is it just me or does shen need a rework

Shens a good champion but considering the new roster and remade champions i believe the "tanky" ninja is in need of a tune up

Here are my thoughts

Cooldown: 10 Passive: Ki blade : Shen wields a blade materialized from his own resolve and is able to manipulate it with his abilities. After casting a ability Shen's Ki blade remains at the target location to be used in subsequent abilities, this blade can be recollected to grant Shen Empowered Effects based on the ability used to before recalling his blade.

Range: 800 Cooldown: 8/7.25/6.5/5.75/5

Q Twilight assault: Shen commands his blade to move to a target location dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+40% Ad) adaptive damage and slows all units along its path by 15/20/25/30/35% for the next 3 seconds.

Shen can recast this to recalls his blade and draw it causing him to block all physical damage projectiles and basic attacks for 2 seconds. After drawing his blade Shens next 3 basic attacks become Empowered for 8s gaining 85 bonus range and deal 10/20/30/40/50/60 (at lvls (1/4/7/10/13/16) plus 2/2.5/3/3.5/4% (+1.5% per 100 Ap) of targets maximum health as bonus magic damage.

on recall if the sword collides with an enemy champion it slows them by 15/20/25/30/35% for the next 3 seconds dealing 10/15/20/25/30 (+ 20% AD) Adaptive damage, enhancing the empowerment effect dealing 2% (+1% per 100 Ap) of the targets maximum health as bonus damage and grants Shen 50% bonus attack speed while attacking the slowed unit.

Twilight Assault deals double damage to monsters, up to a maximum of 75/100/125/150/175 bonus damage.

Range: 400 Cooldown: 18/16.5/14/13.5/12

W Spirits Refuge: Shen channels more of his Ki into the blade creating a 400 unit wide zone that and pushes away all surrounding enemy champions to its outer edges and blocks all vector base magic damage traveling into it for 2 seconds and grants 20% increased regeneration to all allied units inside it radius. after the 2 seconds the sword heals all units still within 400 units for 50% of all the damage it had blocked. if no units are in range of the sword this effect is delayed for the next 4 seconds until an allied unit comes in range. (this ability stops dashes, skill shots and ranged auto attacks but not melee or empowered autos.)

Recalling the sword after activating this ability grants Shen 20% bonus life steal for the abilities duration and shreds the armor of all enemy champions it passes through for 4 seconds.

Range: 600 Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10

E Shadow dash: Shen dashes in a target direction, Taunting all champions and monsters collided with for 1.5s and dealing 50/85/120/155/190 (+12% of his bonus health) Physical damage to them.

If Shen dashes to his Blade he immediately reclaims it and instantly refreshes the cool down of Shadow Dash. Upon reclaiming the Ki blade in this manner or while dashing Shen gains 20% bonus critical strike chance for the next 4 seconds.

Cooldown: 200/180/160

R Stand United: Shen transports his Ki blade to a target Ally granting them a shield for 5 seconds that blocks 175/350/525(+130% ability power) damage scaling up to 280/560/840(+130% of ability power) based on the target allies current health (40% max health) then Shen channels for 3 seconds to transport himself to his blade and stuns all enemy units within 500 units of their location.

with these changes it makes Shen a far more versatile champion to be played in the various roles and makes him more suited to dueling and assassinations, as well as making him a more thought based champion that can rival his counterpart (Akali Irelia Kennen Talon Zed Yasuo )

That's too drastic. Shen would just be abused in pro play and nerfed to Kingdom come.

Stop spamming.

Hmm... I think the Q might be a bit overloaded. And even tanks need some outplay potential, so blocking all damage instead of just basic attacks might be a bit much. It'll also make enemies just ignore him during teamfights. I think making Q just move the blade and deal damage and slow anybody it passes through and recall the blade to empower his attacks is good enough. However maybe lower it down to his next 2 attacks. As he uses energy so long lasting abilities don't work well(no point if he can't drain his energy down to 0). And scrap the enhanced enhanced autos(interesting in concept but not that fun in practice, they already take more damage from having the sword pass through them). Increased damage to monsters is probably fine, to encourage lane diversity.

Change his W to having the knock away effect upon blade collection, so it pushes enemies to the outside, since E taunting enemies while pushing them away is very strange. Make the W only block basic attacks, for longer like 2-4 seconds depending on rank, as this is more unique than invulnerability/spell shield imo, and this gives him some downsides/counterplay. Healing effect SHOULD be fine, I suppose. Raptor camp will heal him quite a bit :P

Just make E reduce all basic cooldowns by 25% if he dashes and collects the blade, with the taunt + damage + range this should be enough for play making.

Make him passively restore energy whenever he collects his blade, like 10-20 per time. To help him manage his energy which he should be using more often now.

R should stun AS Shen arrives, it is already pretty good for instantly helping someone survive so it doesn't need an instant stun at their location as well.

If it is changed to something like this then I think it'd be good. Not overly familiar with Shen right now though, hardly see him get played.
