Champion Concept: Melleren, The Unforgiving Finisher

I made a champion concept like this on my alternate account, but I am still more of a fan of AP. So here we are! I now we have two new melee champions that scale off AP, but I want MORE!

Lore: Not made

Base stats: Melee (Long Sword) Think longer range melee, like 200. It will make sense when you read the passive. Also uses no mana.

Passive: Tip of the Blade - Melleren's sword does extra magic damage based on how far away the target is from him. So if Melleren uses his basic attack, it will do more damage the farther away the target is from him, so you want to be maximum range away from things when you attack them.

Q: Setting Up - Melleren makes an upward slash in a direction, dealing magic damage and knocking up all enemies hit. Think like a mini third Yasuo Q with more range and no tornado, just knocking up enemies with the sword. This is meant to be a simple damage dealer and his only form of CC.

W: Lunging Strike - Melleren jumps in the air in a direction, becoming unblockable, until landing and slashing his sword in a circle around him, dealing magic damage. It's kind of hard to describe what this would look like, just try to imagine it. It would be able to go over some walls.

E: Counteract - Melleren stands still for 1 second, concentrating. If an enemies attacks Melleren, Melleren dodges the attack, taking no damage, then blinks to the source of the attack if it is in range, dealing magic damage. This ability went relatively unchanged from the original post I made. It is a very different type of ability that makes a nice engage.

R: Finish them all! - Melleren dashes to an enemy champion, pointing his blade. This deals true damage that executes them, dealing more damage based on their missing health. If Finish them all! kills an enemy, it can be cast again in the next 3 seconds, for a maximum of five uses. THIS DOES NOT DO RIDICULOUS DAMAGE! But it is meant to clean up the fight when you are barely behind. Think like full AP builds dealing 800(idk) damage when they are that low. It has to be timed properly to finish off all of them.

What do you guys think? I really want some comments and some real feedback here if you read through the champions abilities.

When you say "Long Sword", I suppose you mean "Really Really Long Sword". Like, Cloud Buster Sword level length. All in all, the passive is vaguely interesting yet still requires fine tuning. I'd say making the range as long as is reasonable for a melee champ is important, to make it clear when he is dealing most damage and when he is at his minimum threat level. It's a cool mechanic, but there's one problem: other champs will walk into melee range to trade autos. The result is a mildly kitey champ who has to constantly reposition for his damage output to stay high. Think of it as a Draven-esque minigame: it would take some mastery. Following this trend of keeping the opponent at bay, Setting Up is a really good idea as well. If the range is decent, it would probably let Melleren get an extra max range auto in at least. Depending on the cooldown and knockup duration, this could be a really vital and engaging part of his kit. A+ The W is pretty standard in my opinion. For clarity's sake, what did you mean by "unblockable"? Is that like untargetability? If that's so, the cooldown on this skill would have to be severely gated. Untargetability is a really tricky thing to balance. Overall, a decent chase and/or escape tool which fits into his kitey gameplay. The E is a bit of a weird one. Assuming it works against spells as well (Does it? Please clarify), it could become an abusive reactionary skill. Still good, fitting nicely with that distance-focused gameplay. This guy's a better fencer champ than Fiora! The Ult is every Darius player's wet dream. No comment. I can see that, while you didn't stretch any boundaries, the gameplay around Melleren's passive is engaging and well thought out. If you can figure out an awesome character to go with this kit, that would be so cool :) Keep working on it! Reviewer, away!summoner 4
