Whats up with the ever increasing amount of champs sharing the same splash art?

I personally think it lowers the worth of the skin.

For instance, the recent skins that came out on the PBE for Amumu Nami Soraka Udyr and Nasus all share the same splash. 5 champs, 1 splash.

All the champs with pool party skins had their own splash. Other skin lines all have individual splashes for each champ. There are shout outs to other champs in the splashes, but they don't share a splash.

This all started recently with the warden and marauder skins. Your paying money for a skin, you should get the full effect. Like a splash just for the champ, not for one part of the champ, that is slightly in the splash.

TL;DR Stop making the same splashes for multiple champs

Well, if the skins under a certain theme are coming out at the same time, that's a lot of art to do, making an advertisement splash for all of them, then doing individual splash arts for them... as an artist myself, it sounds like quite a painful experience. Well, annoying at the very least. I personally don't blame them :/

Releasing a whole set at the same time is a likely factor.

well, shared splashes are actually harder to make, like, to draw. Whereas singular splashes are a little easier but overall like 5x more work b/c you're making 5 different splashes, which honestly is a totally unnecessary amount of work for a single event that was already a lot of work in the first place.

Drawing is hard.

I... really like the shared splash arts; I think they give a little more perspective into the champions themselves as well as their interactions with one another. /shrug/

Well the skins are only 750 RP so...

Surprise party amumu being the one exception.

Technically, every champ has a different splash for loading. That's the part that's included in the skin. The full-blown splash art? That's never on display to other people as part of you using a skin. The full splash arts are 100% free, visible in Champion details or directly within your game files. They have no connection to whether you have a skin.
