't get me wrong, I love skins like Pool Party Leona and BBQ Leona because they're great and they stand out, but when you have so many other generic "Knight" themed skins, it doesn't do the champion any justice.

Something like this is amazing because you can still recognize Leona, yet this skin makes her fleshed out as this radiant warrior with good detail, yet not overdoing the amount of details so you don't lose the quality when zooming out. Her hair and shield especially are astounding because it's so nice to look at without feeling similar to any of her (or any other champion's) designs.

While they aren't bad per say, they're pretty bland. Granted, most of these are old skins but the creativity is pretty dull here. She has a surfboard as a shield, her skirt / battle gown is literally the towel you bring to the beach. Stuff like this is nice, and I definitely admire the effort in making the skin stand out. But now, let's look at the difference between PROJECT: Leona and PROJECT: Vayne, just to get my point across.

The problem stems from Leona looking like a generic bodyguard that's part robot / cyborg, with nearly all her armor a silver plating except for her shield, and even her sword + shield is pretty meh. Meanwhile, Vayne's got multiple colors going on from purple and black, to a nicer tone of silver. Even her armor doesn't mostly look silver- it has a design to it with her body having multiple patterns. You can SEE the details, the lines, the plating having each distinct look rather than Leona's typical armor that looks almost all the same except for the headpiece.

What i'm asking is, if you ever decide to make Leona a new skin- avoid making her look like the typical bodyguard / guardian we keep getting. Think of creative ways in making her shield stand out, her body ... it doesn't have to be bulky or in heavy armor. I'm dying for a new Leona skin myself, and really hope we see one this year. I don't find what she has bad though, but they do lack some diversity but that can happen with older champions being they are back when we just used to have a lot of Recolors or Lower Quality themes. Now we get some much better high-quality themes and even more diversity within recolors (chromas)

Like over in SMITE, Goddess, Athena recently got a Mystic Guardian themed skin which is their version of the Star Guardians https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Ba1RnjBbqz4/maxresdefault.jpg and I have always loved the idea of something like that on Leona.

I just want an aggressive skin for a change. Leona's base armor should look more like iron solari imo, can't stand the base skirt. BBQ was dissapointing as hell honestly. Iron solari's ult vfx alone makes it one of her best skins. The armor is cool, the shield is cool. The sword and splash could use some love tho. It keeps the lower amounts of armor while getting rid of the awfull skirt. Maybe some more gold would fit leo better tho.

this does exactly what i want. The theme isn't something i absolutely adore, but the sword stands out, it looks like an important part of leona.

i'd ofcourse be down for sun knight leona

To be fair, Iron Solari is a themed skin for Targon that is no longer in conjunction with the recent directions they've pushed Targon. When she gets a VU/VGU whenever that may be, I can only imagine that her skins will be pushed in different directions - after all, she's from an age where there wasn't a ton of skin diversity, so that's why most of her stuff is so similar.

Whilst I agree she could use a little more mystical skins, I don't see much issue in any of her current skins.

They all fit her theme nicely.
