Varus - Arrow of Retribution

Before I begin I just want to say that I believe Varus needs a Visual update, he's base skin looks really outdated not to mention Varus was released back in season 2.


Passive:


Dark Pact

Varus has access to 2 unique items in shop, one of which he must choose. When one is chosen the other will no longer be available for the remaining game. The chosen item will be permanently placed in the inventory slot where an option to sell it won't be available.


Darkin Bow

The bow gives Varus bonus Armor Penetration and Magic Penetration that scales by level. At level 1 Varus will have 1.38888889% penetration for both armor and magic, by level 18 Varus will have 30% armor penetration & 30% magic penetration.


Mortal Essence Bow

If Mortal Essence Bow get's picked Darkin destroys the bow that he was trapped in and uses it's pieces to shape a different kind of bow to his liking. He creates a Mortal Essense Bow that he uses to trap Varus soul in and takes over Varus'es body as a host.

The bow grants lifesteal meaning that with each basic attack Darkin gets healed, as well as bonus healing from all sources.

At level 1 Darkin will have 1.66666667% lifesteal and by level 18 Darkin will have 30% lifesteal.

At level 1 the healing bonus that Darkin gains is 0.19444444% and by level 18 that bonus will be a total of 3.5%.


Q: A Dance with Death

Cost: 50 / 60 / 75 / 90 / 125 mana Cooldown: 15 / 13 / 11 / 9 / 7

Varus or Darkin Fires an arrow at a high range that goes through all units.

Physical Damage: 75 / 180 / 255 / 375 / 425) [80% AD] this ability does 50% less damage to minions.

If Varus casts this ability he gains a extra range of a total 1925, and can have the ability channeled for a total of 4 seconds.

If Darkin casts this ability the channeling time is halfed, and the speed of the arrow is also faster. Channeling time 2 seconds and the speed of arrow is 2000.

If a enemy dies to this ability the mana cost is returned.


W: Adrenaline Rush

Range: Current Attack Range

Varus

Attack Speed: 20% (25% bonus) bonus Movement Speed: 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 bonus

When enemies are within Varus attack range, Varus gains bonus movement speed and bonus attack speed. The movement speed buff is doubled when Varus is below 30% health.

Darkin

Attack Speed: 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% (45% bonus) bonus Movement Speed: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 bonus

When enemies are within Darkin's attack range, Darkin gains bonus movement speed and bonus attack speed. The attack speed buff is doubled when Darkin is below 30% health.

This buff can also be applied if Varus or Darkin kills a minion or a jungle monster but only lasts 3 seconds.


E: Blight Arrows

Cost: 3 charges 22.5 / 25 / 27.5 / 30 / 32.5 mana per charge (at max level, 3 charges cost a total of 97.5 mana). Cooldown: 6.5 (per 1 charge), 10 (if 0 charges left) Range: Current Attack Range

If all charges are used it goes on a seperate 10 second cooldown.

Fires an arrow (1 arrow at a time) in a direction that also applies on-hit effects.

Mixed Damage: 70 / 125 / 150 / 170 / 225 [50% AD] [50% AP]

When Blight Arrows hits an enemy they become currupted from the inside that slows them for 35% for 2 seconds that also applies a grevious wounds debuff.

This abilities range scales with the current Varus'es or Darkin's range.

If an enemy dies to this ability a charge is gained.


R: A Sense of Agony

Cost: 100 mana Cooldown: 125 / 100 / 80

Varus fires a tandril of curruption from the Darkin Bow or Darkin throws a tandril from his bodies curruption in a direction.

Magic Damage: 175 / 275 / 375 [100% AP]

If an enemy is hit by this and are rooted for 2 seconds. On impact, the tendril seeks out nearby enemy champions and forms a tether to them. If the tether isn't broken within 2 seconds, they are rooted as well. Tendrils will continue to spread until there are no champions in range that have not already been affected.


Looking at this kind of kit, I imagine that he could be built like this in a way... (

Note: Due to the passive item, only 4 items can be purchased).

Been putting this for quite some time, drop your thoughts down I want to see some opinions, thank you for taking your time to read all of that I know it might appear like a bit much.

Also shoutout to this artist who made this bloodmoon splashart (Dante09). I really like how Varus appears.

Kit looks really cool and unique but to me, the ult just seems like it was ripped directly from Urgot. I would like Varus/Darkin's ult to be a version of his current ult, but do keep the max health damage if you feel like it.

Also, and if i'm reading this correctly, Mortal Essence Bow makes Darkin's basic attacks deal 100 bonus damage and heals himself for the same amount. Seems a little too broken to me, maybe you could change it to life steal? That i would be ok with.

The new passive is interesting. The pen/life steal might be a bit too much for a passive... though... would it take an item slot, I imagine it must. In which case, probably fine. Though maybe the item could also have his W old passive.

I like the W, gives him a more reliable steroid.

I think the rest of his kit in live is fine, though.
