Metroid Shyvana

(Disclaimer: This is not my work but I think it would be a good basis for a skin if they added dragon gauntlets.)

I would enjoy a metroid themed shyvana skin that fell under the 1350+ quality that let her turn into ridley instead of a dragon. There are already a ton of video game inspired skins within league so I am sure Riot knows the game of how to pay homage to a series without copyright infringement.

I think there could be a neat upgrade system with flame breath and/or burnout turning a different color with each ability point that is put into them.

Update: Well, we did it everyone. We got over 2,000 people to look at this idea and hopefully a few Rioters that have a soft spot for the Metroid series. Thank you for taking the time to read the ramblings of a madman

I would throw my money at that. Though in terms of staying within existing skin lines it should be "project" shyvana and follow the style of that awesome, yet thus far unexplored, skin line started out by project yasuo.

Orrrr, Or, quick thought. Steel Legion Shyvana. It fits since shes demacian and it would look cool as hell. Thats the only skin ive ever truly wanted Shyvana

Just because it would look awesome. You could even power up her flame breath by making it a different color with every point you put into the ability like a Samus Suit upgrade.

If they're gonna be Metroid-inspired skins, at least have them be somewhat accurate.

Make the Samus be Vayne. Mechanically speaking, Vayne would emulate Samus sort of okayish.

Shyvanna can be Ridley. He has hand-to-hand combat skills, so the ult can be the flight, maybe transformin into Omega Ridley temporarily. >_>

Any of them could work, though in sticking with the theme for Shyvana skins, the gauntlets would need to be altered to resemble the upper and lower jaws of her dragon form and the tail I think is her hair done in a braid. It's possible.

The Idea is beautiful I absolutely love the idea but since samus Aron has several different suits the Metroid idea for Shyvana could make a very good new ultimate skin. for everytime she hits her ult her suit changes as well as the appearance of the dragon

Ridley is basically just a pterodactyl so just throw out a dragon with a slightly narrower head. Or go the battlecast dragon route like this guy's concept.

You can definitely make referenced skins to games. Look at king bowser, project Yasuo, debonair vi, mui Thai lee sin, Ekkos sand skin etc. lots of skins pay tribute without copying and pasting exactly what the character looks like

Veigar Greybeard is Gandalf from Lord of the Rings Warrior Princess Sivir is Xena Spectacular Sivir is wonderwoman Toxic DrMundo is the incredible hulk Cryocore is Mr. Freeze Augmented Singed is Bane Vayne in General is Batman Zyra in general is Poison Ivy Steel Legion Garen is literally a Grey Knight from Warhammer 40k and Steel Legion Lux is a Sister of Battle. The Commando line of skins are all base off Imperial Guardsman. Think about that...warhammer inspired skins...games workshop is widely known for being the biggest nazis with their IP on the planet, hell they even tried to have 3d printers BANNED in america because they thought it would cut into their figurine sales. If we can get away with that, we can get away with anything.

So remind me again. Why wouldn't this work? It is different enough to not be copyright infringement but similar enough for everyone to get the reference.

You forgot Forsaken , basically a Sith Lord. He even uses the Force in his recall. Full Metal is also super close to Samus' armor as is.

+1 for Metroid. Best game series EVER! Little known fact, Metroid is the first game to use a save system on the Nintendo, but it required additional hardware that people in Japan didn't like so we got the password system.

ANYWAYS, I am all for a Metroid themed skin, no matter who gets it. It would require me to basically main them for the rest of my League career.

Dark force killed the parents of an heir to a family fortune. The orphaned heir then uses that fortune to train and fund their own private war against those dark force that killed his/her parents. Both use black suits and rock a gothic bat theme.

Also Vayne...Wayne.... come on.

The concept is the same but the similarity ends there. Also I don't really see any of this "gothic bat theme" in Vayne's design.

Sure there's some bats there, but her actual costume design has nothing to do with "gothic bat themes".

I can't tell if I am just being trolled at this point or not. Her splash literally scream "I AM BATMAN", her story is similar, her theme and motivations are similar. She dresses up in black leather to go out at night and fight villains, hell even her ultimate causes her to trail bats and disappear in a cloud of them during tumble. What aren't you seeing here?

If you can't see how a black suited vigilante with a pointed cape who literally has bats flying around her is similar to batman I don't know what to say to you. You obviously are getting really worked up over this based on your response so it might be best to just dip out if I were in your situation.

On a side note: Of course the costume isn't going to look exactly like batman, but if you can't strike the similarities you must be missing something.

Black vigilante outfit? Check. Similar Names? (Wayne = Vayne) Check. Extremely similar backstory? Check. Utility Belt? Check. Bats? Check. Gothic themes? Check.

Maybe this is a gender thing? Would you prefer if I said Batgirl?

I feel like mecha aatrox is more like gypsy danger from pacific rim. Also mecha malphite looks kind of like the Russian jaeger as well. They also came out shortly after the movie.

And I personally think project yas more resembles the main character from metal gear solid reveangence.

But I do get and agree with your point.
