Illaoi was releashed November 24 2015, this November will be 2 years since her release and she still only has her crappy void skin which is no better than a purple chroma skin of illaoi. Have you just completely forgotten this champion riot? There are a few really good and easy ideas for skins for Illaoi. candy cane illaoi, her tenticles are candy cane stripped. (Goes with the candy king ivern skin) Priate Illaoi, she is dressed like a priate and her tenticles look like a giant squids tenticles Blood moon Illaoi, she has her own bloodmon outfit and her tenticles are dark red, whenever her tenticles hit a enemy champion it has a blood effect.

I know illaoi might not be the easiest champion to think of skins for, but just the few i named would be a 100 times better than her crappy chroma riot calls a "void skin"

It's all business, lad. Riot does have the staff and money to easily release about 8 skins or more a month. Kindred, Sol, Jhin, Kalista, many champs don't get skins for a very long time unless they're super popular like Lee Sin or they're about to announce some special event. Illaoi won't get a new skin unless she becomes very popular or she gets some important change, the skin will then be an extra to grab cash and hype people.

But seriously, Illaoi is popular enough, I'm sure she'll get one soon. I'm pulling for Pool Party, myself. She may be on the harder side to make skins for since she does have the tentacle models and animations in addition to her own. We'll see.

At this point I believe that they might plan to give her a pool party skin,in which case she'd have to wait for summer.

Personally I feel like Release skins are just never that great. It always seems like when the skins team is introduced to a new champion, they just take the safest most boring route possible. ShadowFire Kindred just involved making their VFX Orange. Void Bringer Illaoi just involved making her tentacles purple. Ashen Lord Aurelion Sol just involved making his stars red. Heck even High Noon Jhin isn't anything THAT Special.

I don't personally think any of these skins are bad, but I think you jump the gun too quickly by saying Void Bringer Illaoi was 'Just a chroma' because close to all release skins for new champions, are pretty bland and uncreative.

They started to try something new with the Cosmic Reaver skins, but the moment a clarity issue popped up (Xayah's feathers being moons) they just immediately dropped them and went back to the classic assets because they were too lazy to think of anything else.

Let's not forget that Zed only had the shockblade skin (not including the SKT Skin that was only temporarily available) for a LOOOONNGGG time, and he has always been a fan favorite. Sometimes we just have to wait it out for something that is worth it. (Championship Zed)
