This, this is what we'll be getting for reaching Gold? I know the skin is free for those who've climbed to Gold+ but, holy christ Riot. Not to sound like an ungrateful twat, but that is the worst skin i've seen in a LONG time, it's actually really sad because I know you guys usually nail skins for the majority of the time. ** YOU PLACED MORE EFFORT INTO AN APRIL FOOL'S SKIN THAN A VICTORIOUS SKIN, LIKE WHAT???**

The spell effects actually look great. I'd like to see the modeal tweaked a bit though.

I don't generally understand what's wrong with the model either. I mean relatively. There are a lot of skins which are IMHO overpriced, their particles looking blunt or more like recolors, uninspired model etc., so I mean it more in terms of -> compared to any other skin, the model seems okayish.

So what exactly is bad about the model? I mean, is it the cloth-piece, the lion-thing, the armor, the head, the gun?

Also, not that it would excuse it If it's really of such bad quality, but If they did indeed put "less resources" into it it's because there are the different chromas for different queues.

EDIT: One interesting bit of feedback I found is that the gun and pauldron look too plastic. Maybe darker yellow closer to gold and more metalic shiny effect would help.

The cloth-piece for sure, that very bright purple doesn't really fit that skin, a red or dark-green (what the chroma did really well) looks more royal to me, and that's what these victorious skins are supposed to represent, right, royalty?

But all of this is my opinion so don't bash me for it.

Well I believe purple is the symbolic colour of kings so that's probably what they went for. But I would indeed prefer the black one, too.

That isn't really a thing of skin quality, though. But I agree, while it is nice to see exactly what year in what queue player achieved Gold+, binding champs and colors to years/queues isn't something I like. They could make it so that If you reach Gold+ you get Victorious Token that you can redeem for any Victorious skin you don't yet have, per queue you get Royal Token you can redeem for Chroma for Victorious skin you own.

The model itself is fine.

The textures just look bad, like the lowest settings bad. Like someone turned the shadows off of something.

I agree. I think the colors are way to vivd and bright and its making everything look cheap. If there was some depth (make this dude look like he's been on the battlefield! rub some dirt and ashe on him) and better contrast, it would look a lot better. Everything is like a solid color so it just looks flat and plastic-y

There's another issue. If the hair was more Graves-like that might be another complaint. There are people who feel like this looks too much like Classic Graves so it reminds some people Graves Chroma rather than skin on its own.

But that's what everyone says every year about the Victorious skin. Last year Victorious Maokai was the worst. Next year's Victorious skin will also be "the worst".

However, i do agree that the skin feels cheap. Riot just don't want to put enough effort into a skin that they're not gonna make money from.

I guess the 1350RP Blitz skin with the 1350RP chroma was more important.

It has some great particles tho, and the model itself isn't that bad. I personally feel like most people, his textures lack visual depth and he is overall too shiny. Maybe if they darkened the colors a little bit and added some shine to the metallic details of the skin it would be pretty much good to go. The only thing I absolutely CAN'T STAND is the hair. The skin is pretty clean in general, which I don't really like on Graves but also don't consider it such a big deal either. The hair, however, is awful IMO, and added to the bright palette of the skin it makes him look like a discount prince charming (is he smirking, too? if that's the case, then I feel like that should go along with the hair)

Does anybody know how does chromas and queues match up? I assume the purple one is solo/duo, as its the one showed by default. Also the blue one probably is the all-queue gold+. Can't really figure out the white and the black ones.

It's important to note that this is pre release, and that riot actually does tons of tweaking to skins when they come up on pbe and when they come up on live. If you go through skin spot lights channel and look at many different skins pre release vs full release you will see the differences in quality. Personally I think this skin looks pretty good though, and I don't doubt this will be a great looking skin by the time they are done with it.
