So, Abilities are occasionally renamed, right?

Like how Corki's innate was renamed Hextech Munitions from Hextech Shrapnel Shells. 'Cause munitions is a lot cooler and logical than Shrapnel Shells. Anybody open to some similar changes, 'cause I got a few ideas...

Anivia Frostbite (E) > Snap Freeze: Why? 'Cause it deals more damage to "chilled targets" and frees up the word "Frostbite" for another champion who might actually put it to cool use (maybe like a Iceborn Wolf character)

Ezreal Rising Spell Force (Innate) > Ascendant Legacy: In Patch V4.16, Ezreal received an updated lore which suggested that his amulet once belonged to Ascendant. One such Ascendant (Azir) once had an ability that increased his attack speed in proportion to his cooldown reduction, i.e. how quickly he flings spells―kind of like the thematic behind Ezreal's own innate.

Kassadin Void Stone (Innate) > Phaseshifted: Okay, what the heck is this Void Stone? It's never mentioned in his lore, but as I see it, it might've been the artifact that set Kassadin on his path to find Icathia. Still, if the stone is in fact nothing important, then what's the purpose of it? Phaseshifted just sounds a lot cooler in my opinion; instills the sense that Kassadin isn't all here, y'know?

LeeSin Cripple (E) > Humble: Being a monk and a cripple himself, it's difficult to believe that Lee Sin Lee Sin would knowingly cripple a living being. Yeah, you can argue he clearly doesn't have a problem with killing people, but I think Lee would rather teach people a lesson if he can help it.

Malzahar** Summon Voidling (Innate) > Call of Madness:** Such. A. Bland. Ability. Name. Where's the flavor, where's the style? Olaf's Q could just be called "Chuck Axe", but I think we all agree that "Undertow" is richer. Strengthen those ties to Lovecraft Mythos!

Sona Crescendo (R) > Fortissimo: Sona's ult falls for a common pitfall. Crescendo is defined as "A gradual increase, esp. in the volume or intensity". Note_ gradual_ increase. It's a common mistake, but a nitpick of mine. Fortissimo, on the other hand, is defined as "very loud or loudly, especially as a direction". That bitter fits, I think, an ability that's more of a quick blast than a building force.

TwistedFate Gate (R) > All In: Sure, you barely ever read "Gate" since it's the second part of Tobias' ult, but I think it'd be a nice addition of flavor.

Udyr Monkey's Agility (Innate) > Primal Avatar: Udyr only has four animal spirits... and if it's monkey's agility because he's a human being and they're related, that's an awfully stupid reason in my opinion. Does it evoke as much power as "Primal Spirit"? And Primal Spirit isn't inclined to any one animal spirit over the others; it ties them together. It is the raw fury of the animal, not just one type of animal.

Velkoz Organic Deconstruction (Innate) > Deconstruction: He doesn't just deconstruct organic lifeforms, guys. Heck, a number of characters in the game aren't organic. Plus, it's shorter and more to the point.

Volibear Chosen of the Storm (Innate) > Resurgence, Frenzy (W) > Blitz, Thunder Claws (R) > Stormbringer: Why? Because lightning puns, guys. And they make sense. On the first case, I think Resurgence makes it allows Voli to bounce back. Blitz, to hit hard and fast. And Stormbringer? For the shear epicness it exudes. I thought of making yet another lightning/electricity pun with Majestic Roar, but couldn't think of one.

I can take the criticism, y'know. You can at least put your disagreement into words.

Drackolus12/6/2015, 6:57:35 AM3 votes

I agree 100%, especially Sona's.

I can bearly understand your reasoning for changing Volibear ability names.

These are good ideas :p

ESPECIALLY Snap Freeze, when I play anivia I feel like her e fits that name

I dont agree with TF and volibear but the others are ok. TF ult isnt nessecarily is an all in. He can use it to reposition in teamfights or escape from getting killed on top of his ''all in'' move: ulting in the middle of enemy team, gold card, zhonyas.

Those new Volibear ability names seem really cheesy to me, that's about it.

I like all of them excep for Vel'Koz

TwistedFate All In: also because hes a card shark!

Volibear Majestic Roar > Thundering Roar

love Ez's rename idea

Please for the love of God can we change Quinn's ult's name again? Behind Enemy Lines is really stupid imo. Something simple as "Take Flight" or "Demacia's Wings" would be better. Tag Team was kind of lackluster though.

Do you even know what "Frostbite" means?

I'm not that familiar with Anivia, Velkoz, or Ezreal, so I can't speak to whether or not those changes fit. Kassadin, LeeSin, TwistedFate, Malzahar and Sona would all benefit, I think. I particularly like the Lovecraft suggestion for Malhazar, although Creeping Chaos may be more relevant. As far as Udyr, an abilities name should give you some hint as to what it does. Monkey's Agility sounds like what it is: something that increases speed. Primal Avatar, on the other hand, is not immediately obvious. Does it increase ability power? Health? Maybe it gives him some kind of bonus while he's in the jungle, I don't know, because it's really vague.

Gangplank Cannon Barrage --> Cannon Barrrrrage

No explanation needed

I like your idea but I think you going about for the wrong reason name changes are made to be more fitting or fit with the lore better, like the corki one his passive is all new now he doesn't have the strinel true damage on is as anymore he has artillery back at base- or grave's pasig he lost old destiny in the lore so he got a "new destiny"
